It’s very rare to find a good hot chocolate in this country, especially in an airport. South Bend Chocolate Company makes a good hot chocolate with good quality chocolate. It was a very unexpected surprise at the airport. I’ve gotten some of their caramel corn and chocolate to give as gifts and they’re also very good.

Christmas morning and I’m one of the early birds at Indy airport preparing for a trip to the world’s fringe. .. A fringe without chocolate. Terrifying. One of the consequences of communism.
I didn’t know this place was even here because I always depart from the A Wing (left as you arrive). This place is in the B Wing. Wish it were in the central food court.
Anyway, gorgeous looking gift chocolates. I decided to get a morning cup of hot chocolate. I knew we were headed in the right direction when melted chocolate was ladled into my cup. This really was some first rate chocolate, plus a friendly chat with my chocolatier. And good for her working to give her employees Christmas morning with their families.
Gift chocolate shops are popping up in airports across the country. All of them charging a premium price, not as many making good chocolate (cough, cough. .. See’s, cough, ahem). South Bend is legit. Can’t wait to go back.
