El Pollo Loco

I am a regular at this El Pollo Loco for the following reasons:
1) closely to my workplace.
2) easily accessible drive-​thru
3) not too busy with surrounding traffic
4) friendly staff and get my order right
I always order the same item – ranchero burrito. It always tastes the same, and they never fail to disappoint me. The service is relatively quick, and the drive thru isn’t a tight squeeze, even for my 4Runner. I’ve never dined in so I can’t comment on that.
I have no complaints, or disappointments from this location.
This location is far better than the one in El Segundo, in my opinion.
Overall grade: A

The slowest one around… in drive thru as I type… been sitting for 20 minutes… sitting…sad…

Terrible service. People were in line and the cashier took one order then ran to the back i was next and it took awhile for somebdy to take my order manager had to yell at an employee to take my order… the manager was rude to customers and employees… then i paid for extra cheese and got no cheese instead smh definitly recommend the el pollo loco on imperial food taste better and the service is better and they actually get your order right

Wow… Fast Food at El Pollo Loco has never been so disappointing. We usually go to the one on Century but since this one was on the way home we settled for this one.
All we ordered was a 2 piece chicken leg kids meal w Mac n Cheese and a lemonade no ice and the 2 Shrimp and Chicken Enchilada combo with a side of beans and rice.
We ended up with the kids meal right but the drink was just a cup of water and the 2 shrimp and chicken enchiladas ended up being 2 chicken enchiladas and we didn’t even get the side of rice and beans.
But seriously, how did you end up filling the cup half way with water?!
I mean I know we should of checked our order and or drink before driving off but the lady clearly repeated our order back and so we trusted her.
Lessened learned always check your order before driving off. SMH

One of the dirtiest slowest locations I seen, the line is like 8 people, only 2 people actually working well if you can call that working no smile dragging their feet, no ice in the ice machine had ton wait 5 minutes for it, dining room super dirty no one cleaning, food was cold and old

Not the best service or chicken, compared to other locations of El Pollo Loco but at least the skin is as crispy as it can get without a open fire grill. Basically the chicken will never be good enough without that kind of grill! At least they gave me all what I needed in a timely matter and the food was good. The horchata was watery. I think the beverage wasn’t cold enough so it melted the ice too fast.

I stopped going here because of the very very poor service. They will find a way to mess up your order every single time. The people that work there are the most incompetent people ever. They gave me salsa instead of dressing for my salad.

This is by far the most unorganized location, expect to spend at least 15 mins in the drive thru. This is unexceptionable especially during lunch hours. Ask for a discount if this happens and thy will honor it.

This place is great friendly staff but the only thing that grossed me out was the lady with the facial hair cmon your a girl shave that off ewwww

We still eat it, but I’m not sure why. These people are so slow, unorganized, and insanely illiterate. No trip here is even satisfactory, they mess up every order.

This place is okay. It reminds me of a west coast edition of our local favorite, pollo tropical. The restroom here is pretty gross; smelled like sewage was backing up. Food was not bad but nothing memorable by any means.

Gross if your looking to buy old dry reheated chicken this is the place food was old and disgusting and let’s not forget the Customer service two thumbs down.

I can’t believe I came in to get a simple bowl of soup and some of what they are famous for CHICKEN. Can you believe they are out of chicken & soup. How does that work?

Everything was perfect… looking at the reviews I guess I got lucky. Although to be honest I have gone to th his location before but the parking was small and the place was packed so that time I went to my normal one further down Manchester when it turns into firestone

OMG. went through drive thru. orders BRC burrito.. Requested NO CHEESE due to allergies. drove to Window to pay. verified my order with NO CHEESE.. The woman working drive thru said there was no cheese. she verified it with thes person who prepared my BRC. great… they both verified and My receipt says no cheese.
Took 2 bites of my burrito to find it was loaded with cheese. smh.
Made a u turn.. Talked to the manager and explained what happened. Manager replaced BRC.
Now i have to rush home to take my allergy medication before my tongue swells.
It’s so important for people to follow simple instructions.. I told them no cheese because i have severe allergies.
I will not return to this location. Never

Typical Pollo Loco. Usually get the grilled chicken salad, its filling when Im in a hurry.

I love El Pollo Loco’s crunchy chicken taco but this one over cooks the chicken & that’s not my cup of tea. I’ve also had their «Loco Salad» which is just some greens with cilantro dressing + tortilla chips (instead of croutons), that’s not so bad. Drive Thru can get packed but ehh. I’ve had better lol.
I’ll still come back just because it’s next to my work but I’m just gonna stick with my leg and thigh.

Boo-​hoo to this franchise for not accepting my «punch» card for a discount that I got at another franchise. Oh well, I’ve been coming here because the lady’s dad likes the chicken here. He’s helping us work on our house so it’s the least I can do — buying dinner. The man loves his chicken. Anyways, I always go through drive-​thru and the service is pretty fast.
Here’s what we usually end up getting:
* BRC Burrito — Not bad for $ 1, just add in the salsa, the guacamole salsa, onions & cilantro, and add in the chicken from your $ 1 flame grilled chicken and you got yourself a $ 2 chicken burrito with the works!
* Flame Grilled Chicken Drumstick ($ 1) — Pretty Tasty Stuff!
* Loco Salad with Cilantro Dressing ($ 1) — Surprisingly Awesome!!!
* Chicken Taco Al Carbon ($ 1) — Can be filling… that’s a good thing!
* 2 Piece Meal with Leg & Thigh, Flour Tortillas, BBQ Black Beans & Spanish Rice ($ 4.99 or $ 5.99, I forgot) — This is what the lady’s dad orders all the time and obviously it tastes that good to him because he always orders the same thing.
* 2 Churros ($ 1) — gotta love it! Dessert!
SO yeah, the food isn’t bad for something pretty cheap for 3 people costing us less than $ 15 during dinner time. This particular EPL is open 24 hours too drive-​thru. I just wish they accepted my discount card. Oh well, it’s cheap regardless and not FRIED! Trying to avoid the fast food fried food if at all possible… ;)

As far as fast food chains go, El pollo Loco is easily my favorite. Their chicken is fresh and tasty and their salsa bar is better than you’d expect. About as healthy and yummy as you can get for the price, quickly.
Well, all of that is true… for every OTHER El Pollo Loco. To say that this EPL sucks is an understatement. The chicken is always overcooked, the salsa selection is very spare, and the salsas they do have are mushy and seem as though they’ve been sitting around overnight. That would be bad enough for me right there, but the service also sucks. Every time I’ve used the drive-​thru they have screwed up my order, while taking an excruciatingly long time to do so. Yep, they’re real geniuses here.
Why, you may ask, does he keep going here? Good question. Never again. I have learned my lesson several times over… and over.
