Jack In The Box

Usually when I come to jack in the (crack) box late at night the older drive-​thru gentleman. This time it there was a male probably mid-​30s working. He was so rude!!! No total at the intercom so I pulled up to the window and he just handed his hand out; I asked again, «how much?» Because I wanted to give some of my change away. As he sighed while giving me my total. He took my money, gave me my receipt and the just walked away (guessing to check on my food). Then he comes back and handed me my drink; «here»… I say «thank you» and still no response. Two minutes later he returns with my meal. I just take it and drive back home. And he clearly spoke English because he was talking to his co-​worker. No language barrier, deafness or disorder from what I could see. Not sure if I’ll come back.

Hahaha anyway, Jack in the Box is open ²⁴⁄₇. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten it in the day, but the late night munchie meal is delicious. I used to go here all the time freshman year, but even now I think I go here more than any other place. It’s good cause it’s always open and can fit your cravings from whatever event you had. Curly fries are yummy, chicken sandwiches and nuggets are okay but tasty when you’re hungry and broke. I got the teriyaki chicken bowl and eggroll one time last year (I don’t know man LOL) and it wasn’t bad! You can never go wrong with the 2 tacos for a buck deal.
Good place only late at night. I’d never crave Jack during the day :-)

My go to place because it’s open ²⁴⁄₇. Never disappoints especially after 9pm with those munchie meals. They definitely stepped up their game when they got the customizable fountain drinks machine. The only reason why I’m giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is because they don’t have mozzarella cheese sticks anymore.

I needed late night munchies and didn’t want to cook at all. I get so hungry these cold nights. Especially when I’m studying, I want some food to accompany me and the closest to UCI area would be Jack in the Box.
Their curly fries are my new best friend. I love fries so much and the fries from here makes me happy since not everywhere offers curly fries. This place service is ok but better than many fast food places.
Perks: they are open ²⁴⁄₇! If you ever get bored of studying, sudden fries cravings, whatever. Come here!

This is one of the best Jack in the boxes to go to for late night food cravings in Irvine. It’s near UCI so expect a nerd heard fest. The staff is good but I feel bad for them that they have to deal with the crowd of drones that come in.

This place gets ZERO stars. «Ameen» the kid that works in there needs to fix his attitude and learn the basics of customer service. «Rude» doesn’t even begin to describe this guy. He was literally looking for a fight. Alfredo the manager tried to help and failed as well. They gave me a number to a dating hotline instead of corporate office. FYI I called your corporate office and will be speaking to the district manager and I will not stop until this punk Ameen gets fired. I also work for the company that owns the area where your establishment is and I will do whatever I can to make sure they do not renew your lease. This is a disgrace.

Drunk? High? Hungry? Broke? Cheap fast food open ²⁴⁄₇.

This is the best spot post party, pledging, or late night run. Seriously, at 3 am you don’t have much choice so 5 stars for being open.
So many «omg I’m gonna be so tired tmrw but screw it let’s get curly fries with ranch… no wait add some tacos too».
In fact, I came here with friends for an entire month when they had this coupon for any free menu item with purchase of large drink. Those noobs at corporate didn’t think to put any expiration date so I ate here for lunch for a month. After, I gained 20 lbs and became depressed. It was like the worse version of supersize me. Don’t do it. Trust.
On the flip side, if you do come here and you’re ordering, get the curly fries with ranch. It’ll destroy your gains/​buzz/​soul but so worth it.

I’m not going to lie: I will literally eat all the tacos from this place. It’s usually not very busy, too, which is a plus, but I suppose I’m trying to change that by writing this review? Um.
The posters inside are also brilliant in the best way, which is all I will say about them.

Best jack in the crack around! Always fresh the curly fries are bbbbbomb and pretty fast here too and the inside is always clean and the staff are so sweet.

The «wifi» they offer in the dinning area is a joke. Don’t waste your time coming here to study or use your laptop unless you don’t need an internet connection. The service was pretty good however the later you come here the sketchier it gets. Homeless people hang out in the booths all night and the employees don’t make them leave so you have to watch your stuff if you go to the bathroom because I caught a dude walking to my area when I went to refill my soda. I came here for some curly fries not to get robbed when I’m getting a refill.

