Thank you for fixing my glasses after I took a five year old foot to the face :) The person who helped me took her time and brought the fit of the bent glasses back to perfect. And, then she gave me a great deal on a sunglass clip that I need and have been wanting. I have been here three times now and they have always been helpful and professional.

Everyone was nice, although there was a continual attempt to get me to buy new glasses, even though my prescription had not changed enough. The biggest reason I wanted to write a review is that I selected this place because of the great reviews on Unilocal. They charged an extra $ 39 for retinal imaging, this was only disclosed at the time of the appointment, not upfront when I made the appointment. It was either pay the fee, or get your eyes dilated. This was a surprise as my previous eye doctor included the retinal imaging in the cost of the visit. I had already made the appointment and cleared the time in my schedule, so I couldn’t just say«screw it» and leave. I will not return.

I saw Dr. Walborn for the first time and I see why he has such good ratings on multiple healthcare sites. I came both for me and for my daughter. Dr. Walborn participates in the InfantSEE program(a public health program managed by Optometry Cares® — the AOA Foundation, is designed to ensure that eye and vision care becomes an essential part of infant wellness care to improve a child’s quality of life. Under this program, participating optometrists provide a comprehensive infant eye assessment between 6 and 12 months of age as a no-cost public service). Staff was very nice and professional and I only waited a few minutes for my appointment. He examined my extremely squirmy 10 month old and was very patient and gracious with her(you can tell he’s a dad himself). He was great with my exam, too, answering all my questions.

PRO: Have been going to Progressive for 13 years without issue. Overall kind staff, and good selection of eyewear. CON: Pricey… Inconsistency with billing practices between doctor and front desk vs. what you see. I have experienced errors in billing and unknown insurance billings, resulting in balance months after all was assumed paid in full. Unfortunately, Progressive has grown bigger and have new staff changes every time I’ve been in lately. Suggestive Outlook: Check statements and verify the accuracy of how and what is being submitted to insurance and compare charges to what maybe on file,

Been going here since moving to Indy back in 2008. The service is great and the people are always happy when checking my eyes. The docs are courteous and find time to explain things to me. The artwork makes the office really pleasant to be in. The selection of glasses and sunglasses are excellent.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Perry Lopez for almost 25 years now. I had been wearing glasses since the age of 9 months(yes, you read correctly: 9 months!!!) and Dr. Lopez suggested that I was an ideal patient for lens replacement surgery. He encouraged me to do this and referred me to a surgeon who removed the lenses of my eyes and replaced them with multi focal lens implants. My eyesight is now 20/20, and I don’t need glasses nor contact lenses. My life has changed since then in so many ways. I am 59 years old and have lived on 2 different continents and Dr. Perry Lopez is by far the most competent, thorough, and professional optometrist I have ever seen(no pun intended). He is friendly, kind, knowledgeable. HEISTHEBEST!

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Perry Lopez for at least 10 years now… Not only is he a great eye doctor, but the entire operation is top-notch. In the past couple of years, I ‘ve had 2 medical issues with my eye and both times, they were able to squeeze me in for a last-minute same day appointment w/Dr. Birtwhistle to get me fixed up! I also love that they have the retinal scanning machine, so I don’t have to get my pupils dilated.

Really enjoy my visits. I used to get eyewear there prior to LASIK, which they also helped me get the ball rolling. I also went there for my LASIK follow-up visits, and eventually got it down to just my annual exams. Just had a visit last week to make sure things were still intact and functioning as expected. They also indicated that a pair of readers would benefit me at work and with up close reading(LASIK improved my far vision at the cost of some near vision, which is what I wanted). Then they proceeded to inform me that my vision insurance would cover just about all the cost of a pair of frames and lenses. Saved me from heading to «walmart» and spending about the same as my deductible, and got custom lenses designed for my prescription, no generics! Dr. Birtwhistle is always a pleasure when discussing my ocular status, and anything else that comes up. You can tell he truly enjoys his job and decision to become a Doctor of Optometry. I have also had the opportunity to be seen by a couple of the others at the 82nd street location, and have never had a bad experience. A+

These guys rock! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. They explain what they are doing, why and what the results and measurements MEAN. The entire office voted on the frames I was considering and Dr. Birtwhistle is always a pleasure to see when I come in for my exam.

Dr Walborn is always so nice and the staff so friendly. I’m always in on time and both the Fishers and 86th St locations are great!
