Whatever you do don’t use this company. First of all you MUST prepay for services and they have a NO REFUND policy. You must agree to this policy at time of booking. I understood that. However, stuff happens. This is a horrible policy. Please beware.

The technician arrived within the two hour window and they do charge you for an hour in advance via phone. Tech was nice but recommended changing virus/​security software from Avast to Microsoft. When this was done, the next day there was a lot of junk/​spam — at least 6 — 7 messages in my inbox. When I inquired of the technician why I was getting these and how to remedy the problem he told me I’d have to remove each one by unsubscribing to each over a period of a month or so. He also stated that other software «masks» junk mail. I don’t know of other users, but my time is better spent in other endeavors and if the Avast places junk elsewhere where I don’t receive it in my in box that is fine. Also, I was told that Avast does not cover malware — but it does in free and paid for versions. Now I’ve spent time uninstalling Microsoft and returning to Avast. Make sure you ask questions of your technician before he changes your software to something that is less effective for your particular needs.

We had several issues with my old PC and my wife’s new laptop. We made an appointment with Friendly Fix It and Daniel showed up right on time. He was friendly and efficient and fixed all our problems. He improved the efficiency of my old PC and set up the new laptop to work well for my wife. When (as always happens) I had several questions a couple of days later, I called him and he connected to my computer remotely, giving a final polish to my setup at no extra charge. Well done.

I have used Friendly Fix It for all my pc needs for several years. Transferring computers, setup and all my repairs/​tuneups. Today I needed them to check my crashing pc, luckily was able to get it fixed today, by Daniel. I won’t call anyone else because of the personal service they provide and the fact that they don’t normally need to take it to the shop. You get it fixed in your home, same day. And they have never had to come back out because it gets done right the first time.
