I had been fiending for a good slice of pizza. to no avail, i found Magoo’s. The pizza was ok. doesnt make me wanna go back. Also ordered a hamburger. Dont waste your money on a hamburger here. it was bread, lettuce, and hamburger patty. that was it. everything on the menu is $ 1 over priced.

WOW, great tasting pizza, had the leftover for pre-INDY 500 breakfast. Place is clean, nothing fancy, tables n chairs. Only negative, no beer. Pizza n beer go hand in hand

The chicken tikka pizza and kabab pizza is just an amazing pizza experience you must have when in Indianapolis. You can ask them to make it spicy and with the garlic sauce. Had an entire chicken tikka pizza after running the Indy mini half marathon and it was the best post run meal EVER!

I dont understand how this place has so many positive reviews because I was thouroughly unimpressed. So many reviews went on and on and on about this ‘Chicken Tikka pizza with garlic sauce’, so I got it. Also an order of jalapeño cheese bread. The pizza was bland and dry. I wound up having to grab some barbecue sauce from my fridge so it wasn’t so dry. The jalapeño cheese bread was good, but you can easily make it at home for next to nothing. I wonder if these reviewers have ever had Jockamo’s or Bazbeaux pizza, because THAT is how pizza should taste. Fresh ingredients and flavorful.

If you’re trying to find a pizza place that has some unique ways to make pizza, this is the place! This pizza place is known for their garlic sauce that you can substitute on your pizza instead of the normal pizza sauce. I live in Chicago and at least once every two months I drive down to Indiana to get pizza from here. The top 2 pizzas I would recommend are the meat lover’s and the chicken combo pizza, both with garlic sauce. This pizza is fireeee. Also, an added bonus this place is 100% zabiha halal. I can’t speak for any of their other food, but I definitely recommend their pizza with garlic sauce!

We’ve had Magoo’s twice and it’s about time I write a review! We are fortunate enough to live close to Lafayette Road /Lafayette Square because that means we have access to some of the best food Indy has to offer! Magoo’s California Pizza is definitely a top pick for us! We ordered the cheesy bread and Chicken Tikka Pizza twice … and you MUSTMUSTMUST get the garlic sauce! This is probably the best pizza I have ever had … the flavors EXPLODE in your mouth and the garlic sauce is just the perfect addition to the pizza. I haven’t had chicken tikka with red sauce but given the reviews I saw prior to our first trip there, I had to go with garlic and I’ll never change that! The pizza is light — the garlic sauce is not super heavy/creamy by any means. I definitely ate more than my fair share of this pizza!

BESTPIZZA ever. Enough said, but since I strongly recommend, I’ll say a little more. My favorite is the chicken tikka pizza with garlic sauce and I like to make it spicy. Their wings(spicy) are really good, just remember to bring your own blue cheese dip if you like both ranch and BC. The jalapeño cheese bread is really scrumptious too. I’m sure that anything I get here will blow your socks off, too. I will remain a loyal customer to Magoo’s, and I hope they expand more than the two locations they have so far!

Pizza is amazing!!! We always get the chicken tikka with garlic sauce and the meat lovers! Seriously, the best pizza I’ve ever had. It has a taste that differentiates it from other places that can’t be matched! The ambience is pretty plain, but that doesn’t matter to me because we always get the piazza to go. It’s ready in a quick 20 minutes and the quality is never compromised! The meat is halal, which is an added bonus! Don’t forget to get the ranch sauce to dip your pizza in, it’s a must!

I’ve never had any pizza better than Magoos that’s after trying it all over the globe. The food is delicious and always fresh and the meat is halal. For those who don’t know what halal is –It’s a standard for maintaining the animal as naturally as possible and not causing any artificial additives to it during its life and after slaughter. On top of the highest quality meats they also have put together some great American classics that do their quality justice. Every penny you spend here is well worth it! Love their garlic sauce and ranch sauce. Takes any pizza to the next level. Overall it’s a must try and definitely can’t let you down!

Heard a lot of hype about this place so I had to stop on our way from Chicago to Dayton and it was the perfect pit stop. The pizza is delicious and very reasonably priced. Crispy crust and quality toppings. The meat lovers, chicken tikka, and Chapli kebab pizza were all amazing. The best part is that everything is Zabiha Halal. If you’re ever in the area or driving through Indy, you need to stop here!

