B-52s is a great place to grab a burger and a beverage. They even have a gluten free menu. They try very hard to accommodate those who have food allergies or intolerances and the food is pretty tasty! I’m not sure what types of gluten free buns they use, but they are great! They also have a decent selection of wines and cider(since I can’t do beer, that’s usually what I get). They also have different things going on in the evenings which makes it fun!

I’ve been to other slider trucks and was expecting more selection. They had 4 or 5 types to choose from. Nevertheless, I ordered a pepper and a standard slider along with a side of corn fritters. The sliders were ok, nothing special. The pattties were cooked a medium well, but the cheese wasnt melted. The cold(not lukewarm) fries did them no justice. The corn fritters were the sole bright spot of this endeavor. It wasn’t horrible, but if you are going to call yourself the slider squad you should up your game.

Best burgers around. The B52 is a great spicy burger and this is one of the places that you can actually ask for it done medium and get it that way. Service is always top notch!

I do NOT recommend this food truck. Awful service, insane wait(each burger was cooked separate to order, maybe 5 minutes per person)… they don’t know how to run a food truck. To offer a service from 11am to 2pm, you have to have better planning than running out of gas and food by 12:45pm. Plus, they were catering to a business during business lunch hours, where people typically get a 30 minute to hour break only. The wait alone was an hour, only to get to the front of the line and be told they were out of food. When I asked if they had enough burgers for 20 more people because I had an appointment to make after waiting for 50 minutes, I was rudely shooed away, while the guy said«I have no idea, not my problem.» Luckily I decided to walk away, because I watched the line from the window which didn’t move much after I left and noticed they waited until the last burger was served to tell the 30+ others in line that they were out of luck(they had also been waiting for an hour). You should know exactly how many burgers you have left, warn people when you are 30 burgers away from being done and plan better when you have a specific time period that you are offering the burgers and the amount of people you need to serve. What happened to the people who went out at 1pm to get their lunch to find no truck? Simply put… horrible service and horrible planning. I left hungry and annoyed. I can’t even tell you if the food is good, but let me tell you no amount of deliciousness can save this business after this experience. They don’t even deserve one star. Tips for Slider Squad: Plan ahead better and have enough food. Make sure you warn people who are waiting that they will never get a burger, don’t wait til they reach the window. Cook more than one burger at a time(maybe ten on the grill at a time?). It would also be awesome if you could be decent and offer an apology or coupon for a free burger… it would help reduce the frustration. I know catering to a lot of hungry people isn’t easy… but it’s your chosen profession, so act like you love it!

With a name like Slider Squad you shouldn’t really be expecting any surprises from this newish food truck — Americana comfort food a la burgers and fries. And for what they are, they’re pretty good. They offer an assortment of sliders — the omnipresent cheese slider and a rotation of others including a veggie, pesto and a reuben slider, among others. Having tried the standard and the pesto sliders, they’re pretty much the prototypical flattop burger that this country gobbles up — ¼ lb. patties(seriously, these are what we call sliders these days?) of seasoned meat on a griddled bun that won’t do your arteries any favors, but will taste pretty good. They’re fries are thick cut, lightly seasoned and served piping hot. Admittedly, a greasy burger and fries aren’t regular staples in my diet and I’ll likely head elsewhere on the occasion that they are, but if you’re looking for a burger and fries on the street B-52 should suit that craving.

The guys were friendly, the seasoned fries were plump and tasty, and the veggie burger was moist and tasty. Next I’ll try the hush puppies. Great experience all around! Come back to Rice Park, guys!

Food trucks are hit and miss for me… not all food concepts lend themselves to being prepared in a truck, but thankfully a killer slider does. I was in Mears Park looking for some quick grub and there was the B-52 truck. It was just after 12 and no customers? I walked up tot he truck to make sure it’s open and the friendly staff took my order for the 2 slider special, 5 – 10 mins later I am holding 2 burgers and nice portion of fries. Me and my buddy find a nice bench and the chowing proceeds. First, these bombs are not sliders, I could not finish both because they are big. My burger was fresh tasting, with a hint of some seasoning and a really delicious bun. It kind of reminds me of Five Guys, but much better IMO. The kicker was the fries could be some of the best in the Twin Cities, they were cooked and seasoned perfect. Yes, it was beautiful day in the park, but those fries were delicious it was not just because I was all euphoric in the park. If you get a chance try them. I’d give them 5 stars, but I want them to have room for improvement :)
