Horrible experience! As soon as I check in the problems began. They charged me the entire up front fees without checking with my insurance company to figure out what I really owed. I have now spent more than 2 months trying to get my refund back. I knew how much my portion was but they kept saying that it was their policy to collect the entire bill until the insurance company paid them. So I call my insurance, Cigna! And was told that they have been asked to not to that. But they would rather me pay a fee on my credit card then wait to be paid from insurance. They are contracted with Cigna. I don’t understand.
The care I received from the nurses and staff in surgery was OKAY but don’t expect any warm and fuzzy!
Too many great surgery centers to go to to bother with this one!

I had to pick up a friend and promptly arrived at 8:35 am. For the next hour and 15 minutes we had to sit around and wait for the doctor to discharge the patient. When the doctor arrived he was rude and couldn’t care less about my friends concerns or questions. He walked away mumbling some advice for recovery. And the nurses all have dog face attitudes you can tell they hate their lives. Whenever the doctor of an office is unprofessional and incompetent it truly reflects on the entire staff.

Our dr office mistakenly gave us paperwork to show up to an appt at this location. The lady at desk was extremely rude. Her attitude so unhelpful, her words where «that dr not here today» I had a complete folder with everything saying I was suppose to be there. Her response that «it’s not here», «who called you?» I asked is there another place it could be, her response «I don’t know you have to call your dr.» Thank god my son had anesthesia dr phone from a call day before. He saved the day. While this mean unhelpful lady, never even picked up a phone, tried to be helpful!!! In a business your person at front represents your establishment, if I ever have to have a surgery, I will not go here based on the horrible customer service MARIA at check in displayed!

Very clean and professional. I like the way the staff treat people. I am happy my family went there.

All I can say is AWESOME!!! I’m a patient of Dr. Mahrou and Dr. Rafizad. This isn’t my first time as an outpatient procedure and every time, I’m treated like ROYALTY. The reception area is very nicely decorated, LARGE ROOM, long couches for you to relax on, (someone has to pick you up) so they give you a place to rest, while you’re waiting. They have free coffee, outlets for you to set up your laptop, nice music and the people at the reception desk are ALWAYS professional, knowledgeable and pleasant.
The «pre-​op» area for patients is OUTSTANDING. You’re treated with the greatest of care, the nurses are pleasant, always very understanding of your needs, they put you in a bed, give you a gown, cap & booties for your feet, wrap you up in a warm blanket, hook up your I. V, put a heart monitor on you, take your blood pressure, and always respectful. The doctor and anesthesiologist come out to talk with you prior to your procedure, ask you if you need or want anything to relax you and then once you’re wheeled into the surgical room, I’ve had nothing but the BEST experiences during all of my procedures. I prefer to be awake during my procedure but you have the choice to be totally sedated. Dr. Mahrou and Dr. Rafizad are always making sure I’m comfortable, always ask if I need more sedation. Afterwards, I’m taken to recovery for 15 minutes where different nurses monitor you, help you get dressed, give you juice or water and then wheel you downstairs and out to the front of the building where your driver is waiting for you.
The following day I always receive a call from Dr. Mahrou and Dr. Rafizad’s office, checking to see how I’m feeling and if there were any problems. You are reminded that you need to make an appt for your 2 week follow up visit with the doctor.
I’m amazed how well this team works TOGETHER as a FAMILY, instead of just «doing their job». I’ve never been disappointed or had a bad experience! If you MUST have a procedure done, go to Dr. Mahrou and or Dr. Rafizad at Pain Care Providers, I promise you’ll have a great experience.
