Great food as it has always been. I love the breakfast burritos. Just the right spice and perfect in size.

Closed?!? What’s this I read? Has it really been so many moons since last I was working on Irvine? Harry’s was AWESOME! Everything this serial sandwich seeker stubbornly sought from a sandwich shop. Please reopen.

FINALLY tried this place a few weeks ago after drooling over pics for many months and I have to say that it’s pretty damn good! I’m not the type to be crazy about a sandwich place, but this is just no ordinary deli/sandwich shop. I wanna give 5 stars, but it was a bit pricier than I was expecting. It’s more like 4.5 stars. I just had to try the two signature sandwiches everyone raved about: the Ribeye and the Chicken Di Giorgio. The Ribeye was juicy and like amazingly tasty. I’d totally go into more detail but I devoured that shit like I just got released from prison. Plus I was too baked to even really comprehend the depth of flavors going on in my mouth. Just take my word(and everyone else’s) and try it. One gripe about it is that it has too much bread for my taste. I’m not a big fan of bread, I guess. Onto the Chicken Di Giorgio! It was kinda small but also very good. Mannnn if you love Chicken and some kind of Marinara sauce on crack with cheese that’s been crafted by the gods, then order this and never look back. It comes in a Ciabatta Roll and it suited me more than the roll that came with the Ribeye Sandwich. Tough decision for next time, but in a good way haha. The Second Best Onion Rings were no lie! They were really the Second Best Onion Rings I’ve had, ever. The best would have to go to Lola Gaspar, sorry fellas. Regardless, they were really good and I wish I had some right now. Macaroni Salad was good, but I guess I had higher expectations for it and got a little bit let down. No worries, I wanna try the other sides on the menu anyway so that definitely makes my decision easier. It’s a little on the dry side(I knew it would be dry and not the kind you find drenched in mystery white dressing), but still drier than I expected. Also I feel like it’s kind of monotonous. I remember only tasting red onions and macaroni and a bit of oil. Damn why did I have to end it on a slightly sad note… Anyway, I’LLDEFINITELYBEBACK. I’m gonna maybe try a burger next time. They all sound delicious and yah I’ll definitely get my Onion Ring fix. Maybe try the Potato Salad too. There I go with the drooling again…

Yummy in my tummy! Harry’s Deli is located in a nondescript industrial part of Irvine. The interior is decorated with aviation photographs and memorabilia, possibly in ode to the Marine Corps Air Station next door in Tustin. There is a large table in the middle where various groups can sit, as well as smaller tables placed around the edges of the interior. I got the Chicken DiGiorgio sandwich and my son got The Standard burger. Both were very tasty. My son killed the fries, and left me with very few pieces. I SO wanted to order the onion rings, but I knew I couldn’t finish an order by myself. Next time, I’m bringing an onion rings lover with me! We were waiting quite awhile to get our food even though people before us already got their orders. Although I didn’t know it was him at the time, Harry came out and served us and said there was a mix-up in the kitchen and our food was sitting with the to-go orders. He also came back with a delicious black and white cookie and a bag of chips to apologize. What great service! My son asked for him when we were ready to leave. My son shook his hand and told Harry he loved the burger. Harry said he loved my son’s shirt. Mutual admiration, perhaps? Whatever the case, we’ll definitely be back. Any place that can feed my picky son, I’m definitely going to keep on my restaurant rotation!

I apparently hadn’t been here in two years, not really sure why, but I was completely surprised when I walked in the door today. I knew the place was closed for remodeling, but it’s like another world in Harry’s, now, and I love it. The place has opened up a lot more, has chalkboard-paint walls with the specials on them, and lots of seating areas. It just feels so much more welcoming, and relaxed(although I imagine during a lunch rush, it gets hectic). I went with the Gardener on wheat, with turkey, based on the recommendation of another Unilocaler. The sandwich, presentation-wise alone, was gorgeous — soft bread, piled high with fresh, colorful veggies(sprouts, avocado, onion, and more) and delicious slices of turkey. It tasted even more amazing, if that was possible. It’s pretty wallet-friendly(~$ 6 for a 6″ sub), you can call in orders to avoid the lunch rush, and the sandwiches are supremely delicious, I highly recommend!

