Comfort food deluxe! Tried the meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and mac n cheese. All good, especially the meatloaf. As stated everywhere, HUGE portions!

The food was alright. The server was attentive. I was in a group of three and all of our food came out at different times. The rest of the group was done eating by the time I got my lunch.

This place is the definition of a hole in the wall. This is not the type of place you come for date night but it is the kind of place where you can find ample portions for a fair price. In fact I ordered a cheeseburger with fries and a side of broccoli and cheese for under $ 10! The burger was exactly what I wanted. It was juicy and thick, just the way I like it. I am still blown away by the amount of food I got. I think it was two plus meals for me. Next time I am going to try one of their desserts! I only gave it 4 stars because it’s not a clean place. It’s an old, well used establishment. It’s the kind of place I prefer to get take out from and eat in the comfort of my home.

It’s a local greasy spoon. I remember as a kid being so excited to go here for breakfast to get one of the pancakes that hangs over the plate or ooohing and aaaahing over their chocolate cream pies. I went for dinner this time, and although I was happy to see they finally updated their physical menus(they were worn out before), the food was just okay. Portions are large and prices are low. The cornbread was really good. The pies were still calling my name, but none for me on this visit. I suggest going by for a pie to go(because they are so tasty). Service isn’t the quickest and this isn’t a farm to table type of establishment. However, it’s a fixture on the south west side of Indy and will continue to serve the neighborhood for years to come.

Relative to all of the 4 and 5 star reviews, I feel as though I’ve missed the boat on something. This place is a dive, but I do enjoy a good dive, so I don’t have a problem with that. It did seem kind of dirty even by dive standards. Our server was great, and the staff was friendly. It’s just that I did not think our food was very good. We had the turkey manhattan with mashed potatoes and green beans. I will grant you that the portions were indeed generous and the price was very reasonable. The turkey and the green beans were ok, but the potatoes seemed instant, and the gravy was almost a gelatinous texture that really just tasted salty. I will say that some of the food our fellow diners were getting looked appetizing. In particular, the fried food looked like it might be worth a try. We witnessed our table neighbors seemingly enjoying their fried catfish, fried chicken, and some large onion rings. Probably at some point, when I am feeling adventurous, I should give the fried features a try.

To give this place less than 4 stars seems silly, especially since the price of the large amount of food makes up for anything else that you may have found sub-par about the place. It’s a hole in the wall in an industrial part of town. Not a hipster type hole in the wall where they’re doing it on purpose, but a true dive. They’ve been there a while and plan to keep it that way and certainly aren’t doing it with their designer digs but rather by serving affordable home cooked meals in large portions.

This is a breakfast dive. I enjoy finding dives. This place has personality. I ate at 7am Saturday morning, had the Mann’s breakfast. I had enough for lunch, and I’m not a small guy and I worked out before going. I will be back, I would love to try their turkey and meatloaf.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said? Yum! Mann’s might be considered a dive, but it’s a delicious one that I’d missed ever since leaving the job that I had near enough to it to stop in for lunch or a quick dinner. I think my favorite dinner meal is a turkey and gravy dish that’s served over stuffing. I always added mashed potatoes and macaroni & cheese… Nevermind the carbs or calories, it’s too good to care. But, when I want breakfast, Mann’s Breakfast is the way to go. So many different options where this HUGE breakfast is concerned. How do you want your eggs? Bacon or sausage? Home fries or hash browns? Biscuits & gravy or pancakes? I can assure you, the portions are healthy, even if the food itself is not! I am lucky to be able to eat half of this breakfast. But, even if I only eat a few bites of each, It’s inexpensive enough that I know I get my money’s worth. And, don’t forget to order pie(whole or a slice) or some banana pudding(my favorite) to take home with you! Mann, oh Mann, is it good?!(See what I did there?)

Went for lunch today, wasted 15 of my 30min. lunch waiting for a waitress to take my order. Ended up walking out, not even an apology. If you have a two hour lunch, maybe. Otherwise go someplace else.

If you haven’t tried their BLT you’re definitely missing out. It’s not on the menu but it exists and its amazing. Yeah its old, yeah its not pristine… but neither are the people that eat there(myself included). It truely is the working man’s restaurant. The portions are amazing, the food is good, the prices are cheap, the servers are polite, and it has a warm mom and pop feel about it. I’m new here and I’m already a loyal customer.