Its Jack n the Box… fast food… but definitely satisfies my taco and grilled cheese sandwich cravings for a low price! Quick, cheap, yummy… and love the hot sauce! I might get some tacos from here tomorrow…

2 tacos for a dollar. How much better does it get? Especially if you’re a broke college student like myself. That’s really the only thing I’ve gotten here besdies the munchie meal which is pretty filling. After a long night of drinking, this is definitely the spot for most of UCI. It’s always packed on Friday nights and most of the time, everyone there at 2am are drunk too, so it gets pretty fun lol (and loud).
When I’m not feeling as hungry, i usually just get 2 tacos, which are surprisingly good! I’ve actually had them when I was sober and still as delicious! I like that it has a good crunch and a bit of a softer texture towards the middle. The service is just alright, but no surprise since they’re serving drunk college kids all night that probably won’t remember eating it in the morning. The workers are usually pretty fun to talk to, and the best part is that its 24 hours!

My friends and I always come here after a night of drinking. It’s quick, cheap, and delicious!!! (when you’re drunk anyway. I have no idea what it tastes like sober). The customer service at this particular one is awesome, the workers are super chill and they like to conversate with you even and especially when you’re inebriated LOL. Once I even got a free drink out of it! Woopwoop
My friend and I always split the loaded nuggets munchie meal. Comes with half/​half reg fries and curly fries, 2 tacos, and chicken nuggets covered in cheese and bacon bits!
Apparently the tacos are half soy half beef or something, but they’re still great. And only 2/​$ 1? Awww yeah
Sometimes late at night they play an edm radio station. It’s basically a party in a fast food joint, filled with drunk college kids tryna get some cheap food lol

Best customer service at a fast food joint. As you know, Jack in the box is just Jack in the box; however, the service they had provided me was wonderful.
It was my turn to provide food for the team this morning and with the budget, I have decided to get 2 for 99cent tacos. Good deal always. I got 50 tacos in total and surprisingly, they did not get annoyed at all but made jokes while taking other people’s orders. And, it does get a bit busy in the mornings. while I was waiting, the person at the cashier provided free coffee and breakfast sandwich since the order would take bit longer. Also, at the end, the manager came out later on to give me coupons for free tacos next time! I’m glad I came here for massive order. Happy morning!

It’s fast, convenient, and cheap. There isn’t much anything else. Like any other fast food place, you obviously aren’t going to be getting a fining dining experience, so don’t expect food to excite and wow your taste buds. Like most other Jack-​in-​the-​Box you’re going to get subpar everything (from food to service).
Also interesting note: This Jack-​in-​the-​Box now places techno/​club-​ish music at night now. It really gives off a whole different vibe to the place than it normally has in the afternoon. I find it funny and entertaining, however, this means that it probably isn’t a viable place to study for most students anymore (unless you study with techno music on…).

Ok, where do you start…
First, the loud, blaring techno music… seriously what the fudge? I don’t even know what to say. Here I am trying to study and/​or write a paper in the ²⁴⁄₇ Jack in the Box, and I can’t even hear myself think. Smh…
Second, the service was absolutely atrocious. Like bitch, please. So I was standing there waiting for the cashier to take my order, but it took literally 7 minutes until someone even noticed us there… THEN when they noticed us they told us «we will be right with you», sooooooooo annoying.
Figure it out Jack, you just lost 2 loyal customers.

Eating at this Jack In The Box is an essential part of the UCI experience.
If you’re eating here before 10 PM, you’re doing it wrong.
This particular location is open ²⁴⁄₇ inside and at the drive-​thru. Since most establishments in Irvine close before 10 PM, there’s definitely a shortage of viable late-​night eateries. Also, a lot of students don’t have transportation or the desire to travel far for a quick bite to eat. The fact that it’s located across the street from UCI makes this Jack a CLUTCH location.
So why only 3 stars? Dude, it’s Jack In The Box. Need I say more? But, it’s not like you’re seeking a gourmet dining experience at 2 AM after a heavy night of partying.
This place gets PACKED from 11 PM-​3 AM on Thursday-​Saturday nights. It presents an interesting display of the best and worst of mankind. If nothing else, it’s entertaining as hell.
Don’t expect top notch food or service. The workers are dealing with a grip of rowdy college kids and have zero tolerance for any antics. The food definitely seems rushed… smashed burger patties, ketchup already oozing out, lettuce all over the wrapper, etc. Whatever, you’ll still eat it.
Pro-​Tip: The value menu is your best friend. Two tacos for a dollar make you holler.

— If you’re strapped for cash, the Tacos are the way to go.
— When there aren’t drunk or high people it’s a great place to have one of those 4am heart to hearts with a good friend. I’ve had a few to be honest during my college years.
