Tiny little family owned bakery in Front Street… a blink and you’ll miss it kind of place. It’s a great place to get breads and loaves, but if you’re looking for a beautifully decorated dessert created by someone who went to pastry school then you’re out of luck. Everything’s very basic, rounds of soft breads with different flavors, sticky buns, cookies, and brownies. I’m really not fond of basic desserts like just a chocolate chip cookie so it’s not my kind of place, but everything tastes on point. I really don’t have the biggest sweet tooth so if I’m going to eat a dessert, I want it to be the best one ever with complex flavors and a little something extra. Their bread is where they really excel though! No preservatives or anything, so if you buy one then MAKESURE you refrigerate it. Assuming you have anything left. I have a big love affair with their jalapeño bread so if you can take the heat then get it.

I love this bakery. Their Gruyère cheese bread is amazing, as is their pugliese, rye sourdough, and Swiss mice. Their pies have the perfect crust with whatever filling you could want. A lot of their recipes substitute gluten free or even vegan ingredients.

Nice bakery, nice staff and cute décor. I had the soup at the location in Issaquah and it was good. They had Salmon Days cookies which were nice.

Stopped in the store last week. The store interior was charming and the staff was very friendly. They had a variety of goods available(mid Saturday afternoon). The pumpkin spice bread that was available for sampling was very moist and tasty. Their zucchini bread was one of the best that I’ve had recently! It had the right balance of moisture without being too dense or feeling soggy and was well spiced. We also tried a variety of cookies and enjoyed all of them thoroughly. Overall, we enjoyed everything that we bought. The hardest part was convincing ourselves that didn’t need to buy 1(or more) of everything in the store. We’ll definitely be going back.

Bought a pecan pie for Thanksgiving. Worst piece of pie we’ve ever had. Could not cut the crust;, the pie was not eatable. Should have stuck with Costco.

First off, I totally agree with the other reviewers who stated that Issaquah needs a «good» bakery. I’ll go you one further, Issaquah needs a GREAT bakery! Those who have lived here for years, know that there used to be a great bakery at Gilman Village(in the since pretty much abandoned brick bdg. in front). Run out because of lease raises and ever since… empty – go figure. Anyway, I digress. Issaquah should have a true artisan bakery. Ditto, a couple of bistros that have actual artisan chefs. For the life of me, I have no idea why we aren’t rife with competition for the very cultured and affluent folks in this area. Even more importantly, who the heck wouldn’t want to live with a view of Squak, Cougar, and Tiger Mtns?!? Okay, on to Forest Fairy. These folks have a great attitude and that’s what won them those measly two stars(it would have been one). The baked goods are pedestrian at best, perhaps a half step above what you might expect from the local Safeway Bakery. They most certainly try hard, but they just don’t have the baking chops to deliver the kind of baked good a VERY affluent and HIGHLY educated Issaquah/Sammamish area both deserves and will support. Underwhelming is the word that I’d use and, if like me, you’re trying to stay in shape, you know how dear our waistline investment is to the quality ratio. If you’ve been to Macrina, Nielsen’s, or the Dahlia Lounge Bakeries, you know exactly what I’m talking about here. If not, I urge you to take a run into Seattle some day and try out some baked goods that are transcendent. Unfortunately, Forest Fairy, like Confetti Cupcakes, falls far short of the best the region has to offer and, frankly, Issaquah deserves a whole lot better.

Have had their baked goods at local farmers markets and quite honestly, the goods tasted old. The cookies tasted like they were baked days before and the cheese bread while tasty to some degree seemed a bit on the stale side of things. Doesn’t take like it was just baked that day and brought to market.

Stopped in today with the kiddo’s because we’ve been wanting to try the new bakery in town. The shop itself is decorated nicely and has some great touches like the mural on the wall and the fantastic wood bench/shelf, etc. We all loved the fact that almost every item sold has a regular sized version and a «fairy sized» version. Perfect for when you just want that sweet little treat(but not too many calories) or have a little someone with you. Also perfect for your doll, should you happen to have one who goes everywhere with your little someone. The carrot cake had a nice gingery flavor and we liked the texture and taste of the chocolate chip cookies. They had a table of day old items at a special price, so we picked up some fairy brownies that had salted caramel on the top. YUM! This is a place you go to pick something up and not necessarily to eat it there. They’re just getting started though, so I have high hopes that things will progress nicely as they gain momentum and customers, especially with all the other new eateries going in on Front street. The lady who helped us was very personable. We’ll be back.

We need a bakery in Issaquah! First visit: Very bad. Challah dry and stale. Cookies dry and stale. Brownie ok. Cupcake ok. Very disappointed. I’ll try again, they deserve a second chance, and update then. But seriously, not one thing we bought was delicious or fresh.

Lots of nice treats, frosted cookies and really good cinnamon rolls. The cheese breads are really good too. They’ve been around a bunch of local farmer’s markets for a while but this is their new permanent retail space with the bakery in the back. Really cute mural on the wall but there isn’t much of sitting area. This is more of a buy to go place and definitely not somewhere you could camp out and work.

I love the Forest Fairy Bakery. They make the best jalapeño bread! I’m so excited that they have a storefront in Issaquah. Now I don’t have to wait for the North Bend Farmer’s Market to indulge.

OMG! These guys are awesome! I spotted them first at the Kirkland Wednesday Market. I saw the owner’s son’s girlfriend at the booth wearing fairy wings! That was my cue to go see what was going on. And what I found did not disappoint! They had an amazing selection of breads, and cookies and cupcakes. It was pure fairy heaven! I didn’t buy anything that time but I did recruit them to come sell at my show, I Heart Rummage. They agreed, and they were an instant hit! At the show I bought about $ 30 worth of snacky goodies to take home. Even my husband was raving about how amazing the Pumpkin Spice Cake tasted. And I found my absolute new favorite: Chocolate Zuccini Cake. This is the most devilishly delicious cake ever! I hope they come to IHR every month, then we can share their fabulousness with everyone else!

Wonderful bread, cookies, and cupcakes that we came across at the opening day of the Auburn Farmers Market. I hope they come back! the carrot cake was spicy and the chocolate cupcakes featured a German chocolate style cake and a sugary milk chocolate frosting. Nice clam shell packaging got out tender finds home safe! All natural, all moist, all good :-)!
