This is my favorite Taco place! If you want an authentic taco with fresh grilled steak, this is the place! It is definitely a little shack that you would never think to eat food out of, but it’s great! Prices are way better than any fast food restaurant you can go to. I want to try the Tortas bc I’ve heard they’re amazing, but I can’t help but order tacos bc I crave it almost everyday! I order 2 – 3 steak taco supremas, which are $ 2 each, and then I order a small side or guacamole with 4 extra corn tortillas bc they give you so much steak in each taco that I use my 2 tacos and spread out the meat when I get home to turn it into 5 tacos, lol. The Chica steak Quesadilla is my husband and kids favorite bc it’s just grilled steak and cheese in a flour tortilla. It’s their mini quesadilla, but it’s more than enough for one person. I can’t speak for any of the other items on the menu, but if you want an authentic steak taco, don’t waste your time anywhere else. I won’t sit at any of those other «authentic» Mexican dives unless I want a cheap margarita and free chips and salsa bc if I want authentic good Mexican, you’ll find me in line at this shack!

This hole in the wall restaurant easily has the best tacos in Indiana. All food is cooked to order. Credit and debit are now accepted forms of payment. Service is fast. Employees are friendly. Food is affordable. Listen if you’re looking for good quick Mexican food and want to avoid fast food Taco Bell this is the place for you. If you are looking for good Mexican food and you don’t want a dine-​in experience, this is the place for you. If you just want amazing Mexican food, this is the place for you! Enjoy!

The BEST Mexican food in the city hands down! This place is the real deal. I have been to Mexico several times and this tastes just as good as my favorite sandwiches there. It’s small and really a carry out place (only a few seats) but it is worth the trip in. I love the Toreada (a deliciously spicy Torta). My friends love the tacos and burritos too. You can’t go wrong!

This is a completely traditional taqueria, with tortas. My wife and I love it. Honestly, the tortas are not my favorite, but the Tacos with fresh cilantro and radishes are sooooo good. Burritos are the best ones i have had in the midwest. They have cabesa, lingua, and tripa, as well as marinated beef. The only thing that is a problem is the wait. Call ahead of time and order. I can’t really blame people for being crazy about the food. It’s always hot and fresh. It’s a very small place, but its super clean. Don’t be put off by the size of the place. Its amazing!!!

Food’s still great. Definitely best tortas in town. They accept credit card now, though.

This place is a shack, but the smells and flavor coming out of this place is great. It’s predominantly a carry out type of place, but there are 4 stools inside to sit on.
I tried a fish sandwich and several different tacos. Everything was really good! The only drawback was that I couldn’t finish all of the sandwich because it is way bigger than a normal sized sandwich.

When people say, «it’s good in the hood.» I now know what that is. I was the only white dude there, but I’m certainly going to come back!

Best Mexican food in Indy. I’m not Kidding. I have been multiple times and have had many different items on the menu. Their tacos are really good and I have yet to be disappointed with any of the over stuffed Tortas I have had. There is no sitting and cash only. If you are into non-​gringo Mexican food, this is a must try.

Absolutely the BEST mexican food in Indianapolis, hands down. Fresh, well prepared. Great service! I had the tacos and my husband had the quesadillas both were a «10» was chatting with others while waiting for my food. There was about 5 other people waiting all of them said they come 3 times a week minimum. No seating inside, picnic tables outside or get it to go. I promise you it will be the best you ever had!!!

LOVE the food!!! It is always fresh! Great service and everytime I come the food tastes the same! I literally eat here at least once a week! I recommend everyone to try it you will not be disappointed at all!

A steady line of customers ordering at a counter — almost hard to believe the variety on their menu. I had a torta de asada– comes with mayo, cheese, avocado, lettuce, and a couple of different hot sauces. One of the best sandwiches… ever. It did take a while to prepare but it was worth the wait. Now, if they could just work on that customer service… even a smile from the counter chica would be nice but she is all business even with her semi-​stylish freakishly long fake eyelashes.

Love this place. I have started going here about a month ago and now… I will get a craving that only this place can help with.
The tortas are fresh tasting and full of flavor. Big fan of the steak. The cicina burrito was solid as well. I did go for the cubano once, though I thought it was pretty good, compared to the steak torta it got blown out of the water.
Grab your food and go to a place where you can let your taste buds sing — no seating here, but it is worth the pick up

That’s not a bad thing at all. You know those places usually have the best snacks.
There were some friendly people out front who chatted with me about the menu and the generous portions, so I had to check it out. The prices are average. One taco is around $ 2. I had one chicken taco, a beef taco and chicken nachos. Everything was so full of flavor. I love that they don’t slap all of that extra stuff on the tacos. A little cilantro and onions, that’s all ya need. :)
It’s a tiny little place. There are a few stools around, but not large enough to feel too comfortable eating there. I’ll admit that I ate a taco in the parking lot.
It was amazing.
If you have to travel far, I would suggest eating inside or in your car. I won’t judge. Parking lot snacks are the best snacks, sometimes.

Definitely great street tacos — especially for the price! Only gave 4 stars because you can’t eat there unless the weather is good enough to sit at the tables in the crazy parking lot (which we did, but it’s busy, lots of cars b/​c of all the shops). So, since we don’t live nearby it would be hard to get these often.
Between the two of us, we tried the fish tacos (awesome!), steak (awesome), chorizo (awesome & crispy) and pork (good, but after the other three wasn’t quite as flavorful, but still really good!). We ate up so fast we forgot to take a pic.
We will go again and definitely recommend!

I’ve been to many Mexican restaurants in Indy. After I’ve discovered this one I don’t bother going to the others. Excellent authentic food.

I’ve been here a few times and it never disappoints. the place is pretty much carry out only but there is a few stools in the tiny waiting area and outdoor seating too. The tacos are just like I had on the streets of the DF. the tortas are on par with the impeccable SuperTortsa in Speedway, and that’s saying alot.

This place is great. If your looking for true authentic Mexican street food this is the place. Originally from southern Ca and was missing my Mexican food and came to this little place and satisfied my Mexican food withdrawals. Very small place so I would recommend to order and eat elsewhere. Truly delicious.

GREAT Tortas and tacos! With all of the amazing taco/​torta options that you have in the Lafayette Square the food here is a stand out! However I wish someone in this area would start making some breakfast tacos! I hate having to drive all the way to The Tamale Place for breakfast tacos. Oh and last but not least this place is cash only but do yourself a favor and check them out.
