Unilocal 100 Challenge 2016 — Review 23 of 100… DISCLAIMER: While Rally’s food is okay, I fell in like with them for their tacos. This review pertains only to the tacos since that is all I have ordered from this location since my fave /closest to home location in Lomita closed a few years ago… This is probably one of the oldest Rally’s to which I have ever been exposed. I do not recall this building ever not being on the corner of Manchester and Crenshaw, though I believe this may have been another fast food joint before it became Rally’s. There is ample parking available here as this is located in the same shopping area as a stand alone BigLots that used to be a Pic n Save(remember that store?!?), if my memory serves me correctly. I would not, however, get out of my car here if I weren’t visiting BigLots because: — there are two drive thrus so why am I getting out of my car?, — if the drive thrus AND parking lot were crowded, these yummy tacos are not good enough for me to wait in too terribly much of a line, and, — if it’s at night, and the drive thrus AND parking lot were crowded, I may encounter a crowd I’d prefer not to. And I’m not scary. This double drive thru(are all Rally’s double drive thrus? Is that one of its«things?») serves the same unhealthy but yummy version of tacos I would imagine all do. I’ve only visited a total of six in my life, but I know there are more, and I’ve never tried tacos at Checkers or know if its«relative» sells them. Anyway, if you’re familiar with this chain, you know these are NOT by ANY stretch of the imagination authentic Mexican tacos… these are more like the homemade beef(not turkey) tacos I’ve experienced at primarily chocolate folk inspired establishments and homes. I can’t remember the exact price of these inexpensive delights that come with ground beef, lettuce, and shredded yellow cheese, but they are around the 2 for $ 3⁄3.50 range normally. I order mine with no lettuce, extra cheese, add onion(WHAT?!?), so I pay more for the cheese but it’s not much. Beware — in my experience, a LOT of red onion is normally added so don’t order these if you plan to kiss someone unless you both order them, I guess… ANY time I have visited this particular Rally’s regardless of the day or time, I receive no customer service at all(just annoyed sounding and looking folks) AND my tacos are cold. How are my tacos ALWAYS cold? Especially when you read my review and compare this taco’s picture to that of the one that accompanies my review for the Gardena location…

This place often becomes my biweekly pit stop if I’m starving after getting my hair done across the street. I only eat the fish sandwich, which is always cooked hot and crispy. I like the crispy coated fries as well. Both are super greasy and can stand to be drained. I have yet to have bad drive-through customer service so kudos to them.

I was there a while ago and the girl taking my order I think her name was Michelle was so rude to me. I did not like her customer service at all.

Really good fast food with a lot of great food on the menu. I a fan of the big buford and fries. They have a distinctive taste like know other fast food burger or french fries. I want to try there new stuff as well. I notice a fish and chip burger. Come with a fish fillet and fries lettuce and tomato in a bun. Ummm!0!

I used to go to this place on the East coast. They are always famous for awesome burgers, fries and hot dogs. This particular location has some awesome eats. The meat is fresh and the fries hardly even taste like they were previously frozen. The seasoning on the fries is tasty. They seem to have their own profile of season salt which is much different from the other leading brands that are available commercially. They seem to use fresh ingredients and leave a person with the feeling that they really go their moneys worth. I highly recommend this location since the other locations are hit and miss. This on seems to be spot on. I would like to see them come up with a proprietary sauce or something for the fries and the chicken tenders. That alone would set them apart from any other burger place.

You can never go wrong with their french fries. These fries make everything seem right in the world! They recently added mozzarella sticks and funnel cake to their menu. Clearly this is where I go when I want to be a fatty :)

I come to this Rally’s late nights after being out for a night of partying and every time I come here the food never disappoints. I usually get the number one or six. The fries are the best fast food fries ever(next to Wendy’s). If you ever need a late night place to eat at and your on Manchester, I’d recommend this spot.

I love this place but absolutely hate the loitering homeless that beg for your money at the window. But that doesn’t happen when you drive through. Only when you walk up to order. I love their food and its always hot and fresh. Rally’s is so overrated and have been for a long time. They are top 3 fast food for me. I love their loaded fries and some of their burgers. Rally’s never disappoints!!! Not this one at least. This is the only one I go to because I know how good it is. 2 apple pies for $ 1 also! They are delicious! I haven’t been in a while and I desperately need to go a couple of times before the year is over. Rally’s has the best French fries of all fast food joints!

I wouldn’t come there after sun set. Chance of being rubbed or kidnapped is to high. Place is dirty and service is slow.

I usually come here when I’m riding my bike through the city. I don’t have a problem with this store as I usuall just order a chicken sandwich combo. the fries are(as always) superior to almost all other fast food fries. Soda is soda… they give refills if you ask nicely. The spicy chicken sandwich is decent. I mean, this is Rally’s so I’m not going to judge it against The Counter or anything. As a quick bite you can’t go too wrong here, but obviously there are much better choices out there-even in this area-if you wanted fine dining.

This Rally’s sucks… The people who work here don’t know what they are doing… I got a burnt apple pie which pissed me off… I won’t be dining here anymore… I wished they kept the KFC across the street open cause they were much better than Rally’s…Hire some different people with people skills to work here…

RUN! If you can manage to avoid the gun shots this is painfully mediocre Rallys. I always find myself craving something from here since its conveniently close to my house, but then I ALWAYSREGRETIT. This location is open 24⁄7 so if your drunk and looking for trash food then come here.

Delicious! There aren’t many Rally’s around, but it’s worth seeking it out. It’s not the typical burger joint. It’s a little expensive, but not bad. I’d also probably only order during the day. It’s sort of a sketchy neighborhood.

I never knew there was a Rally’s in Southern California. I always thought it was a mid west chain, being that I first ate at a Rally’s in St Louis. So I was surprised to find this Rally’s, being that I’m from Northern California and we have no Rally’s. The place is typical fast food hamburger fair, however I love the seasoned fries; They taste just like I remember them.

I got off the plane in LAX and I was starving. I had no time to check Unilocal… I needed food fast. So, I found myself at Rally’s… I picked it because it’s a place I had never been before and it looked relatively cheap and fast. The food was decent fast food… nothing I would go out of my way for. Getting off the plane from Austin I was ready for 5 days without my regular Dr. Pepper fix… but Rally’s came through with Mr. Pibb. He doesn’t have a medical degree, but he gets the job done.
