We were vacationing with friends who used to live in this area 30 years ago. Apparently this Cameron’s place ahs been around in a different location or two FOREVER. We naturally hit this place for the GREAT beer selections of many of the craft beers we had tried in and around the area. We were looking for a particular beer we’d had at a restaurant and couldn’t exactly remember the name. The manager tried to help us and when he couldn’t find what we were looking for he called the restaurant to ask for the beers they had on tap. OLDFASHIONED service like this is what keeps people coming back and we will make sure to visit again. Now I’m wishing I had filled the back of our SUV with Lost Trout brown ale and Surly Furious.

We love Cameron’s! And while their new home is wonderful we never would have found them without their prior moves. We discovered them when they moved to their temporary spot on Cahill Ave., while their new digs were in the works. And coming from a family that has run a few businesses, the family-run vibe of Cameron’s is a great feeling. They take great care in greeting everyone that comes in and offering(sincere) help without being pushy or overbearing. We have since followed them to their new home and continue to receive the same treatment that we’ve always experienced from them. And we go out of our way to patronize Cameron’s… passing numerous«big box» chain stores along the way. Their prices and service cannot be beat. And since we’ve had to move out of state, we really miss everything that is Cameron’s… prices, selection, value and care. But we stop by every time we’re in town. That should tell you something :)

Great new location. Love the beer cave. They were very helpful with ordering the beer and wine for our wedding. They estimated our booze needs perfectly! We are grateful for their help in making our wedding a smashing success!

Service and cheap prices was a staple at Cameron’s. The vibe from the staff is very family oriented. I was stoked to have the option of getting a seasonal Leinie’s keg at a fair price. It was loaded into my car promptly. The employee even buckled it in. The new location, on Cahill Ave in the old Snyder’s buidling, is very bright and open(an improvement from the old locale). There’s much more walking space and it looks nice.

Cameron Warehouse Liquor is now located on Cahill Ave — and even though they are not happy that they were forced to move from their old location on Concord(can you say eminent domain?) to this site on Cahill — I have to say I would never stop in at the old place. Located close to several bars and a strip club — the place just ooged me out when I drove by. The one and only time I went to their old location with my hubby I was happy I was not there alone and pretty much wrote them off my list of places to go. So when I saw that they were open in the old Snyder’s Building off Cahill here in Inver Grove Heights I decided to take a look. They happened to have a wine sale going on when I drove up so I was able to get several bottles of my favorite wines at 20% off.(NICE!) The selection of wine was quite good and I felt my mental checklist adjust itself to re-include Cameron’s as a go-to spot for purchasing wine and liquor. I found an article in the Pioneer Press that said the new location will be temporary — since this spot is within 500 feet of a school they can’t stay here past August 2011. Since the new spot they are looking to build is pretty much across the street from their old location(A spot they were in for over 100 years by the way.) I am not sure if I will follow them back down to the river. But while they are«up on the Hill» here near Cahill I will definitely be stopping in for my Wine needs.