This isn’t my «norm» to dine at a dive. Feeling adventures I decided to stop at a little hole in the wall dive near my grandmother’s house. Although I don’t frequent the Westside often I many times have heard great things about Mann’s Grill. I’ll be honest upon first arrival I hesitated on taking a seat. Very noisy, patrons a motley crew and the smell of years of grease abuse I thought to myself NOWAY! A friendly voice from behind a cash register said«Take a seat hunny your server will be right with you! «. I was obligated. The booth I chose was a bit dirty however at this point it adds character as I have now realised they don’t care and are not trying to be a 5 star restaurant. The young lady that waited on me was very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. I had no idea what to order so she chose for me. Man’s breakfast. Soda served in a to go cup is brilliant! Mixed matched silverware had me in tears as I litterly lol! I was not prepared for what was to come. The waitress set down a heaping plate of bacon, nice! Eggs cooked to perfection accompanied by hashbrowns and toast. A generous portion of biscuits and gravy. I can’t believe for such a small price so much food! Don’t let the price take away the value of the food as it is DELICIOUS! I couldn’t stop eating it until sadly it was gone. You pay at the register. BEWARE. They tempt you with incredible peanut butter fudge. I was lucky I made it out alive! I’ll be at the gym for a few hours longer now. 5 stars to this establishment! Will return and bring friends and family.

I am not sure what to say that hasn’t already been said. Homestyle cooking, low prices and more than enough meals to chose from. I have tried turkey and dressing and there was enough for 2 meals. Tried the breaded tenderloin and it was good but I am on the hunt for the Hoosier style hand breaded tenderloin vs the fritter style. But at less than $ 4 it was fine. I also tried catfish.2 large filets on top of a bun. Plenty for a sandwich with enough left over for a separate meal but I left the bun and just went for the catfish. Last, bit not least, the coconut cream pie. I have to give it mediocre. No meringue, instead it was topped with cool whip. Good but definitely not homemade. As for the fellow complaining about cigarette smoke unless he was sitting outside I am not sure where that came from but there always seems to be one of those cigarette smoker complainers in every crowd. We have already catered to you all and even had to give up smoking sections. If you are that sensitive to cigarette smoke drifting from outside maybe you need to never go outside and just stay home.

Ordered grilled tenderloin sandwich. Received large portion with good service from server. This place wreaked of cigarette smoke and could not taste my food. Cost of food was unreasonable low for portion size. This place needs to reevaluate pricing vs overhead/costs vs profit. The business this place received was unreal for lunch. Broken table and booth seating needs to be fixed. Reason for 3 stars was cigarette smoke otherwise a five. I did not see people smoking in the room where I was seated, but I felt like I was being overwhelmed by it.

This place is a total dive bar. Actually, this place probably aspires to be a dive bar. It is a complete hole in the wall. With that being said you cannot beat the prices or the portions.

This place has gone down hill, it has remodeled but service is terrible, they wiped my table with a towel that looks as though they mopped the floor with it last night… I use to love coming here. but this will be my last visit and will never again recommend this place to my guest. It doesnt deserve the one star I’m giving it

Mann’s Grille(no reason for the extra M or an E on Grill) is as homey, down to earth, basic good food you’ll ever get, and by the pound, never better for the cash you put down. Greasy, yes. Large portions, YES. Well seasoned, YEP. Bearnaise sauce. NOWAY… Hungry for good food? Go. Want gravy with your meal? GO! Want the best home cooking for a little scratch? Mann’s Grille is for you(and I’m staring the hey, Drop the E on Grille, its only a Grill) campaign. Not really

What can I say that others haven’t already. Twenty plus years eating here and almost nothing has changed except the smoking so that should say it all. PLEASE remember if you have health issues, cholesterol, heart issues, diabetics, or concerned with your weight, turn away now. The food is truck stop food, LARGE portions, great prices, and just folks slinging hash. When I worked two blocks away we ordered carryout three or four times a week. Not healthy, I know. However, the portions are so large two people can easily split a meal which around $ 6 or $ 7. Cheap eating for two on a budget. The menu is large but be sure to ask what the specials are for the day. They sell out fast since they only offer on certain days. My husband and son love the salmon patties on Friday. We rarely eat in but only because we enjoy eating in front of our TV with our fur babies. I’ve had practically ever item on the menu and some are greasier than others. We order a lot of salmon patties on Friday, meatloaf with mashed potatoes and mac/cheese, country fried steak with white gravy, and my personal favorite is the roasted turkey and dressing with double dressing and corn. Seriously enough for two people or two separate meals. We haven’t had a grease issue with any of these. The T-Bones are tender and seasoned well. Breakfast are good but fried in lots of butter or grease. Biscuits and white gravy is terrific. Mann’s is always busy so if you call for take out be prepared for a busy signal but just dial back immediately. Once you get through the order taker most likely will be talking to you and someone else off and on since she’s handling 5 different things while she’s on the phone. Our carry out orders are perfect 99.0 percent of the time. Most of the containers are filled to the very top of the containers so be careful carrying it home. Later in the day they run out of popular items so be prepare for a back up selection if you come later than 7:00 pm. The average wait time for your carry out order is 10 – 15 minutes. They don’t mess around. The clientele ranges from locals, truck drivers, business Presidents & CEOs, salesmen, factory workers, and anyone who loves cheap comfort food prepared well for a greasy spoon eat here often. Nothing fancy but decent, cheap food, large quantities served by friendly servers. Please tip well even though the food is inexpensive if you enjoyed your food and experience. Even a greasy spoon doesn’t justify a two dollar tip.
