Lilly’s Soap Kitchen

I really hate to leave a 1-​star rating. Lilly’s has some amazing and affordable soaps and lotions with really cute packaging. I have made several out of the way trips to this store during their regular business hours and the door was locked. For a small business, this is completely forgivable once; you have one person running the shop, maybe you have an emergency, fine. But it has happened to me at least 4 times, and not even close to closing time. I have asked the surrounding businesses and they have heard similar complaints from others. This business has missed out on hundreds of dollars in sales from only me and my friends/​family. I can imagine the overall impact is quite a bit larger. I would not recommend making any special trips to this shop because you will probably be disappointed. If you are in the area and the door (by some miracle) is open, you should stock up on anything you like because it will probably be your only chance to buy anything here. Very very VERY disappointing. They don’t even answer the phone.
LILLY’S, try keeping your hours and I guarantee you will see an increase in revenue. If you want to see a real profit, try acting like a real business. This is not an online store, this is a brick and mortar, a physical business, and you need to have a consistent physical presence. You might not have a customer the entire day and decide to close up shop, but you never know who is on their way (it could be 2 cars full of people from out of town ready to stock up on gifts and treats for themselves — that was me by the way). If you cannot keep your hours, maybe an Etsy shop would be better for you and your customers.

I absolutely love their lotion. The tootie fruity smells so incredible. I am in love with it. Her bath bombs are adorable little cupcakes, too, that smell lovely!!!

I’m in love with the soaps and lotions here. Both are creamy and rich but NOT greasy. Also a big fan of the sugar scrub — other ones I’ve tried were way too oily, but hers are just right and smell so nice. In fact, all the scents here are great. I have a hard time picking between them, so I just buy them all. They make great presents too, ’cause who doesn’t like to get awesome, locally handmade products like this?
