I signed up for Unilocal!to write this review. This was the worst bar I have ever been to. My group was in town to golf and we regretted stopping at Up North. The bartender was horrendous. Poured us a drink and then never acknowledged us again. Actually, half the time the bartender wasn’t even inside. We were the only people in the inside bar, so its not like the bartender was really busy. Apparently there was also an outdoor patio that was a spot for the locals to get high because the smell of burnt marijuana filled the bar. Oh, and the drinks… they were the worst mixed drinks we have ever had, by a wide margin. My rum and coke tasted like nothing. I’m not saying it was too weak and tasted like only soda. It actually tasted like nothing. The interesting part is the bartender poured nearly 75% of the drink full of «rum», so for it to have no taste says something. They obviously water down their booze, and the soda was flat. Absolutely terrible.

Absolutely no personality. No work ethic. No effort. Walking in as an outsider makes you feel as if you are burden. Felt guilty trying to spend some dime here because it sure wasn’t appreciated. No need to go back on my sledding adventures so… I won’t go back… leave it to the yocal local’s to support the open sign here.

The night I was here the bartenders name was Mike I asked him to turn the tv down because people were playing the jukebox and the basketball game that was on was just making extra noise he turned I down half a notch. The bathrooms smell like your standing knee deep in piss and the service sucked. I played a couple songs on the jukebox but the service was so bad I didn’t even stick around to hear them.

This is a local sports bar so the bartender is also the waitress and the cook. Not very friendly, but she did do what was needed. Food here was better than expected. The Chicago Dog tasted surprisingly good. Free pool on Thursday, darts, and «corn hole» are all available. It was not very busy Tues night so if u like your bars quiet or dive bars, this is the place.
