We tried Punch Burger for an early dinner one night. It was on par with other reviews. I had the Burnt Cheese and my husband had the Texan, since we are from Texas. We shared the half and half basket. My burger was tasty and big. Even without the bun I couldn’t finish it. The waffle fries and sweet potato tots were great and that basket was plenty big enough to share. My husband enjoyed his Texan burger. All in all, not the best burger I’ve ever had, but I liked it better than Bru Burger Bar. Great place to go if you’re looking for a regular cheeseburger.

This is not a great burger. We all ordered medium rare and got black. So far over cooked it was difficult to enjoy. It was crunchy with no sign of juice or moisture. Pleasant service did not make up for food quality. You’d be better off at Chilis.

Stopped in tonight for a burger to go. The burger was good, but the restaurant was filthy. Floor was nasty, multiple empty tables with spills, dirty napkins, etc. They need to step it and keep the place clean.

The Aloha Burger. WOW! This definitely exceeded my expectations. I normally don’t like ham on anything, let alone a burger. This was different, though. This was thinly sliced and grilled. It just added another layer of flavor to the already super tasty burger. It’s messy and pairs beautifully with some waffle fries. I’m so glad I found something I LOVE here as I’m in the area regularly. I’m sure the real estate directly impacts the cost of everything(which is a little high for counter service), but in this case I’ll still go back. They also have sweet potato tots(but you get way more to eat if you order the waffle fries). They have the Coke Freestyle machine, which I always consider icing on the cake. The chalkboard wall menu is awesome as well! P. S. They have a small outdoor seating area, in case there are just one or two of you!

Great burger place in downtown Indy! I loved the build-your-own burger option in addition to their special burgers. I chose to build my own and the process was quick and easy. First, you pick your meat: beef, turkey, duck, or chicken(it’s not listed on the board but they have chicken so just ask). It’s great that they used locally-sourced and grass-fed meat too. Then, you can pick from a variety of cheeses for just $ 0.65 — thank you for not charging an outrageous amount like other places do. Next there are so many different toppings and sauces in addition to your typical lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickles. I liked that most of the toppings and sauces were free so you don’t have to pay extra to customize your burger unlike many other burger joints. I was feeling basic so I built a cheeseburger with the basics and added mushrooms. The beef patty that I had was juicy and flavorful. They put the mushrooms at the base under the patty so they didn’t slide out at all. The other toppings were also very fresh. Others in my party got the grilled chicken and it wasn’t dry at all. I’m not sure if it’s because the place wasn’t crowded when I was there, but they brought the burgers to us personally, which was a nice touch. Overall, the prices are pretty fair(~$ 6 – 7) and everything was served quickly. The reason why I only gave it 4 stars is, while tasty, it doesn’t stand out to me above others.

I like the concept of this fast paced burger joint! Order at the counter then seat yourself. When it’s ready they bring it out. I had the Thai Burger with sweet potato tots. Both were great! But better yet! They have local beer! So if you need a quick filling dinner… Punch Burger is a good choice. I felt like their portion were generous and prices were fair!

Punch Burger recently added grilled chicken to their menu, making it a top lunch choice in the downtown area. Easily the juiciest and most fresh chicken sandwich I’ve ever eaten, served with a smile and some waffle fries. The quality and taste of the food, combined with the excellent service and reasonable prices, earns Punch Burger an easy five stars.

This place really impressed me! I’m glad I don’t go downtown a whole lot, because I would eat here everyday. It reminds me of a Tom and Chee, but featuring burgers. They are very creative and offer a super awesome product! The place is clean and well maintained. I went in just after noon, so prime lunch time. It was busy and tables were taken, so I grabbed a spot at the bar top. I got my food in under ten minutes. That’s waiting in line to order and to receive my order. Well oiled machine may I say? Service was friendly and detailed as the front cashier gave me every option as to guide me through the ordering process. Now the food. This is where I was blown away! I ordered the Burnt Cheese, lightly pink. It’s truly burnt cheese, but in an awesome way! It gives it so much flavor and the burger was cooked perfectly with amazing juiciness and flavor. I also got a basket of half waffle fries and half sweet potato tots. OMG! Whatever they season the fries with is very unique and stood out! I got a side of cheese dip for the fries that really made them stand out from other places. The sweet potato tots were also amazing! There was a perfect amount of toppings, mayo, and ketchup on the burger. All in all, I love this place! I just moved here and looking for the best Indy food. This is an awesome spot! I’m glad I don’t live close to downtown, because I would eat here everyday and end up with a heart attack soon. I love getting a good burger, but have to limit it to once in awhile. This place blows Five Guys away!

