A straightforward bar. Decent beer selection, friendly service and, the typical pub food. The burger was good, fries were average. Decent value for the money and would be a good place to drink and talk with friends.

Visited your establishment for the first time on Sat May 21st. Went to go see some friends of mine that were playing in the band that night(Mudge & the Minions) Really satisfied with the food, beer(where else can you find Sun King wee mac on tap !) and the service. I was just wondering how often you have live music ?(didn’t see any mention of it on your website) There were 20 to 30 people from my group that enjoyed the music, food & alcohol. There is at least two other bands within that group of people, just wondered what it would take to book some more shows there? Tim Essig and/or

I love this place. Small, sweet, simple and to the point. There food is good and extremely cheap. Beer and cocktails are also really cheap. The wings are small but tasty and cheap. You also can’t go wrong with ordering any sandwich because you can get it any style, any which way:) I’ll be coming back this summer!

So the food is pretty good. The drinks are pretty good. It’s a nice little place. I’ve been here 6 times and 2 of the times I have had the same waitress that really didn’t want me to be there. She very much treated me like it was a «locals only» type of place and they didn’t need my business. She’s definitely one of the reasons I only go as infrequently as I do because it really is a pretty good joint. The last time I was there, Wednesday, she scolded me for not knowing what I wanted on her second trip to the table… which was to deliver our beers. She pretty much disappeared after that. It’s disappointing that one employee can change a place so much from each visit. This was probably my last time.

Tried this place for the first time this weekend. The waitress was super nice and the food was great. Not overly priced or super crowded. They also had some good local beers on tap. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

My friend and I visited 2⁄25 about 10:30pm. I am a new patron at this new location. We were hungry and I ask the bartender what was popular on the menu and she rudely said it is not her job to tell us what we like or what we should order. We were just asking questions. I was talking with my friend about how rude her reaction was to our questions and she came over and confronted me and said if I didint like it I could leave and then proceded to kick me out. I wasn’t drunk, angry, mean or said anything other than expressing to my friend the customer service was lacking. My friend who has been there before said she is hard to deal with. So there is a history. I dont want to let one employee affect my opinion of a great place to frequent but as long as she is there I should spend my money at Keystone Grill or the Mouse Trap.

–Ordered carry out for us today. I don’t often order hamburgers but this is the second time I’ve had their patty melt & it is delish. I ask for not much oil & they always comply. Hubsters fav is their spinach melt. It all came home hot & very good. I’m picky about beef & I have to say their grilled burgers have a better flavor than some of the high end restaurants!

One of my favorite spots in Indy. Favorite guilty pleasure is the onion rings. They offer cocktail with it and it’s tasty. Wear your stretchy pants and order the breaded tenderloin. It is the best I have had. Additionally there are great drink deals and your wallet won’t be hurting after a visit.

Although I love the food at this place, the staff is hit and miss. I’ve had really great, friendly service from some of the older staff, that I believe has worked their a while. But sometimes I think the younger ones I’ve had, were borderline rude at times. Again, the food is always great, and they have a great patio, the service being hit and miss is my reason for less than 5 stars on this one.

This was a very comfortable atmosphere, with a dive bar feel. Service was a little slow but nothing to complain about. Very good draft beer selection and menu was big. Had the patty melt and was very pleased.

Oh, Pawn Shop, what a hidden gem. It’s a small dive with a spacious outdoor patio, cheap bar food, and friendly service, in a low key atmosphere.(The inside is adorned with colored Christmas lights. Yes. Seriously.) The breaded tenderloin is one of the best and I can’t bring myself to order anything else everytime I’m here. Although, I admit that I recently tried a bite of the frisco melt burger and it was amazing. with sourdough bread, crispy bacon, and melted cheese… delicious. Their onion rings are heavily breaded, crunchy, and HUGE. For a half portion, four of them is plenty. Local draft beer pints are $ 4.25 and although the local selection is very limited, it is one the things I am willing to overlook since everything else is so great here.

The service here was awesome. The staff are friendly, the food is great, the beer selection is wonderful. You drive by this place and think it might not be that great, it looks like a small place and a dive but you’ll be pleasantly surprised. If you are looking for great bar food, friendly service and great drinks at the right place this seems to be the place.

Price to quality of food makes Pawn Shop a home run. Friendly people and great service. Place kinda reminds you of Cheers. Amazing what you can do with an old Long John Silver location. The steak special on Thursday can’t be beat, $ 9.95 for 10oz NY Strip with side and soup or salad.

What a gem! I’ve driven past this place many times, but little did I know what an amazing, undiscovered place it was. Somewhat hidden just off Keystone, it’s a great little place with cheap drinks, cheap food, a good atmosphere, and a really great outdoor area. I drank two decently big margaritas and a Corona for about $ 13, and that wasn’t by far the cheapest way to drink. They have a really large menu, and as I mentioned before, the food is cheap and looks very high quality. Our service was kind of bad on this particular night, but I don’t blame the pub, it was definitely more of our waitress. The outdoor seating is amazing! A huge patio with lots of tables for sitting and you can trade your driver’s license in order to play cornhole out on this really incredible playing area. The playing area is a large concrete patio with picnic tables, a bar, benches, cornhole sets when gotten, and even drink holders to hold your drinks while you play! I was really impressed with it. It’s going to be a perfect place to spend some summer nights because I’ll without a doubt be coming back here.

This is my go to place when I have a craving for bar food. This divey bar is one of the many hidden gems of Indy. It’s small and the staff has always been accommodating and friendly. Now onto the food… On Tuesday and Saturday evenings they have The Big Pawn. This is a pork tenderloin sandwich dressed as a Big Mac. This sandwich is the epitome of all pork tenderloins. It’s crispy and juicy, smothered with special sauce, cheese, lettuce, onion and pickles all between a sesame seed bun. Another favorite is the black bean burger. Now I want everyone to know that I am not a vegetarian… I tried to be once and didn’t even last a week! But their black bean burger is full of flavor and works particularly well on their Black and Blue Broker burger. It starts with a shun dry rub, then bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion and is slathered with a creamy blue cheese sauce. Tots, sweet potato fries, onion rings or straws are my side of choice. Fish and chips are delicious as well. Basically long story short this place has something for everyone and everything I have had is awesome.

If you’re a fan of onion rings you should get to The Pawn Shop and try theirs. I was told about the onion rings before I went so expectations were high, and they managed to impress anyway. The batter is delicious and has just the right amount of crunch. The onions aren’t stringy so you don’t have to worry about pulling half an onion out of its sheath prematurely. A buddy I was with said the club sandwich is good also, and the beer specials can be nice if you catch them on the right day. The burgers were also hyped before I tried them but all 3 burgers at my table were overcooked by a lot. They have a lot of TVs so wherever you sit you’ll have a view of one, but on game day you’d better be a colts fan because they just have regular cable so they’ll all be on the colts game. Normally onion rings alone wouldn’t be enough to get me to come back but I live too close to give up on it.

My fiancé and I enjoy coming here for some pub grub and drinks. Their beers are pretty cheap and their food is delicious. Their burgers always seem very popular as well as their onion rings. I’ve tried both and they are delicious. I am partial to their wings, which are crispy and their medium Buffalo sauce is awesome. Their fish and chips are great and my fiancé really enjoys both the patty melt and the Reuben. I am pretty convinced that you really can’t order anything«wrong» on their menu. I can’t wait to sit out on their patio when the weather gets nicer!