Located in an industrial area is this hidden gem. My friend knew about this place and took me here during a weekday. They close at 3pm and we walked in at 2:55pm. We asked would it be okay for us to order and eat there? They were more than happy to accommodate us! My friend and I split the rib-eye sandwich. It is sooooooooo yummy!!! I cannot stress how good it tasted. The bread was very fresh and the meat so tender. It’s quite a big portion as well. I cannot look at other sandwiches the same after having the rib-eye sandwich. The servers were very friendly and nice. We tried to finish our food fast within 20 minutes so we could leave. Never once did they rushed us. I can’t wait to be back!

All these years working in Irvine and I had never heard of Harry’s Deli. Then again, Irvine is a massive city. I was introduced to this place by one of my best buds of all time. He’s never steered me wrong and this place was a solid 4.5 stars(I round up so it goes to five awright?). I mean, a place that makes most of it’s own sauces, including Mayo, has GOT to be good right? I ordered The Standard Hamburger and an order of onion rings. The hamburger was outstanding! It had a well-balanced flavor and the patty tasted real, not like something you’d get at Carl’s, BKs, or even In-N-Out. It was also the perfect size, not so big that you couldn’t put your mouth around it and not so small that you wanted to order 3 more… hahaha! Then I took a bit out of the home made onion rings… ))))))))))) Whirlwind((((((((((((( They were so cogently, gastronomically orgasmic that it made me spin in my chair round and round in circles(familiar with the Tasmanian Devil that used to chase Bugs Bunny? Yeah, that guy). As soon as you walk in you get like this air-hanger-feel to it. The place is small so my only admonishment is to get here before the lunch rush. It gets packed here during the prime lunch hours. Tip #1: I find it best to get here between 11am and 11:30 am to avoid the crazy lunch crowd. Tip #2: Parking — If you can’t find parking right by Harry’s if you drive a little further back there is a lot with a lot more parking spaces. If you have to there is another lot if you drive even further back. Tip #3: If you want to view their menu or call in your order ahead of time just view their menu online here: Tip #4: This place is tucked away in a business park surrounded by commercial entities. For your first time coming here you’ll definitely want to use your GPS or Google maps. Tip #5: The owner, Harry, is a very cool, personable guy. Feel free to ask him questions about the menu, if you have special dietary needs, etc. He’s a chill guy and will do his best to please you. This is definitely one of my favorite lunch places now… can barely wait to try other menu items.

My girlfriend, Gloria, took me here since she used to work here. At first she asked me if I wanted to try her friend’s deli place and I was like sure, why not. But I was really thinking to myself, gosh, I really don’t feel like eating subway sandwiches today. As an avid Unilocaler, I decided to Unilocal the place before we went. I was pleasantly surprised by all the Unilocal reviews! One thing I will say is that the pictures are DECEIVING. i thought the sandwiches were going to be much smaller. We arrived and my gf asked me if we should split the Chicken Di GIorgio and I was like, no, I’m hungry. I want my own sandwich! She seriously looked at me and was like no, this sandwich is huge. And I’m like, are you sure, cus I’m really hungry. We decided to split the sandwich, onion rings, and I ordered the tomato basil soup, just in case I was still hungry. lol Food came out fast! Service was great! Harry greeted us, he is super nice! I was really impressed with the tomato basil soup! Rich, thick and creamy! Perfect for a cold day. I was also impressed with the Chicken Di Glorgio because they give you a huge slab of meat, pretty much. Just like how I like it. ONIONRINGS — this is why I’m giving them 5 stars. I think they use PANKO or something for the breading and sea salt. So CRISPY&CRUNCHY on the outside. I took some to go, ate it 4 hours later … STILLCRUNCHY! wow, i will be back. can’t wait to try the other sandwiches. thanks Harry!

In a way I feel bad for Harry’s, because with this amount of glowing reviews there is really no way for it to live up to the hype. I had been wanting to visit this popular deli for a long time and maybe I’m a little late to the party and Harry isn’t trying as hard anymore, but for me, Harry’s was just that, trying to hard. The hipster ambiance is achieved with vintage maps, chalkboard art, and a minimalist chandelier. I get it, your designer probably had a cool mustache too. The specialty menu items all featured an exhausted list of fancy ingredients like gruyère cheese, butter lettuce, and aioli. Pretentious much? Luckily the pretentiousness stops when you see the generous portions and reasonable price tag. My Chicken Di Giorgio sandwich was good but not glorious. I was however, impressed with their fries. Harry gets it when it comes to fries, they leave the skin on and fry them to a crunchy crisp, a small size is plenty for 2 people. Overall Harry’s is a good fancy sandwich shop not a legendary experience.

