We visited for a late weekday lunch. The décor and atmosphere is great. Staff was very friendly. The ale, of course, was great. The food on the other hand was just mediocre. My husband had the trio of shepard’s pies and he said they were just okay. I had the patty melt. From the description on the menu, I knew it wasn’t really a patty melt, but it sounded good. My medium burger showed up well done and rather dry. The fries were good, but ordinary. They should change the name as a patty melt has sautéed onions, cheese and is grilled on rye bread. The menu is limited, which is fine, but if it is, make the food is prepared really well. We will certainly go back for beers and will probably try some other items. They also need to rethink their prices. Our meals and two ales cost nearly $ 50.

Pros — nice place inside, fantastic beers and ales… of course it’s Ipswich Ale! Cons — Food is brutal, like real bad. I had pulled pork and it was like shredded rubber tires. Service could have been better as well.

Great place, can’t wait to go back! I have been about 5 times already. This is so different from anything else around and is a welcome edition to Ipswich. The décor is extremely creative, the staff welcoming and knowledgeable. My favorites are the patty melt, and LGBT, and the thanksgiving egg rolls are a must try. I was so pleased to see they added a pilsner which will be my go to beer. Totally worth the short walk if you don’t happen to get a close parking space.

So I have been eating all over the north shore for a while and this place was a nice change. It has an amazing new age pub/restaurant feel and great vibes all around. Plenty of different Ipswich Ale’s for 21+ to try along with a home brewed soda for the younger generation. The food is also very good. I tried the chicken and potatoes and loved it. The big hint is to try the THANKSGIVINGEGGROLLS totally unreal! I would recommend this fine place to anyone honestly kids or adults! Give this spot a shot!

Great venue, food and beer! We’ll be back! It’s in an old factory, where they originally made the first clam strips(which were sold to Howard Johnston’s!).

I really hoping the Brewer’s Table can work out these«kinks» found in the restaurant. There is a large local Ipswich Ale fan base that want to be regulars to the brewery. The wait staff are beautiful people. They are all nice, warm and welcoming. The owners have done an excellent job in hiring! The atmosphere and ambiance is stunning! The wrap around windows to the production like was a brilliant idea, and my children loved waving to the bottling crew working diligently on the other side of the windows. I’m hoping they can add a few more affordable menu items for the weekly bar goers(rather than the out of town fine diners or tourist). I’d like to come here after work, but I don’t want to burn a hole in my pocket every time. I also hope they expand their clientele to the whole family. KIDS. Families are coming to the brewery for beer and soda tours. The biggest turn off to my visit was the lack of booster seats, high chairs, or kids menu items for my children. My toddler had to have his ice cream and French fries in his stroller. I wish the two scoops of ice cream wasn’t served in a hot mug right out of the dishwasher. They melted quick. I wish the Ipswich Ale soda was priced at the lower affordable value as it is down the street at Rite-Aid. All and all I look forward to heading back once the wrinkles are ironed out later this season. The place has only been open for a few months. I account the difficulties to growing pains and look forward to the future of this establishment!

After many years of waiting for a brewery bar to be approved, fans of Ipswich Ale are finally rewarded with a pub dedicated to presenting Ipswich Ale’s best. And, may I tell you, it was worth the wait. I hope you’re thirsty for beer, because that’s ALL that you are going to find at the Brewer’s Table bar. Don’t think you’re a beer person? I guarantee there’s a variety on tap that will make you wonder why you didn’t like beer in the first place. All nine-odd beer offerings are Ipswich Ale varieties that you may or may have not heard of before. If you’re not sure where to start, pick out a flight and figure out where your tastes stand. If you know what you want and plan on ordering taps, don’t fret if you’re running low on cash. Each tap is $ 5. YES…$ 5!!! There’s a food option on the menu for even the pickiest of eaters in your party. Although some of the menu items are moderate in price, they sure don’t skimp out on presentation. No expenses were spared in creating this place. Although the Brewer’s Table is inside a renovated mill factory, there’s a definite fine restaurant feel to the place as you are sitting and enjoying your beer. Aesthetics such as the truck bed bar tap make the place stand apart from any other brewery bar. Lots of wide angle side windows give a great view into what’s going on down inside the brewery itself. The Brewer’s Table can get extremely flooded during busy hours, but the committed waitstaff crew is skilled in controlling the urban sprawl and getting you to a table as quickly as possible. Friendly bar staff are there to serve you in a relatively timely manner. It’s an overall great atmosphere, but be warned that the room acoustics are poor and it can get LOUD during busy hours! So…What are you waiting for?! If you love Ipswich Ale, the Brewer’s Table is a must for you to explore. And, if you don’t, you just might find out how great Ipswich Ale can be if you check out the Brewer’s Table.