My girlfriend and I visited Punch Burger with my 18 month son Saturday afternoon. We both got the burnt cheese burger, mine with turkey, hers with beef. We also split a basket of sweet potato tater tots. The service was friendly and fast and the burgers were delicious. Thinking now about the burnt cheese is making me want one now at 7am. I also LOVED the tater tots! As toddlers do, my son made a mess of his granola bar he was eating. I usually try to clean up after him, but in this case the staff played with my son and were happy to clean up after him. I can’t say enough about the family friendly service! I can’t wait to return for some more burnt cheese and tater tots!

Punch Burger wins for being a beautiful marriage of local and affordable. I love the ability to build your own burger or try one of the 9 specialty burgers. These pretty little burgers are made out of grass-fed angus with no hormones or antibiotics. In the past I have raved over the classic Punch Burger(and continue to do so), but this visit tried the Thai Burger, and wasn’t a huge fan(too much peanut butter for me). What goes better with your burger than a nice, cold, local beer. Punch burger has several on tap that rotate in and out as seasons change at a decent price. I wouldn’t recommend this place for a super large group; it’s pretty cozy, but there is some seating in the back. Tots, shakes, and vegan patties also available for your taste buds’ enjoyment.

If you want a burger made to perfection, look no further. The chef’s grilled our burgers to a perfect medium rare. Not only was the meat seasoned properly, the meat, to condiment, to bun ratio was on POINT. It also helps that this place is EXTREMELY inexpensive– 2 burgers, a basket of fries and 3PBR’s only set me back 25 bucks… can’t beat it!

Walked here after we found out the wait at Nada was 90 minutes(yikes). After a chilly walk with our little one in tow, it was nice to get some hot greasy food in our stomachs to warm us up. Burgers: I got the burnt cheese and my wife got the Punch burger. You get the option of getting the patties well done or «a little pink». Overall, wish the burger patty was juicier. Condiments and buns were good. Satisfying overall. . Sides: damn, the waffle fries with cheese were AMAZING… Whatever the waffle fries are seasoned with… Wish fast food places would look into this recipe. Also got the sweet potato tater tots which were perfectly crispy on the outside without being dried out in the center. If it were just for the sides, I’d give this place 5 stars because I could seriously come here for the waffle fries and sweet potato tater tots alone. When I throw in the cheeseburgers, I’d say it’d average out to 4 stars. Would come back.

So, I’m in Indy fo work and of course we want to try all the best Indy restaurants. We happened upon this burger Gem on our 1st night in town. When we walked in it smelled of sizzling meaty burgers. We had found it! Dinner that is. Immediately to b the left when you enter, you will see the huge chalkboard menu. We stood there a few moments reading the wall of deliciousness: burgers, grilled cheese, sandwiches, sauces, cheeses, dranks & drinks, fries, sweet potato tots, shakes, variety of buns, toppings upon toppings, ice cream shakes! The cashier noticed us and said«Let me give you a menu. It’s easier to read than the board.» Once I read the menu, I decided on a make my own 1/3lb burger with Angus Ground Beef, cheese, onion, house made pickles, and lettuce. I was ordering the ½ tot ½ waffle fry basket and the cashier gave me the tip that the side was huge and could be shared by myself and the the two others with me. He didn’t lie! Our orders came out hot and fresh! My friends tried the ground duck with angus and the vegan veggie pattie(that was a plus for her because it’s Lent). The burger was hot seasoned well and delicious. The tots were sweet and crispy and the waffle fries were the crispiest I’d ever had. Definitely drop in! Clean, delicious, friendly, reasonably priced, and great speed of service!

I love that Punch Burger is a local fast food restaurant. The crew at PB makes some amazing creations– from breakfast inspired burgers and more– you simply can’t go wrong here. This place is great for a large group that can’t make up their minds because there is definitely a burger for everyone. Of course my preference is the ever juicy regular ol’ cheeseburger. It’s scrumptious and piled high with fresh veggies. Pair it with their oh-so-yummy waffle fries and this is one of the best fast food options around!

Clean, friendly, food alright not great. At a Unilocal party last year the burgers that were served were absolutely amazing. They actually ran out and just had the burnt cheese left which was also great. It doesn’t seem that the same flavor comes out at the restaurant. Can’t explain why. Seasoning off, different cook surface used, different cook, not as much care or time in prep. Just not as good as at Unilocal party.