Harry’s Deli? Just meh. I got the Chicken Di and expected it to be poppin’ with flavors. Took a bite and expected the symphony of breaded chicken, cheese, tomato & a basil sauce to be dancing on my tastebuds. But no dance happened. I do like the ciabatta bread but it’s really nothing amazing like what these reviews rave about. You know when you read many positive reviews and the food tastes otherwise? Yeah that was my experience for Harry’s.

This place is a hidden gem. The only thing that stinks is that it’s only open for lunch hours M-Saturday…so be aware of the hours before you try to go there. PARKING: It’s kind of hard to find, you have to find it in the middle of a bunch of office buildings but there’s a big lot to the left of Harry’s Deli if you drive into the complex. WAIT: It can get a bit crowded around lunch time since a lot of working/business people come for their lunch break so come early or be prepared to wait a little. ATMOSPHERE: This was my second time coming back and I noticed that he remodeled the place. It looks a lot better and not like a typical cafeteria/sandwich shop. It has a aviation type theme with dark walls and wooden tables/chairs. It’s definitely a casual type place. FOOD: I got the Rib Eye sandwich with macaroni salad. The rib eye sandwich is amazing, definitely enough for two people because each half is HUGE. You get a healthy serving of rib eye, medium rare, and every bite seems to be tender, juicy, and with the right amount of fat. I don’t know if it’s the way he cooks it, seasons it, or if he gives you the best part of the rib eye but each bit and piece does NOT disappoint. It comes with some bell peppers and onions perfectly sauteed. The sandwich roll isn’t super crunchy but for once I didn’t mind — I liked that it was softer and not cutting into my mouth. It also came with this spread on the side, it was white, and I’m not sure what it was made of but it was so good, I slathered that stuff on. The Macaroni Salad was surprisingly good! It’s on the dryer side but I like that and I also liked that it wasn’t super creamy, it was the perfect balance and very refreshing. Overall, you have to try this place — find a week day or saturday lunch to come to this place and get the rib eye sandwich. Harry is also really nice and I like that he still takes the orders and brings people their food too, very personable and gives you that small business feel.

This place is one of those place I would recommend going in pairs. Why you ask? Three main reasons: 1. Sharing is Caring! 2. You can try out different sandwiches by splitting them in halfs or even quarters. 3. Tag team them seats and have someone else order for you while you reserve the limited territory. This time around I tried the Chicken Di Giorgio, possibly the most popular sandwich that they have and there is a GOOD reason for it. It is quite possibly the juiciest, tomato tart, herby basil flavored chicken sandwich I have ever encountered. I have a new favorite deli all thanks to this sandwich alone! To give this sandwich even more street cred of the hard knock bubble city of Irvine, I don’t even like chicken all that much. I’m still scratching my head on why chick-fil-a gets so much credit. If you like chick-fil-a, prepare to get your Mind Blown~ *add sound effect* –OUT–

Tuna w/soft Italian bread was just ok, there was more veggies put into my sandwich rather than tuna & there was nothing special about it. =(-1 I find that this is kinda pricey for what I got, compared to Vietnamese baguettes for half of their prices here. –1 They didn’t event toast my sandwich. Cashier had an attitude & fake smile. =(Boo. –1 Rib eye steak sandwich was over priced for the amount of meat you get. –1 There was definitely not ½ lb of meat in this sandwich. Prices are too high for students but ok for working peeps. Ambiance & décor is pretty chill & relaxed. +1 Free self serve water & ketchup packets. +1 Place is kinda over hyped. =P

I have been wanting to come here for a very long time. Everyone at work comes here and raves about it. But my first experience was not so great. I ordered the Chicken Di Giorgio because that is what everyone recommends. :P The chicken ended up being dry and there wasn’t enough tomatoes. I do not think there was any cheese on it? Take a look at my pic and tell me what you think? I will give Harry’s another shot because it can’t be like this everytime. Right? :(

