You know those place where you go in and you think to yourself, «Does this place even pass any codes or inspections?» EEK. Those were my thoughts every time I went to this place. Maybe it’s because I was spoiled by my primary care physician growing up and had an out-of-this-world experience every time, but this place is just scary to me. You walk in, the waiting room wreaks of stinky feet. The chairs are all mismatched. It just doesn’t feel professional. You fill out your forms and think, «Should I even put my social security number out of fear of them losing it?» You go through and are required to go through an «initial inspection» basically where they give you all of the stuff you need to do. I had a minor back ache after getting hit in my car while driving. They said I needed close to 4 months of work — seemed a bit much and a way to get more $$. You finally go through your inspection, set up your first appointment, and they make you watch this video that I found to be just silly and a waste of my time. I like that they gave me a folder with lots of information and a schedule of what I needed to do and different exercises, but I just feel that it was a waste of time. I watched the video, then met with the doctor(finally!), he took x-rays then he made me go through PT work. During my PT work, the girl/lady helping me didn’t even pay attention to me and I had to ask her how to do each exercise cause she was busy talking to someone else the entire time. I found that really rude. Look, I understand that it takes times to realign your spine and there are different ways to adjust it, but I just feel like this place doesn’t get enough clientele, so they stretch out every penny that they can get from you. I finally get the statement and realize that they charged me for two different things I never even received! Shock treatment and a ice/warm pack? What? Never received any of those things. It’s frustrating because this was my first time going to a chiropractor. Will I go back? Never again to this one.

It’s been about five weeks since my car accident, and a month of PT, acupuncture and adjustments have me on my way to recovery. The entire HS staff is great and has made my healing experience very pleasant and comfortable, all while increasing my endurance and strengthening my muscles. I enjoy the encouragement and ability to progress all in one convenient location. Whether you have an injury, a car accident or are interested in trying acupuncture, yoga or a nutrition class, they can get you on the right path and accept several types of insurance and payments. Friday’s staff theme costumes are reason enough to make you smile! :)

Dr Wheeler is amazing! I had almost immediate relief from my shooting back pain during the third trimester of my pregnancy. I have continued seeing Dr Wheeler weekly and have had almost zero back pain during the final 2 months of my pregnancy, even though my OB told me it would probably only get worse. Dr Wheeler is Webster certified, but she doesn’t just specialize in prenatal care. She has a wealth of knowledge on many subjects and seems to take extreme interest in all of her patients and gaining knowledge about their specific issues. HealthSource also offers physical therapy and massage. They are very insurance-friendly, unlike many other chiropractors. Highly recommend!
