Cyclists: Park here to ride the Eagle Creek Greenway or ride in Eagle Creek Park without having to pay the $ 5 vehicle entrance fee. These soccer fields are located between Eagle Creek Park and the Colts Practice Field. There are 2 parking lots and several portable toilets. You can park here and then run or cycle on the Eagle Creek Greenway(through the soccer fields and down towards the LA Fitness on Shore Drive at 38th) or on the trails that go around and through ECP. The admission fee is lower if you’re on a bike than in a car, and you won’t need to worry about your car getting locked into the park if you ride late! It’s probably the best place to park your car while you bike or run because all the families coming and going for soccer means someone would definitely see if your car got broken into. The fields themselves seem to be well-maintained, there were people flying kites and throwing frisbees the day I went.

I live right next to the soccer complex. Even though I do not have kids who play soccer it is a great place to walk the dog. There are walking paths all along the park. The native prairies add a great place to see local wildlife.

I don’t know a thing about this locale in terms of its soccer league — odd, since I was such a huge soccer fan/player in my youth… But, if you’re looking for a great place to walk — with or without pups — jump in the car(I know, the irony) and head west toward Eagle Creek State Park. Unless you live on the west side, then… never mind, you get the idea. This place is such a well-kept secret when it comes to its walking trail, which winds all around the soccer fields. Part of the trail leads you behind some stands of wildflowers and hedges, another part takes you past ponds, and there are several benches along the way so you can take a break or two and just enjoy the quiet and nature. That is, if you visit when soccer season is NOT in full swing. Things I like about this park: it’s FREE and it’s usually not at all crowded. When I was a west-sider I used to take my «kids» here to walk… I enjoyed the view and fresh air, they enjoyed chasing all the wildlife…