Harry’s Deli would be one of Irvine’s best kept secret is it wasn’t for the 549(and counting) reviews here. Hidden in a rather nondescript business park near the airport is a deli for hipster foodies. The décor is very industrial — stainless steel, corrugated aluminum, concrete, and, of course, a crystal chandelier — much like what you might find in downtown LA eateries. But the food here is down to earth and homemade. As recommended by Unilocalers, I ordered the Chicken di Giorgio, and it did not disappoint. It’s a pan-fried chicken breast topped with a fresh tomato basil sauce, mozzarella cheese, and garlic aioli on ciabatta bread. Each of the flavors was distinct yet harmonious. The sandwich came out piping hot and was very satisfying. On another visit, I tried The Italian Stallion. I really enjoyed the combination of Italian meats — Mortadella, Capicolla, Sopressata — but thought the sandwich could have benefitted from shredded iceberg for better texture. The Softer Italian roll was also a bit chewy. More recently, I had the belly-busting, food coma-inducing Ribeye Steak Sandwich. The seasoning was a little inconsistent, and I’m not sure I was totally on board with the cumin aioli, but once I added a few dashes of the habanero hot sauce, the sandwich transformed into a total flavor bomb. A pricey bite at $ 13.90(up from the other reports of $ 11.50) but if you buy a gift certificate from , you can knock a few dollars off the total. If you haven’t been to Harry’s, you should definitely try it before the secret really gets out. Just be sure to arrive a few minutes before noon though, because once the lunch crowd hits, you will standing in a line 8 – 10 people deep. Not a fun thing when you’ve got the stomach growls!

Harry’s Deli is back folks! Yes, I admit to being a fangirl. Yes, I’ve been back twice since they reopened on October 15th. I showed up on the first day they reopened since I was off recovering from my half marathon. It was BUSY. I was lame enough to not call in my order, so I had to WAIT. Yes, the service is spotty since they are still learning their new POS system. Yes, the prices are a little higher. BUT, you do get better portions for your buck. The food is still fantastic. The drinks, well, there are cool hard to find cane sugar sodas, but I think we’d all like to see maybe a beverage dispenser in addition to the cool bottled sodas. I love that the rib-eye is still made to your preference and that it’s BIGGER. The garlic aioli still comes with it and I ate the ENTIRETHING when I got home. On my second visit which was this past Saturday, I called in my order for the 1-up burger and a bottled root beer. The root beer had an interesting flavor to it. I didn’t dislike it but it tastes a little different from Barq’s or A&W. The 1-up burger comes with gruyère, bacon, mushrooms, and a soft brioche? bun. It was so good, I inhaled it. I kind of regret not ordering onion rings, but since I was eating solo, I didn’t want to engorge myself despite running a few miles that morning. The service was less busy when I arrived around 11:45 am, but I heard it got busier after noon. Word to the wise, call in your order. It will make you happier that your food is ready or being prepped when you arrive. The line can get really long. But I think it’s worth the wait. Heck, I’ve waited so very long to have another steak sandwich and am so glad that Harry is back.

After some tasty sweets were had earlier in the a.m., some real sustenance was required so hubby and I walked over to Harry’s Deli with Rodney S. and Moises M. I’m not as boo-yah or transfixed as my fellow Unilocalers. We each taste tested the others and while both were good, they were not worth the money. At $ 13.50 my ribeye was a bit fatty & was not stuffed with steak slices as I expected, but more a small ribeye, cut up to fit, including fat(I only eat steak fat from an awesome steak house where it is crispy and delicious). The soft bread was very good, as was the cumin aioli served on the side. Rohlin’s small Italian Stallion had Mortadella, Capicolla, Molinari, Sopressata, provolone, lettuce, tomato bruschetta, pepperoncini and Italian dressing for $ 5.90. Honestly, it was a sad looking sandwich for that price, not stuffed full, more like 1 thin slice of each of the listed ingredients. This is a small sandwich joint in an industrial work area, that obviously others love, as it was quite crowded on a Saturday and the people just kept coming. We sat at a long high bar-top type table, making conversation difficult, but all the regular tables were full. Harry’s Deli also has burgers and other types of sandwiches, fries and onion rings. Moises shared a ring and I have to say it was fantastic. There is a small refrigerator section of some hard to find bottled drinks, including Big Red, yum! My husband turned me on to Big Red and I’m kind of hooked to that pure cane sugar taste! The staff was friendly, albeit a bit scatter brained as they couldn’t read each other’s handwriting, or it was written wrong, because they had a lot of trouble bringing us our food, finding us, even though we were right there practically in front of them and I’d hate to see this place during the rush of the lunch week, mass chaos?! I also see that other Unilocalers state very different prices for their food, our prices were much higher, especially that ribeye, like $ 2 more. I wouldn’t be opposed to coming back, but Harry you are not tops on my list.

