Super fresh and wonderfully seasoned seafood. I come when I can afford it on my waist line… but none the less great customer service(mom and pop operation) always fast. They never have a problem with substitutions like some spots. Indecisive? First time? Basa aka swai medium crispy is my fav. But I always liked the catfish steakorange roughy and of course the $ 5.0020 piece shrimp. Never disappointed here give it a spin if your local definitely worth it

La Brea seafood is so delicious! Their prices are reasonable and they give you a good amount of food. The fish tastes like fish and the shrimp tastes like shrimp so you can tell that they’re not fried together. I usually order the catfish or red snapper with hush puppies and I’m never disappointed. This is my neighborhood seafood spot that I would recommend to anyone.

Best shrimp in the world. Very fast cooking and the fries are so scrumptious. The fish is ok a little to salty for my blood but very tasty as well.

So I thought I should start writing reviews on the places that I go. I use to live in the neighborhood and I would frequent this place often. What I like about there fish fry is that it’s not too heavily season. Also you can tell how to fry it for you and it comes out just how you want it. The people are friendly that works there and the wait is not long. I like that I can see what how they prepare the food. I will definitely keep coming back. The amount of food is fair for the price. I’m giving them four stars just because the fries seem too small for some of the order size.

I have been here several times. 75% of the time the food is great. I usually get the shrimp or the filet of sole. Food is pretty fresh most of the time but sometimes the food is soggy and over seasoned. Price is reasonable. They do short you on the tarter and hot sauce.

The fish is well seasoned & not w/salt. They have the best tarter sauce & some other tasty sauce that’s a tiny bit spicy & has pepper in it. They sell onion rings! They were good too. Just go check it out.

The southern style seasoning, hot sauces, and tartar sauces to start off. Without using any sauces, the seasoning does the job of complimenting the fish of your choice. The hot sauces are so good that I always empty a serving of each of the two. The tartar sauce doesn’t overpower any of the flavors. As for the main entrees, the fish is fresh! My favorite is the Orange Ruffie. Oh and I amost forgot to mention that there are scallops and frog legs which are bomb! Theres a variety of side dishes to everyones liking such as fries, hush puppies, and coleslaw to name a few. If I’m in the area, I’d come here for a quick bite. It’s a small family owned store and I’ve always been welcomed with a smile.

I tried this place twice. The first time, the fish was decent. I decided to give them another try and this time sealed the deal. I WILLNOTBEBACK. Even if the side dishes aren’t good, I at least expect the food to be fresh. The fish was just ok, not as good as when I had it the first time. The fries were soggy and the bread was so stale, it was stuck together and dry enough to start a fire. I was very disappointed because I live around the corner and was hoping this could be my go to fish place. I will drive the extra miles to Big Fish on Crenshaw. La Brea Seafood should be ashamed of themselves for serving sub par fish and stale sides. I called and talked to a manager who didn’t understand me and didn’t speak English well enough to communicate. I will never go back again.

I’ve lived in the area for quite some time but have only visited La Brea Seafood a handful of times. Not because the food isn’t good, but because it’s tucked away in a little shopping center and I often forget about it when I have a seafood craving and end up going to Bayou Grille instead. The food here is decent; it’s not something to write home about, but it isn’t terrible eiter. A jar of deep fried oysters and shrimp is what I usually order; accompanied by some hush puppised, fries, cole slaw and bread all for under $ 10 is a good deal. The cooks are nice and friendly often times making small talk, which is nice.

Small, cozy seafood shop and restaurant. I stumbled into this place, when I was randomly searching for food, when I randomly ended up in Inglewood. There is a seafood display on the front, where you order fresh fish by the pound. There are also cooked food with lunch specials and dinner specials on the menu board. I believe the food is Southern style — fish and chips, hush puppies, fries, hot sauce, collard greens… a.k.a hot greasy food. Food is cheap. Get a plate of fried fish(of your choice), fries, and a hush puppy for 5 bucks. 7 bucks if you add 8 pieces of shrimp. The workers there are nice and chat to everyone, referring to them as «my friend». I can tell that the people that dine here are regulars that come often.