This was a friendly place and very casual. Order at the counter & then wait at your table with a number and they will bring your food. All drinks are in bottles or cans(even water). Very minimal décor, just tables and a concrete floor and few flags & pics on walls. Bathroom not dirty, but not really clean(we came at end of day). There’s a prayer room up at the front for, I believe, Muslims to pray. People going in would take off their shoes and kneel on a rug. Very unobtrusive, so it didn’t bother anyone. We aren’t Muslim and it was fine for us! Very international staff and clientele. We got the wings(mild were spicy enough for us), well made and tasty. Also got the Kabob pizza on half & chicken tikka with garlic sauce on the other side. Both were good. It was a good visit, but not amazing enough to go back.

We stopped here on the way to Chicago because of the Unilocal Reviews. The pizza here is amazing! They have the option of garlic sauce instead of regular pizza sauce. My friends loved the Garlic sauce(what makes them unique), I liked the pizza sauce better(You have the option of getting half and half). All their food is ZABIHA halal. We only got the pizza so can’t comment on the other food… well pretty much everyone at the other tables got pizza. Large speciality pizza = $ 16 The restrooms were clean, the entire place was really clean. It’s just not really fancy if that’s what you’re looking for. If you are from Chicago, it looks like Ghareeb nawaz but much much cleaner. It seems like it’s more tailored for carry out, but they have plenty of tables inside. I feel like any place that lacks in dining experience makes up for it with above average food(like this place). Also, if your buddies aren’t in the mood for Pizza, their are other options on their menu, and a gazillion other restaurants around! I would come back.

One of the best pizzas i have ever eaten. The veggie pizza is all indian style. They put an amazing pizza sauce which has jalapeño and garlic in it. It is quite spicy and satisfied my taste buds completely. Also try the jalapeño garlic bread with cheese. Will be worth it! The owner is extremely sweet and a jovial person.

I don’t even know where to start. I was SO excited about trying Magoo’s, as I’d heard so many great things and read so many stellar reviews of it. EIther my taste and sense of service is way off, or we were there on an off night for the restaurant, or something else entirely happened. To make a long story short, in addition to pizza, we ordered drinks and jalapeño cheese bread for an appetizer. After a 45 minute wait, our appetizers, drinks, and pizza all arrived at the same time. Yep, we had to wait 45 minutes just to get our drinks. The jalapeño cheese bread was the saving grace of the dinner… it was nothing short of stellar. We ordered two types of pizza, a Chicken Tiki and a Supreme. Both were… pretty tasteless, and the toppings were sparce. I just wasn’t a fan. It’s obvious tha many people ARE a fan of Magoo’s by how crowded they are, and since the jalapeño bread was so amazing, I’ll give ‘em a 2 instead of a 1. But I don’t anticipate returning. To many other great choices in town.

Indianapolis’ Lafayette Square neighborhood, recently dubbed«The International Marketplace,» is certainly living true to its name. With myriad multi-ethnic choices, one only needs to travel within a short radius to experience the most delicious food the city has to offer. While most of ethnic restaurants in the International Marketplace are traditional, one pizzeria is certainly not. Magoo’s California Pizza Kitchen creates an interesting fusion of American, Italian, Pakistani, and Mediterranean cuisine. With a truly unique menu, choosing what you will eat at Magoo’s makes for a tough decision I’m a big fan of pizza, and an even bigger fan of Pakistani/Indian food. At Magoo’s, one can get any typical type of pizza he or she desires. For religious reasons, Magoo’s does not serve pork products; however, the diner can still get his or her fix with beef versions of pepperoni and sausage. From my standpoint, making the atypical choice is the best way to experience this pizzeria. I suggest letting Magoo’s create the perfect nexus between Italy and the Asian subcontinent on your pizza pie. If you’re not a pizza fanatic, or if you’d just prefer something else, Magoo’s has plenty of other options, including Chappli Kababs, pasta dishes, burgers, and a really appetizing lamb sandwich. One of Magoo’s most popular items is the Chicken Tikka Pizza with their homemade garlic sauce(in lieu of tomato-based pizza sauce), peppers, and onions. Magoo’s will also add chopped jalapeño at no extra charge. Since I thought this sounded irresistible, I ordered it. Needless to say, my inclination was correct! Forgoing the typical pizza sauce for house garlic sauce certainly made the experience more unique. The ambiance at Magoo’s could use some work. Frankly, the restaurant is a bit dingy; it’s uncomfortable, and not very inviting for a relaxing dinner. This, of course, can be fixed by having your food delivered or opting for takeout. I also found the service to be lacking expedience. For example, we ordered cheese garlic bread with the intention of enjoying it as an appetizer – in other words, we wanted it prior to getting our pizza. Instead, it came with the pizza. On the other hand, the owner was very friendly, and proudly explained his menu for a first-time diner. The true ambiance of Magoo’s comes in their food, not the interior of their restaurant. If you’re in the mood for pizza with a unique twist, head west to this unique restaurant in the International Marketplace.
