Had a Texas Burger to initiate my first time here. It blasted me through the roof(excellent!)! The burger was loaded with flavor: cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce, well done burger, onions, onion rings, lettuce and tomato. Sweet potato on the side with pickles complete the ensemble. It was awesome! Next, I will try their Rueben sandwich!

So today is St Patricks Day so my husband & I are looking for a place to enjoy some traditional corn beef and cabbage. What better place than Lily Flanagans we think. Boy were we WRONG!!! The food was worse than disappointing, it was down right disgusting. The corned beef came with carrots, cabbage and potatoes. Immediately I notice the carrots are looking dry and shriveled. The corned beef looked like it was sitting out for hours. The beef was dry and cold, the carrots were hard as rocks and not even cooked. The cabbage and potatoes also cold. They didn’t eve try to make it presentable. A woman at the next table also complained. We told our waitress who by the way was very nice. She took the dish back and 5 minutes late comes back with another dish. I could have sworn it was the same dish but she swore the first dish was dumped out in the garbage. It was more of the same. Cold and dry. I had shepards pie that was just Okay. I’ve had better at a diner. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. You would have thought with a name like Lily Flanagan, we would have had the best meal but it was the worst I’ve ever had.

The food was terrible. The garden salad had rotten tomatoes on it. The iced tea tasted like burned toast. My companion had the sherpard’s pie which used a very cheap grade of chopped beef so it was like dog food. She said it had a gamey flavor. I ordered a steak sandwich which had beef so tough it could not be pulled apart much less bitten into. The service was slow because she was waitress and bartender. She did have about 10 people at the bar and 4 tables. She said nothing when she saw our meals were not eaten. I would never recommend this place.

Great place to meet up with friends for a night of drinking and dancing. Always a fresh crop of young singles too. The food is very good pub fare and the bartenders are genuinely nice for the most part. The only major problem I’ve found after going here for more than 10 years are the doormen/bouncers. They have very little patience and talking to someone about a problem is usually after they’ve been kicked out, roughed up or humiliated. Most are just big meatheads who obviously got the job because of their size and not their ability to deal with people. So go have fun, but beware.

Love this spot. Sunday brunch is always nice and charming. Quiet. Great food no matter time of day.

This ought to sum up my impression of this place: I went up to the bar and ordered two glasses of SODA. You know, the cheapest beverage next to water? This bartender proceeds to fill the first glass all the way to the rim with ice, then adds soda. I said, «Excuse me, could you please go light on the ice? That’s too much.» He then dumps the ice, adds a little ice to two glasses and pours the soda. He hands me the glasses and I immediately see that there is about a three inch gap from the soda to the top of each glass. He sees my face and rudely says, «Well, you don’t get more product just because you want less ice!» I said, «Are you kidding me? It’s Fking SODA! Good thing I didn’t order liquor!» So yeah, that about sums it up. And they do serve alcoholic drinks in small plastic cups. THISPLACESUCKS!

A typical Irish bar, but make sure to try their Corned Beef sandwiches sometime. They’re really head and shoulders above any other local Corned Beef in taste. Wish I had the recipe! The Hamburger stuffed with Bleu Cheese isn’t half bad either. Nice and charred.

I came here with Sheon B on a summer evening. and to my surprise, actually had a nice time. The beers on tap were nice and cold, the staff and crowd were laid back, and the bar fare was pretty good(although the nachos we ordered came with a really bright lookin’ cheese [Velveeta?]). The bar sets up some nice local events and there is even an outdoor area on the eastern side of the bar for you to enjoy the evening breeze.

We wondered in to Lily Flanagan’s while waiting for another event to start elsewhere. Our experience here was a good one. We ordered a few beers on tap and we were served promptly. Our bartender was friendly and the beers on tap were pretty good. The nachos that we ordered for appetizer was decent. Lily Flanagan’s seems to be an excellent sports pub and they do offer various weekday and weekend specials. If I were a local I would frequent Lily Flanagan’s. Enjoy your drink!

This is a go to spot at night in the winter and fall, during the summer time however you’ll be hard pressed to find this local spot packed since everyone is either in the city or Fire Island. Ive been here for lunch many times and haven’t been let down yet they make a mean burger one of the better pub burgers I’ve had. The Bartenders on the other hand other then Tony are prolly some of the slowest and worst mix drink makers you’ll find. Unless I see Tony behind one of the bars I refuse to have anything but a beer here.

I have a hard time rating bars. This place is cool… Prefer it over the babylon location which has a cover and a dress code Great sunday football specials so its a big plus for anyone who is looking for a sports bar. All you can drink for $ 20…sure its chaos but 20!

This is my neighborhood spot. Always something going on and some kind of special. Friday nights $ 20 open bar from 11 – 1 and it gets very crowded. Recently they revamped their food menu and it is much improved. Reasonable prices on food as well.

Went here the other night, left very pleased. There was a $ 5 cover, but there was free coat check which was nice. Pretty big place, the downstairs area has a bar with a dj and dance floor, then you go up some steps and theres another bar with tables all around to sit at. It was perfect place to go if you have a group of friends where some want to dance and some don’t(or if you can’t decide what type of mood your in). Some of my friends who wanted to dance did while the rest of us just got drinks and sat at a table. They do a good job of balancing between 2 types of bars, a laid back one with tables and a more club type with DJ and dance floor.

$ 5 cover charge is a bit ridiculous for a pub, as is having valet parking at this type of place, as is serving drinks in small plastic cups.

Well continuing my Long Island bar hop we stopped here. Sigh. I was disappointed. It had the Lily Flangan’s name. It had the Irish attempt. It was just a sad excuse for a so-called Irish Pub. And maybe that’s how they make their money but fine– change your name or your theme. $ 5 cover. I thought I was over those days by now. Staff: Excellent. They were receptive, quick, understanding, handled my tab very well. Also humorous at the terribly loud music blasting– get into it later. Drinks: Below Average. I can’t seem to endorse a bar that serves drinks in plastic cups. I understand that people break glasses and it’s the nature of the bar/club/dance club. But being a bartender myself– they get lots and lots of promotional glasses if that was their worry. So basically it’s a saving money ploy with small plastic cups. Very unprofessional. Entertainment: If the DJ was stuck on his own island with a ton of 40 and over women he would have won their hearts. Most of the time I turned around to hear splashes of «Girls Just Want To Have Fun» and it was just painful. The Layout: Good. It had a front bar with some tables– no one was sitting there though because you could not hear a thing unless you were in the other persons face. The middle is a dance floor littered with the usual suspects– creepy. The platform above that had another bar with didn’t have tables but also was impossible to hold a conversation because of the music. The outdoor patio is a nice touch– they need to upgrade on those ratty looking Red Bull tables from about 5 years ago but this was the highlight of the night. Unfortunately again there was no outdoor drinks. I enjoyed myself. Most likely because I drank myself into a state in which I could block out the music and finally loosened up to the crowd BUT normal night– this is not a go-to bar for me. It’s not even a second tier bar. It’s not even a third tier. I’ll go back to Mary Carroll’s first.

The drinks are okay, but the crowd is not my cup of tea. I like smaller, quieter, more intimate places.