I finally got to come here after it reopened due to remodeling! Been waiting to see what the hype was about! Food: I came here with my friend and we decided to get the Rib Eye and the Chicken Di sandwiches so that we can eat half of each! The Rib Eye was pretty standard, but after the sauce that comes with it came on it. It just went to a whole nother level of tasty goodness. The Chicken Di though is probably the best thing here. Chicken is tender and moist and blends well with the bread and tomatoes. :] Service: The staff is incredibly nice and Harry himself is always greeting people. Atmosphere: The remodeling definitely made this place feel like a great spot for lunch. With a mixture of modern humor(Keep Calm and eat Harry’s) to some old school decorations, this place is definitely well kept. Price: Here’s where it lost a star :[. I would not pay $ 14 for that Rib Eye Sandwich. It was good, just not worth $ 14. The Chicken Di on the other hand is about right for $ 8. Special Drinks(Bacon, Peanut Butter Sodas) are around $ 2 each too :[. A tad bit pricey. Overall Opinion: I definitely would come back to get that Chicken DI or to try the soups/sides. Harry’s Deli is not a place you want to miss out on, especially if you work nearby! Try to get here early to get parking and avoid the lunch rush!

I can’t believe I haven’t written a review for this place yet! I loveee Harry’s Deli’s fresh, made to order sandwiches!(and friendly service) Harry’s Deli is located near a bunch of corporate office buildings near the John Wayne Airport and kind of hard to spot, so make sure you use your GPS!(Parking is located in the back). There isn’t too much seating but most people take their orders togo so I haven’t had a problem to finding a seat.(knock on wood.) My favorites have got to be the Chicken Di and the Pulled Pork! — Chicken Di: Very moist and topped with fresh tomato, garlic, and basil sautee, with buffalo mozzarella melted on top — Pulled Pork: Juicy, tender, bbq pulled pork! For a deli, the quality is very up to par and the pork was very flavorful – you can tell that it was actually given a spice rub, rather than just pork drenched in bbq sauce. dont be surprised if your hands get a little messy! — Pastrami: A bit dry for my taste so I had to add some mustard to it, but not too shabby. — Macaroni salad: nothing too crazy but im glad it wasnt drenched in mayo! It had a yellowish tint to it so im guessing there was more mustard? I’m definitely coming back soon since I work so close to it! ** Be sure to check in on Unilocal! You get a free beverage of your choice after a few check ins! ** ** They also sell Unilocal tin lunch pails! **

Everyone loves a quickie. Everyone. Well almost everyone. Just don’t expect any of that stuff going on here. Harry’s not that kinda guy. He likes to take his time. What you can expect though are some perfectly crafted sandwiches that take time so don’t come if you’re in a rush. Well if you are, just call in your order because I noticed a lot of phone orders coming in as soon as they opened up at 11a, but you better know where you’re going when it’s time to pick up your order because you may drive by it a couple of times if you’ve never been. Everyone loves a noon-er. Everyone. Right? So if you want to come here at 12 noon, don’t. You’ll be coming at peak hours and will probably take a little longer than normal, there’ll probably be a line and you probably won’t have nowhere to sit. So save your 12p hour for other activities and build up an appetite. All joking aside. Come in anytime. Order anything on the menu. On my visit, I was able to try the Chicken Di and Ribeye. These sanwiches were so good that one problem you may encounter is that you love these sandwiches so much, that you won’t want to try anything else on the menu. But I guess that’s the beauty of Harry’s Deli, you’re going to want to come back and try other items. I’ll be back. So next time you want to satisfy your cravings, call or even better go see Harry. And yes I’m talking about sandwich cravings.
