Hair That Rocks

I have been going to Steve for my hair need for about the last year. He is great! Always does what I ask of him and is very friendly! He also will style anyway you like as you leave. Free bang trims to boot in between hair cuts! I recommend you visit him!

I’ve been going to Carly for many years. Whether it’s a cut/​highlight or I have a special event/​night out, she’s always done an amazing job. I always joke that I wish she could do my hair every morning, so it could always look that good. Her up-​dos/​special event skills are incredible. :-)

I’ve been going to Yvette for about 13 years now. She is fabulous — I’ve had strangers ask me where I get my hair done, and I’ve referred at least 5 good friends to her as well.
Atmosphere is comfy, but doesn’t have the pretentious/​formal feel that some salons do. Lest the name fool you, your eardrums won’t be assaulted by caterwauling heavy metal singers while you’re there.
I’ve never been pressured to buy product, and it’s always easy to get an appointment. David at the front desk is awesome! I’ve also had a couple of gel manicures done by the manicurist there and they’ve been great.

I’m bummed. I asked one of my colleagues where she got her fab new haircut, and she told me about Hair That Rocks. I went in with high expectations on Saturday for a cut and color. The color looks great, but the hair cut looks worse than it did when I went in – just shorter. I asked for layers, but my hair looks all the same length, except slightly around the face. I even had pictures of past hair cuts on me that I really liked, but I didn’t get what I wanted. You’d think for 110 dollars, I would be happy. Wrong. I’m actually pretty pissed. I also didn’t appreciate feeling pressured to make another appointment for 8 weeks out. I don’t have the time or the money to get my hair cut and colored that often, which I had told the stylist while I was getting my hair done. Nonetheless, I was still pressured to make an appointment. Guess what? I most certainly will not be keeping it.
The salon itself is awesomely inviting and comfy. I just wish that my hair cut were as awesome as my friend’s. Of course, she went to a different stylist. I’m not willing to bet my tiny budget on trying this place again, though.

I’ve been seeing Harold since my early days of highlights and dramatic haircuts, and have not regretted a minute. Besides the fact that the studio is clean, aesthetically attractive, and comfortable, it also features a local artist each month.
Harold also does a phenomenal job with my hair AND remembers details of my life that I share while we’re chatting. He’s a bit like my bartender/​hair stylist/​counselor all in one. As a curly-​haired vixen, it’s rare to find a stylist who can take me on. But Harold has done just that! I wouldn’t trust this curly mane to any other!

When I first moved to Indy I searched for months for a great stylist. I found Hair That Rocks and I have been going to Carly for six years. I love the atmosphere and my cut and color always rocks.
