I just moved in and am writing a review regarding the check-in and the apartment itself. I moved in March 17, 2016 and so far so good. The check-in was easy as I had already signed the lease. So far, from from what I see from staff they’re good. It’s too early to really tell yet so I’ll move on to the rating of the apartment. I am on the first floor which is like a first floor from the street but out my window it’s like being on the second flood and I love that! What a great view! Wonderfully landscaped all around and I’m near a semi-busy street but that makes it sound like the ocean — in fact, the first night I was here I was wondering why I kept hearing the ocean until I realized it was the cars passing by like waves. I have the 1 bedroom 665 sq ft. It’s a different layout than the floor plan on their website so it was a bit confusing as to where to put what as I had already had everything laid out in my mind before moving. I just moved from an 800 sq ft apartment so I knew I was going to have to downgrade my «stuff» before moving here and it’s a good thing I did because there’s not nearly as much storage room but the outside storage is huge so all my crochet/knitting/Christmas/other things I don’t use often is out there. The French doors are gorgeous and so is the patio. In fact, this is such a cute apartment and I was a little leery of moving somewhere smaller but this is the perfect size for a single person. It’s a very bright apartment which makes it very cheerful. I put up heavy drapes in the bedroom so the light won’t wake me up early. Since I haven’t been here but two days, I can’t really rate anything like maintenance calls or office personnel as far as personality type but so far so good! Glad I moved here!

I lived at MacArthur Ridge from Jan 2015 until Sept 2015. I give the apartment one star because of the front office staff. The apartment manager is really cool, and she was always really helpful. Jose, a leasing agent onsite, was professional and reasonable with most requests. But one bad apple can ruin a bunch. And Kristina, the Asian leasing agent who works most weekends, is a very, very bad apple. Kristina single handedly made my experience a negative one. She is always rude, and I mean always. She is short in her responses and unwilling to help in even the most trivial way. I once called front office to report a maintenance issue and was put on hold for a bit. Rather than leaving a message, I thought, «No worries. I’ll just drop by the front office to tell them.» There was no one else in the office, and I told Kristina about the maintenance issue and was expecting that to be good enough. The acted like it was not her job. The was so freaking rude. She said, «You’ll have to call and leave a message.» I was like, hey, I’m telling you. You work here. She persisted in her obstinate behavior. So I called from my cell phone right in front of her to the number. The system disconnected me. I asked her to try, and again she acted like she was too good to do her job. This was just a tiny, tiny taste of the awful rude behavior of Kristina at the front desk. The maintenance guy, Alfredo, was always friendly. It did take like a month to fix my ice maker, but he was at least customer service oriented. Inside the apartment, bugs! Yes, bugs. I love very cleanly, and I was invaded by beetles, roaches, and sometimes lizards. The roaches, though, were huge and disgusting! It’s the one thing that I cannot tolerate. Parking sometimes was quite competitive. Depending on the schedule, I often had to park two buildings away. My upstairs neighbor was arrested for some type of domestic dispute. She was in an altercation with whoever, the cops were called, and they drug her out screaming. It was quite the drama. I expect quiet, clean, top notch apartments. This place has roaches, EXTREMELYRUDESTAFF, and hooligans. Epic fail for Valley Ranch. Again, the property manager, whose name I forget, was cute and friendly. And the maintenance guy was cool. Roaches! Rude Kristina!

Great place to live! Good experience when applying, Kristina really helped out a lot! No noise issues, pretty good neighbors, good location for young families. Wish they had 3 bdrms, but that is my only«complaint». Lived here about a year and about to resign to stay another year!

I do not recommend living here. There are several better options in the surrounding area. Incompetent management /maintenance staff. Poorly maintained buildings. Price gouging on move-out.

I am going to make this short and sweet; Don’t move here. Not what I expected from a property located in wonderful Valley Ranch. Old, warn down, outdated, dirty property grounds. Management did an OK job with handling our issues in a «timely» matter, however, from the beginning to the end of our 1 year lease contract, we had nothing but issues: leaks, German cockroaches(YES!), things breaking because when they are fixed, they are done poorly… And that alone is something no tenant wants to deal with. My opinion. the prices may be good, but consider paying a bit extra(if possible) for a better property and skip this place. You definitely get what you pay for. So happy we are officially dun-zo with that place!

I lived there for a year just recently moved downtown. If I wasn’t moving in with my boyfriend I would have renewed my lease. I loved the spaciousness of their larger one bedroom and the price was pretty decent as well. I really liked the old leasing girl Kyra but Bree the manager was always friendly and helpful. Great place for dogs but I feel like the over water a bit and was recently worried about mosquitoes. Parking was never an issue for me and I loved my HUGE patio. I had a tree right outside my patio and it was very pleasant plus TONS of huge windows. I will say the first apartment I was in was on the garden level and I wouldn’t recommend that unless you don’t want to use your patio.

i lived here for a year. i had a pleasant experience for the most part. it pretty spacious; about 750sf for around $ 700. the balcony was nice too. also, i always had a parking spot(uncovered), so no need to fight for one. premises were usually kept clean and well lit at nite. it’s close to sonic too! i rarely talked to the personnel, so i can’t comment there. the main building looks nice on the outside, attractive to the eye. and the cluster of apartment buildings look more pleasing, compared to the other ones down the street. the walls are pretty thin, and the insulation could be waay better. i’d hear people walking upstairs, or talking in the apartment next door. i was in a spot about 100′ from macarthur blvd, and you can def hear the street traffic. kitchen is a little tight, but i made use of it just fine. there’s no microwave– which was a pain. the freezer didn’t have an icemaker. it should have included one. the pool is decent, separate building for laundry wasn’t too far away. kinda surprised the amount of machines though, there’s a lot of tennants in this complex. if i was going to live in tx again, which i won’t, i’d consider this complex if i worked in the area. a-ok because i wouldn’t consider myself a fan.
