Came here once and all I have to say is that I will never be back. I gave the bartender a $ 20 bill for 2 beers and waited for my change. It was a busy night, and I watched as he filled drink orders for other customers. I waited a bit longer, then finally caught his attention and asked for my change– $ 14. He stared at me dumbfounded and said that I gave him exact change for the beers. I said no, I gave you a $ 20, you owe me $ 14. He proceeded to call me a «typical drunk female» and said I need to keep better track of my money and«learn to count». I asked to speak to the manager, who blithely told me to reconsider going out to a bar if I can’t afford it. Realizing that I wasn’t going to get anywhere with the less than competent staff and management, I stormed out of the bar. But wait! What’s a trip to a grimy bar without getting groped by the security guard on my way out? Somehow I have a hard time believing that you«accidentally» grabbed me as I walked out.

Where do you begin? $ 4.50 for a domestic tallboy can of beer… broken glass… shit on the walls… judgmental, rude, and even unfriendly bar tenders… extremely scary things going on upstairs for their«free bass night» including paramedics coming in for a passed out girl who was roofied. The upstairs is dirty and disgusting with broken glass everywhere… the entire bar in general seems like a hot bed for scamming and sexual assault. The beer cart girls were nice enough, trying a bit too hard to push the crap beer, really the only friendly staff though… but charging a $ 4 markup on tallboys is a complete scam and speaks loud enough of the bar itself. Last Saturday night caused me to write this review, but even on the weeknights I have been I have not had good experiences. The bartenders are very unfriendly and won’t hold conversation with anyone… I watched a couple other people have one beer and leave after being judged and even ignored by the bartenders before I did the same… I recommend everyone stay away from this seedy bar

First concert I went to there someone working grabbed my girlfriends ass as we were leaving. The concert we went to a few months later their doorman was hitting on my girl, so I had a few calm words with him. After I spoke my mind, him and his buddy(I’m not that large of a man) picked me up and threw me onto the sidewalk outside of the bar, without asking me to leave first, and claimed I was«too drunk» to come back in. I had maybe 4 beers over the course of 3 hours. It’s a place full of womenizers. Anyone I know is avoiding this dump at all costs regardless of the shows they have booked. Save your dignity and go to gabes down the block. The blue moose is for people who carry date rape pills and ugly dudes looking to rub against your girl. Disgusting. On top of that I had to argue with a drunk bartender over whether or not I gave him a $ 50 or a $ 20. He seriously tried to swindle me out of $ 30. That’s about as bottom of the barrel as it gets.

This review is for karaōke on Thursday nights. The karaōke is upstairs and there’s no cover. The upstairs room has a stage at the back. Years ago when I was in a band, we played here. It is a trip to be back on that little stage. The crowd is on the younger side, mostly college-age students. There are consistently lots of people so if you want to sing before midnight, get there before 10pm. The wait can be long. The crowd changes from polite to rowdy around 11pm. Some pretty decent singers come out to sing here. The music is all over the place — from hip-hop to country. Lots of guys do goofy songs. The bartenders are very good. They see you and serve you in the order you appear, just be patient. Waving your money in front of them only annoys them and doesn’t get you your drinks any faster.

You have to experience the Boot! This place is neat before the bar rush. Music is too loud at times downstairs.

I liked this place better when it was the Q Bar. It’s like they don’t know what they want to be… A bar or a club? Pick one! I had 3 different bartenders try to rip me off too… I had 3 Blue Moon’s and when they told me how much the drink was, they shorted me a dollar each time they gave me change back. I know its just a buck but wtf? I should have asked for the money they shorted me each time but whatever, too much of a hassle. Wont be visiting again. You have all been warned!

Went there to watch a football game(with several friends who were drinking) Ordered a glass of water and was told«we aren’t serving ice water today, but you can buy a bottle for $ 2. Wow! Will NEVER go back. Then my friend had a chipped beer stein, and shards of glass were ending up in her beer. When approaching the bar staff, they tried to simply pour the beer into a new glass. My friend explained there was glass IN the beer… they were«nice enough» to pour us a new domestic beer, when she was drinking a craft beer. Enough said.

I gave this place one star specifically because they charge you for water. Pretty lame. Water should always be free in a venue that sells alcohol. Their temperature control during shows is scary. It is usually 90+ degrees. Unhealthy and unsafe. I have seen people pass out from heat at shows. they do have some good music on occassion

Good venue for music. Remodeled from the old«Q Bar» then«The Industry» now«The Blue Moose Tap House» Downstairs is decent space and keg bar stools and large array of beers on tap. Decent prices. The main large stage is downstairs as well in the back. Plenty of room for big shows. Upstairs is «The Blue Room», another smaller bar, plenty of seating and a smaller stage with decent lighting and sound. Sometimes on you’ll run into the«Blue Moose» guy in a hot-arse costume wondering around downtown IC promoting the live music that evening. On hot days, I hope the Moose gets to go back to the watering hole to replenish.

Awesome place to see a show. Perfect venue size. Drink prices aren’t bad.
