Three meats. The only real thing that made my trip to Dallas-Fort Worth(well, technically Irving) worthwhile. Brisket. Chicken. Honey ham. Jalapeño beans, fries and a small iced tea. Portions weren’t that big but it’s BBQ and not cheap. Their spicy sauce had just the right amount of sweet and a nice little kick without being overpowering(some places go overboard and either make it too sweet or too spicy, so Dickey’s found the balance). Check in offer for free ice cream, but the sign over the ice cream says«free ice cream». Hmmmm.

After lunch rush. Food was ok. Grew up at the original on central. Seems quality has gone down. Changed the recipes for some of the sides. Not the same as in the 60s and 70s.

This may be my favorite Dickeys. The atmosphere is super inviting, cute, & country. The food is always fresh. The service is friendly and efficient. Don’t let the strip mall exterior fool you — take a step inside.

Great food and great service. The owners are very friendly and you often see them behind the counter waiting on people. I eat here any time I’m in the neighborhood.

I absolutely love this place! The customer service is great, the food is so delicious, the new owners(Debbie and Dave) are very sweet, the restaurant is always clean, and the soft serve ice cream is amazing(not to mention it’s free if you place an order and that it’s also dairy-free so anyone, lactose intolerant or not, can enjoy it)! Kids eat free on Sundays and they cater too! Keep up the good work y’all!(:

This is my goto bbq place near work when I think hard Eights is too busy or just too far for me to get over there. Food is always consistent. No complaints… They have a derive through that is very convienant.

I’ve been back to Dickey’s 3 times since my first visit on 6÷4÷14. The meat is fantastic as well as the service! I tried the cole slaw again today and it was delicious! Highly recommend this Dickey’s for your BBQ needs!

We’re back again for third time. Debbie and David have a clean, welcoming establishment that we enjoy visiting as a family… especially on Sundays when kiddos eat free. :) My initial review seems to not be displaying, but I just wanted to reiterate my support and appreciation for this specific Dickey’s location. Let them know Katie sent you! ;)

At least the place is big enough to accommodate a large group, i’ll give them that. And it’s not the absolute worst BBQ i’ve ever had. But it’s close to the worst. It’s really not all that great; with all the great Texas BBQ in Texas, why do people come to places like Dickey’s? Their very name«Barbecue Pit» is misleading, as I could not even see a barbecue pit in or around their kitchen area. In fact, when I ordered my brisket, they took it out of some metal heating drawer. I dunno, I’m sure the heating drawer works just fine, but for the sake of appearances and seeming authentic, don’t pull your meats out of a drawer. All of their meats came out of that drawer. The crazy thing is that, for a chain that doesn’t seem to go for authentic, Dickey’s prices are«authentic-level,» if that makes any sense. I pay the same amount for slightly more food at better BBQ places than I did at Dickey’s. I had never been to a Dickey’s before, so that was definitely unexpected. So yeah, i think this first time going to a Dickey’s will be my last time going to a Dickey’s…
