Not worth the prices. Poor service and the managers never tried to make things right when they messed up my order. Servers are friendly but they must be way understaffed. Will never go back.

Good food, the servers were very nice, but the kitchen was very slow. It’s a pretty standard steakhouse with an Italian flare. The steaks are a bit too high priced compared with the rest of the menu. It doesn’t seem to get a lot of business, but it’s still a decent place to eat.

We arrived to an empty parking lot, we should have taken this as a sign. A Tuesday night at 7pm may be slow, but we were the only diners in the place. The lighting over the table was so poor we could barely read the very limited menu. The food is expensive, with an a’ la carte 6oz filet priced at $ 30. That’s fine at Ruth’s Chris or St. Elmo’s, but this is neither. The salads were fine, and the bread ok but nothing really impressive. We were at the restaurant for over an hour with us being the only take to serve. The meals came out in steps, with the steak coming a full 5 minutes after the pasta dishes. The steak was cooked a bit past medium rare and my panko breaded chicken was dry and overcooked. The Alfredo with shrimp and with chicken were satisfactory. The bill came out with a 20% gratuity already added. They calculated the tip off the total with tax included! The pre-added tip not completely unexpected at an expensive meal, but paying 20% of the tax as well? We will not be returning.

What a let down. The food was bland, the service was terrible. But, there was only one waiter for 14 people so… The drinks are over priced.$ 12 for a Grey Goose and Cran. The menu is limited. Not much food to choose from. This is the wrong area for upscale dining. To many other options on Michigan Road /86st to choose from. I wouldnt recommend this place to Donald Trump. Well, maybe I would…

What kind of restaurant of any caliber, that has allegedly been open for 3 months plus and cannot produce a menu on Unilocal? Some insight as to the future of this establishment! Watch and see how long the doors stay open.

Really poor service… you will wait for 40 minutes as servers pass by you, look you in the face, and race past. So sad… Awesome live band tho…

After reading the past Unilocal reviews and seeing a post on a friend’s Facebook page I decided to suggest Virelis to my boyfriend for Valentine’s dinner. The menu seemed well rounded with several options at different price points. I was excited to try this place out. When we arrived(6:45 pm on Saturday) the place was pretty empty. There was a band setting up and a few of the wait staff were mulling about setting up for a party. I asked to be seated in the bar area so my boyfriend could catch some of the all star game LOL A waitress(who was pulling double duty as a bartender) came to my table promptly to take drink orders. She was very pleasant and a hard worker but one thing that threw me off was her appearance. The messy bun seemed a bit off putting for a place of this«fine dining» status(or trying to be.) The other staff were very formally dressed(tie, shirt, black pants) save one older gentlemen in a bedazzled Virelis t-shirt. Either way, she was fantastic even though they were severely understaffed and had her running around like crazy. Once I took a look at the menu, I was disappointed to see the extremely limited choices. I was told they simplified the menu(and jacked up prices according to one of the regulars) for the holiday. I get all that but for steak place to have NO seafood or pasta on the menu(shrimp cocktail, lobster, etc) was crazy. The only seafood option was Atlantic salmon. I really wanted pasta but went ahead with fried calamari as the app and Atlantic salmon with creamed spinach for the entrée. My date ordered the 14 oz steak with garlic mashed potatoes. The salmon was $ 32 the steak I believe $ 44 and the sides(a la carte) were about $ 7 a piece. The calamari was frozen. Pretty sure of this as the breading was falling off. It came with marinara and garlic aioli. The aioli was not very good and the marinara was pretty basic. When the entrees arrived I was looking forward to things improving. My salmon was fair but I think the portion size was lacking for the price. It was served on a bed of cold rice and my creamed spinach was nothing spectacular. My date on the other hand had a very well seasoned steak and his potatoes were pretty solid. Overall his food was a ton better than mine but I could tell it sat a little longer than it should have before making it to the table. Regardless of all my complaints I had a decent time thanks to my great dinner companion but I probably won’t be making a second appearance here.

Valentine’s dinner disappointment. I can’t say that it was the worst, because they are obviously trying, but it’s not quite the upscale description they want to be. My husband and I had been anxious to try this place after seeing the«opening in winter 2015» sign for a couple of months. Not quite sure what to expect, we booked reservations online, and received a confirmation email right away. Service: Pleased to have a valet on a cold snowy night. However, it went down hill when we walked in. Host surprised us when she asked for a cover fee before we were seated. Would have been better to have this included in our meal price, or at least notified in the reservation process. Wait staff seemed very inexperienced, as we were having to guide them through asking about the menu, when to clear things from the table, and when to refill drinks, but still friendly. Food: Food was the biggest let down, and for the prices, this is the one thing a restaurant needs to hit the mark on. Husband ordered tilapia with side of greenbeans, and I ordered panko crusted chicken with sundried tomato pesto risotto. Fish and chicken tasted like they were just frozen packs from costco next door. «Risotto» turned out to be the same sticky calrose rice served with my husband’s fish, just with a dollop of cheap tomato sauce; not creamy like risotto should be, and nothing resembling pesto or sundried tomato. Entertainment: Jazz headline only played all of 3 min, while we were there at the 7 o’clock dinner hour. We definitely won’t be back, at least not until we hear of improvements.

We really enjoyed our time here and had a great dinner! The ambience is very nice and the jazz music in the evening was a nice touch. The service was great. Though the food we received was delicious, they were out of the first two things I wanted to order. Even though this was the case, I ended up with my third choice and it was delicious! It has only been open for a month and is very promising yet was not busy yet. I hope more people go to experience this wonderful place!

Attended the preview night. Good food and great music! Upscale atmosphere. Plenty of parking and conscientious waitstaff. The cuisine: prime steaks and seafood. Open for dinner and Sunday brunch. Live music during dinner. There is a small dance floor if you want to express yourself. Definitely a place not to be missed. Grand opening is December 30, 2015.