Very poor service, ok but sloppily prepared food. We were there on a slow Sunday night but the kitchen was in the weeds and overwhelmed. They couldn’t manage to slice up a baguette, toast it for 30 secs and send it to us as should have been included with a messy, melted cheese appetizer. When I requested a certain beer in a smaller than 12 ounce glass they said fine, but it would be the same price. Now THAT’S customer service. Basically, they think they’re good but they’re not. Not efficient, consistent or good with the cooking and preparation. Rob Martin should have waited another five years.

I’ve been to the Brewers Table a few times. It is a new tasting pub and constantly improving. I really like it. I’ve notice a number of poor reviews due to miss expectations. This is a tasting pub inside a brewery with pretty darn good food service too. Its not Olive Garden catering 80 entrees and a kiddy menu. Its also not a sports pub; there isn’t a TV in the joint. Its a place to try some great, absolutely fresh beer, some tasty food, and good conversation with friends. If you don’t like beer, and want wine, you’re out of luck… but the root beer is the best! A great place to meet up for a beer with some friends, but not the right place to take granny and all the offspring for her birthday.

The resturant itself is beautiful. The lighting, wood work and windows into the full functioning brewery set a very plesent atmosphere. The beer menu is nice, plenty of in house options as well as several flavors of soda made by the brewery. I ordered mussels for an appetizer, the sauce they were in was very good but they only gave a small portion. The mussels were not allowed to filter properly so they were full of sand… not plesent. Also they had a very«oceany» smell to them which usually means they aren’t that fresh. For the meal I had the only burger on the menu, pretty standard. My wife had the«LGBT» sandwich which she said was quiet good, plenty of lobster meat in it. My daughter had the cheese pizza which was pretty good according to her(3 years old). The pizza was perfect size for one adult.

Great ambiance but unfortunately the food wasn’t good and service was very slow, even for a very early dinner on a Sat. night. My husband ordered a burger which was mediocre, and a bit overpriced. My pulled pork sandwich was dry and tasteless — seemed to lack any sauce. We love the beer, though! And warning — no highchairs or booster seats for small children. When a friend inquired, they were told that’s not their clientele. So we don’t exactly feel welcome back after hearing that.

I was recently invited to spend an evening with some girlfriends at this fine establishment. We were a large group so we were sat at a large table adjacent to the bar area. It reminded me of the tables that are used in the German beer houses in Munich, which I visited many moons ago. It gives one a sense of belonging — that we are all there to have a good time. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. There are several windows which allow the customers to view the brewing process inside the brewery. This can be fun to watch while you are enjoying good food and beer. The décor is eclectic and charming. My favorite is the beer tap behind the bar which resembles an «old school» beer truck. So awesome! The menu has a wide range to select from. There is something for everyone. I would say it is pub food but with a twist. You won’t find your typical pub fare here. Instead they have Thanksgiving egg rolls(to die for), seared scallops over parsnip purée, pot roast poutine, meatball pomodoro and so much more! I tried the LGBC(lobster, gouda, bacon club) which was really yummy! We also shared several of the appetizers and all were scrumptious! The beer menu also has a wide range to select from. Even if you are not a beer enthusiast you will be sure to find a flavor that suits your palate. If you are unsure of which flavor of beer to try, they offer two different flights of beers that allow you to taste several flavors. They come in these really cool beer trees with mini glasses to drink from. So fun! If you are not indulging in alcohol then there is plenty of non-alcoholic beverages to choose from including several Ipswich Ale soda pop flavors. I had a great time and can’t wait to go back!

One of my favorite events of the year is Ipswich ale harvest fest, so I was so excited to check out their new place! Really fun atmosphere, great rustic décor. 11 beers on tap, reasonably priced at $ 5. while delicious, the poutine was too small a portion for the price. Entrée, i luv the patty melt! I wanted to try one of the tempting pretzel pudding desserts but decided to wait for our next visit… will definitely be back.

OMG… Love…Love…Love…the new brewery!!! We had our girls night out last night. We started with a couple of beer flights to try out the Ipswich brews. starters we had turkey dinner spring rolls, meatball so tastie and full of flavor. For dinner I had the mustard salmon OMG it was amazing, it was my first time having salmon too. Everything was delicious! I can’t wait to go back and try something else. so excited to have a new place to hang in town!!!

We’ve waited a long time for this restaurant to open up. The place is beautiful, they did a really nice job on the remodel. Most important. The BEER is great so if you’re into tastings or trying new brews this place is for you. At first glance the menu looks pretty good some very interesting and appealing apps and dishes. However, we’ve been there a couple of times and the food itself seems to fall a little short in the taste, preparation and presentation. The Brewers Table has only been open a few weeks. I will go back and hopefully they will work out the kinks.