So, I’d like to preface this review with we don’t keep red meat in the house. But, we made a flank steak yesterday on a whim and it’s left an aftershock of red meat desires. So, doing what any normal carnivore would, I decided to get a burger for lunch. Punch burger is right down the block from where I work so I’m instantly giving it a star for convenience. I walked in and the restaurant was clean and the service friendly, another star. I decide to be basic and order the Punch Cheeseburger. I was asked if I wanted it well done or a little pink; the red meat loving devil on my shoulder told me to choose the latter. I ordered a basket of waffle fries, intending to share them with some folks in the office. I paid, used a cool little tablet to sign, and was told my order would be up soon. Another star for quick service and pleasant staff. I get to my desk to eat and am slobbering at the thought of that delicious burger. I take one bite and its veggie! Rabbit food! I was heartbroken. Minus one star, Punch Burger. I called up and the gentleman told me he was sorry and he would get another one for me right away. He even offered to bring it to me since I was just down the block. Okay… you got your star back! When my new burger arrived it was accompanied by yet another basket of fries. Plus one star for the thanksgiving feast of waffle fries! All in all, punch burger earned one more star for the quality of their food. The fries were delicious and the burger hit just the right spot. So, hats off to you Punch Burger. You’ve earned one of my coveted 5 star reviews :)

I love any place that serves milkshakes. They also have really interesting burger choices, such as the Thai Burger with peanut butter or the Aloha Burger with grilled pineapple. The burgers are definitely good– not to die for, but definitely widely liked. The service was also very kind and friendly and the food came out quickly. We came for Devour Downtown and the Devour price was the same as it would normally be in the store. There’s not much parking out front, but there’s two parking garages across the street($ 4-$ 5 for an hour).

Plus half a star. So I have been to a million burger places in my day and this place is average at best for the burger they present. The price($ 13+) is a little high for a burger(single questionable 1/3lbs patty) and tater tots(maybe 15 tots) and a small drink(16oz). I ordered the burnt cheese burger. The burger presentation was haphazardly put together. The burger is probably one of the messiest things I have ever eat and yes I have had BBQ ribs… I will say it was nice to see the burger cooked to order. All in all this place seems like an overpriced yuppy-ish post college grad hang out with burgers that are just… Okay. The service at the register was pleasant so no complaints there. I asked what the most popular burger was and without hesitation he answered prompted me on the most common orders. Sweet potato Tater tots are nice but it’s not super special. I mean I can get that at Sonic. This is an average place with an above average price. Not bad food… Not great food. Just okay being generous.

Always a good go-to options for some quick and delicious food downtown. They lie somewhere in between fast food and a full service restaurant. You walk in and consult the hand-written menu of burgers on the giant chalk board wall, and order at the counter. Then, just grab a seat and they will bring your food out to you in a paper lined plastic basket. They have a few unique burger combinations that certainly skew outside the normal offerings that you are used to seeing at other places, or you can build your own from a decent list of ingredient options. They also offer a handful of different patty options outside of just beef; including turkey, duck, and a vegan veggie patty. The price for a burger and a side of fries is going to run you around $ 10, and bump it closer to $ 12 if you want a drink with it. That pricing seems a bit higher than it should be, as you could go to a place and get an equivalent meal at the same price with table side waiter service. Also, I hate places like this that ask for a tip before you have done anything other than order at the counter and pay. One nice draw here is that they are certainly a quicker place to grab a meal than other restaurants around the area, and that is usually the reasoning behind when I ever suggest going there. They turn tables pretty quickly, although it isn’t a real big place. One surprising thing here is that they carry a decent beer selection at respectable prices. They only have about 6 taps, but they are always full of great Hoosier beers to go along with a longer list of bottles of the more popular crowd-pleasing beers, so stopping in for a quicker meal doesn’t mean you have to give up enjoying a great beer on tap. I wish the place was open later in the evening, especially when I get a craving for a basket of their delicious waffle fries after having a few beers. I did happen to end up finishing up eating here recently right as they were closing, and before heading out I got to see some of their cleaning practices. I have to hand it to them; I was honestly surprised as to how detailed they were in cleaning up their kitchen area. I’ve only worked in some fast food kitchens back in high school, but we certainly never went over everything with that particular of a routine. I am impressed. Along with their diligent cleaning, the people working here are always nice and outgoing. They look like they are having fun at work, and that certainly makes for a better customer experience. I’d be here more if their burger and fries that you order from a counter were closer to $ 8, but they definitely provide some good food at a quick pace. It’s worth a visit when you have a craving for something unhealthy.

Some friends and I came here on a Sunday afternoon following a 5k. Because we deserved it! The cheeseburger was delicious — flavorful patty, fluffy bun. Waffle fries were crispy and well-seasoned. I was a little less sure about the sweet potato tots — a bit too sweet for my liking. Overall, I’d certainly pick this place over restaurants like Five Guys, and my meal was about $ 2 more than that kind of option. I’ll be back, and next time I’ll get a milkshake!
