It is worth noting that Art Deco Décor not only recreates Art Deco lighting, statues, and accessories, but also, the company restores Art Deco pieces. I brought in my father’s 1930s floor lamp that had always tilted. Three other lighting-​fixture repair stores, including one antique shop, could not get it to stand straight. James Pessy, the owner of Art Deco Décor, took a personal interest in the lamp, understood its personal value, and had his craftsmen work diligently taking it apart and reassembling it. It now stands proudly again. My brass lamp was also delicately polished. An added bonus to visiting Art Deco Décor is that no one there has a snooty attitude, but respects everyone and is eager to help – even if you come, as I did, with your ratty exercise clothes on and your hair a mess. In addition, It’s exciting to just look around.