Parking is a big problem. The décor was nice and the staff was very friendly. The bartender was very pleasant but seeing that the bar was full and she was the only person working it took a long time to be served and even longer if you wanted a second beer. When it came time for dinner, the food, even though it sounded good, was not a pleasant experience. The mussels were wild with pearls in them and under cooked, the 2 orders of fish and chips were overcooked and extremely dry. The Cole slaw was just shredded cabbage and mayonnaise with no seasoning. I understand it is a new restaurant and they have to work out the kinks, but the manager, who helped serve the meals, should never let them get to the table. On a scale of 1 – 10, i would give it a 2. I am sorry but we will not be running back!

We waited over an hour for a table, and then waited almost another hour wait to get our meal. The beer was great but the food sadly lacking. We had five in our party and three of us found our meals to be almost inedible. We had high hopes as Ipswich could use a new restaurant. Perhaps the kitchen is still trying to find their groove. Based on this experience we won’t be rushing back.

Hell must have frozen over because I drank a beer… I *thought* I hated beer. Upon learning that’s all they serve, what’s a girl to do? The bartender has apparently dealt with people like me before because she immediately offered up a blueberry shanty and dare I say it was delicious? The décor is awesome — they really did a beautiful job. I had the half roasted chicken, served in a cast iron pan with a scorched lemon and Yukon potatoes. Hubs had the blue cheese steak… And the blue cheese butter? Yep, made with beer. Both were outstanding. Service was prompt and the bartender was awesome. Can’t wait to go back and they the boar and bison bolognese… Hell has definitely frozen over.

I was raised in Ipswich and my dad was a casual home-brewer when I was a kid. We’re beer people. Accordingly, I’ve always had hometown pride for Ipswich Ale Brewing. So, I was really excited when I heard that they had plans to open a brew-pub. Somewhat unfortunately, that was in 2010. After hiccups, setbacks, and a whole lot of jackhammering, the restaurant is officially, finally open, in a new and improved version of the building that used to be the Soffron clam-processing plant.(Don’t worry, the clam smell is gone!) The moment we heard, we scheduled an opportunistic visit to my parents, who live nearby. You enter through double doors with custom Ipswich Ale door-handles shaped like hops and barley.(Or something. Correct me, brew nerds. In any case, they are SUPER cool!) There’s a small flight of stairs — and an elevator, for anyone on wheels — and you enter near the merch table. Shirts, hats, and beer(including the sweet sweet 1AIPA; at 8% ABV, hold on to your butts) are all available for sale there. Stop by on your way out, because you’re gonna want more Ipswich beer than you can responsibly drink in one sitting. We sat at the bar on the very first Saturday night they were open. You can’t help but notice the vintage mill-truck that’s been cut down and embedded in the wall behind the bar. A stationary cousin to the brewery’s restored vintage tap-trucks(which, PSA, you can rent for your events!), she’s kitted out with 15 taps of delicious Ipswichy goodness. On the night we went, they had 9 beers on tap. They were: — Ale — iBelge — IPA — Oatmeal Stout — Route 101 West-Coast-style IPA — Blueberry Shandy for the chicks — S.I.P.A. [Session IPA] — Ruby Red IPA — the aforementioned blow-your-hair-back 1AIPA …plus their own bottled gluten-free Celia Saison. Needless to say, it was a great night for the IPA enthusiasts in our group. All the beers are $ 5, and apart from the 1A(10-oz pour, which is all you need) and the Celia(12-oz bottle), they’re all hearty 16-oz pints. No sneaky underpours here. Did I mention the beer is FIVEDOLLARS? The food is hearty and interesting, with many nods to Ipswich’s coastal location and centuries-long love affair with seafood. We enjoyed the stuffed calamari, deviled eggs, the standout pot-roast poutine, smoked-salmon«nigiri,» fish and chips, and the cheekily-named/mightily delicious LGBT sandwich(which, at a bargain $ 18, has almost as much lobster as those pathetic $ 24 rolls they sell to tourists in Boston, plus Gouda, bacon, tomato, and some kind of amazing avocado-based goo). They also do a salmon crusted with their very own delicious mustard, featuring their oatmeal stout. Speaking of which, pick some of that up at the merch table on your way out, too. Service was hiccupy on that night, but I figure that’s to be expected in their very first week(and doubly so since we were sitting at the bar). The lovely Misty was our bartender and server, and I don’t think she stopped moving for the entire time we were there — understandable, since everybody wanted beer and lots of it! At a certain point, a second person stepped in to help pull beers, which was much-needed. I can’t wait to go back!
