Nifty Nails

Went back here for a second pedicure and wasn’t as happy with the customer service or the pedicure. The nail polish wasn’t applied as nicely and we were very rushed. We did have an appointment but it didn’t really seem to matter this time. It must have been because they were very busy and were just trying to get as many people through as possible.

The shop is cute, clean, and relaxing. Vicky is an artist — my nails look absolutely beautiful. She worked quickly, but didn’t rush, either. I’m extremely impressed with her skill and service, and will be back regularly. The only improvement I could suggest is paying a bit better attention to one another, as there was some obvious confusion among the staff.

What a find!!! Nifty Nails isn’t in my normal stomping grounds but boy am I glad I was up in the Nora area yesterday when I decided, what the heck, may as well treat myself with a mani/​pedi. Being a walk in was no problem, the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. I did have to sit in the pedicure chair with my feet soaking for a while before a technician came, but no harm done, that’s one of my favorite parts.
The girl who did my service was very friendly and really took her time. The foot scrub was AMAZING. I was also really impressed by their polish — 90% OPI with every color imaginable.
The price point was a little bit higher than I am used to paying at my normal salon but in a pinch, I’d pay it again. If ever in the Nora area again, I will definitely stop in.

This salon is extremely disorganized. They were very busy, but their process of putting names on the waiting list was not effective at all. They finally took me back to a pedicure chair but I sat there for an hour without anyone even acknowledging me. They started to work on other people who got there after me and didn’t have appointments while I still just sat there. It was like I was invisible. Finally I just left. I would not go back here.

This was my first time at this nail shop. Impressed from the moment I walked in. Clean courteous and quick too. My tech was meticulous. I will be back again!

I went back and got my nails redone. I highly recommend Vicky! She takes her time and she is very nice. I had to leave to do something before I got my nails painted and then I came. Vicky had other appointments so I waited. Another person (a man, supposedly the owner and the same person that did my nails the first time) painted my nails for me and he didn’t do a very good job. He did one thin coat of nail polish and thin a clear coat that looks horrible. He rushed to paint them. So I don’t recommend him at all. Vicky is a great person to get them done by though (:

Terrible long wait… Over 50 minutes. Dirty and unfriendly service. The receptionist was helpful but when trash stayed on the floor and she saw it and spent the rest of her time texting I didn’t see that as something I would want. My daughter was told countless times by her tech that her nails were very short and what did she did to have this happen. When she told him it was a bad habit and she didn’t know most of the time when it was happening he took the time at the end to tell her he had to take more time cleaning them up! What s jerk! My tech didn’t even say hello. She popped my fingers and jammed my thumb causing it to be sore all day! I will not be back for all these reasons and they had been recommended.

I’ve been coming here for almost a year now — they are clean, very friendly and very reasonably priced. You can make an appointment with your favorite technician or come in as a walk-​in. I always look forward to my appointments.

I spent no time at all waiting. However, my nail polish is a little spotty and my technician wasn’t very friendly. Overall a 3 out of 5.

Worse mani pedi I’ve ever had.

First time ever getting a manicure and pedicure. I never wanted to take the time. Silly me. I had an excellent, relaxing experience and Victoria was so nice and clearly worked very carefully on my really awful looking toe nails. Finger nails needed less help but she was very thorough. I plan to return.

If I could give them 3.5 stars I would. Very clean facility, they were quick and to the point. I told them this was my first time getting my nails done so I kinda had no idea what I was talking about and the gal whisked me away and off we went. I asked for artificial nails/​french tip that were required for a wedding I am in this weekend and she went off and did gel french tip. They look very good but it wasn’t what I asked for and because I don’t know the process I had no idea she was doing the wrong thing until she was halfway done. At the end of the mani I had to remind her I also needed a pedi as she started to check me out. The guy who did my pedi was quick and efficient.

Love this salon! Nancy & Vicki are great!!! It is so clean & I absolutely love getting the gel manicure:) The staying power is amazing! If you want a professional manicure, this is the place to come! I haven’t tried the pedicure yet but that is next on my list.

I went to Nifty Nails because a local spa in Broadripple who waxed my eyebrows is now out of business. My eyebrows looked amazing. Several friends said I looked great – and my skin looked really good. The only thing I had done differently was the eyebrow wax. My eyebrows framed my face beautifully and the procedure was really reasonable… and, no wait!
I will be back – for sure!

This little salon was a treat yesterday! Very accommodating, friendly, and spoke fluent English. It is clean, well decorated, inviting, intimate and the chairs are comfortable, have a great massage feature and the women gave us a «tour» of the menu as well as showed us how to use the chair. It was all a very polar opposite experience we had just received at the Little Nail Shop less than 2 miles away. I was very impressed with my service and it was right in line with what all other salons charge. We got the cucumber pedi and I just love the nearly full leg massage with hot towels and fabulously smelling lotion. They offer OPI color choices and my toes and feet felt brand new!
They allowed my friend and I to talk (we were discussing important business — hehehe) and then hang out in the relaxation chairs for almost an hour AFTER the service was over. They didn’t rush the pedis OR the payment process eventually coming over when they realized that we were wrapping up our conversation.
It was truly a great place to connect with a new friend, get my toes dipped in a soothing bath full of floral scents and blue bath beads, and enjoy an afternoon. Far and away a great salon. I would definitely go back.

Affordable $ 30 gel manicure. No extra charge for gel removal. Victoria did an excellent job and really took her time. Love love love.

I went there because it was the first nail salon to answer the phone on a Sunday morning. Since they were having a 30% grand opening discount I indulged in one of their upgraded spa pedicure services. They spent over an hour on me and it was very relaxing. The place is fresh, clean, well decorated and they also seemed to make an effort to speak English to each other in front of the clients.
They also allowed me to add the tip when paying with a credit card — something they wouldn’t let me do at the OP Nails down the street.

The 30% off «Grand Opening Special» sign drew me in the first time and the great experience brought me back a second time!
What I loved:
–No wait (and both of my visits were prime-​time pedi-time…aka Saturday late morning)
–Super relaxing pedi chairs, and lots of them (8?)
–Enormous selection of polishes and a wide range of services at all price points.
–No chemical smell!
–Complimentary hand scrub to use @ the sink when you go wash your hands pre-​polishing.
–Nice clean bathroom (I looooooove a clean bathroom!)
What I’d tweak if I could:
–The décor. Its clean, but it kind of looks like a Kirklands threw up in here… and I don’t mean to offend the Kirklands shoppers of the world… but there are a lot of faux flowers + vases in this joint.
And, it’s located next to Huddles. So, why not make it a double treat and get some fro yo after your fingernails? ;)
