As a place that offers wifi and encourages people to come in to do work and have a drink, I find it extremely irrational to design a place with such low accessibility to plugs. Starbucks, of all companies, has truly adapted the newest technologies with their app and marketed themselves as a modern coffee company that I am a frequent user of, you would think their store would support plugs for technologies such as iPads, laptops, and computers – especially considering their target market. Furthermore, this location is right in the heart of college town populated by professors and students of Cornell University, to have a shop that doesn’t give customers access to plugs makes no sense. I had my cord stretched to the nearest plug and was told by an employee I was not allowed to have it across the floor. Then why don’t you have accessible plugs?! I am a frequent Starbucks customer and am seriously irritated by my experience today.

It’s exactly what you would expect from a Starbucks. Nothing special really. I would recommend trying put the local shops that are way more popular: Collegetown Bagels(CTB) and Stella’s. CTB is across the college avenue on the far left(towards Cornell) if you are not from Ithaca, def try that one instead

The tall skinny barista with clear glasses(I forget to asked his name because I dont think he will make this kind of drink to me), he brew me expensive 5 dollar venti opera chai tea for me for his evening shift with very flat latte, too flat, no taste, can not drink and not worth my 5 dollar for this drink and I am very disappointed. I would better brew the gallon milk my own and added some tea bag instead for the better taste and better quality of drink. Another day, they added too much ice cubes for my cold drink to save cost and I don’t think that’s appropriate for the expensive starbucks drinks. That’s not really honest to any customer to do that. Some barista, I asked for just ice tea, and they served me the different more expensive ice tea just for would like to rise the price. That’s how I served lately from this location. You just careful as your sake. ps. I added 1 more star because 1 staffs(the high note voice guy) let me borrowed the phone on Sunday in early of April for the very important and very emergency case. How nice! And thank you, appreciated!

The cashiers are always pleasant and accommodating. The coffee is sometimes burnt. Otherwise, great place!

This Starbucks store is the best I have experienced. The staff are very friendly, efficient and typically young. The quality is also better than most stores I have experienced. Although I am a huge fan of CTB, I usually get my food from CTB but go to this Starbucks store for my coffee or tea. The ambiance is great for studying and fits the fact that it is in walking distance to the Cornell campus.

I don’t ordinarily review massive chains, but I just need to point out that this location is by far the most consistently slow Starbucks I’ve ever been to in the entire world. I’ve been here several times over the past year and even if no one is in front of you in line, expect to wait forever for your drink. On several occasions, I would be first in line but would have to wait five minutes just to order because the cashier was too busy chatting with other baristas to serve customers at all. Good luck when the line goes out the door. Back home, I went to those frappuccino happy hours all the time. Those lines would go out the door and around the block. Even those lines are faster than going to this Starbucks location for a regular drink at non-peak hours. Go across the street to CTB where you don’t have to wait a century for a cup of coffee.

Let me start by saying I am a jaded, bitchy local who has lived in Ithaca for my entire existence. I generally have a lot to complain about if you want to talk about Cornell and Ithaca College students. Like how I can’t understand how you can be so intelligent that you get into an Ivy League school, but are not smart enough to look both ways before you walk directly into moving traffic. That being said, I didn’t really want to go into this particular Starbucks in the heart of Collegetown for fear I would be surrounded by pretentious a-holes wearing earbuds and pajama bottoms while eyeing my grown-up outfit and pegging me for the old lady that I am. But I needed that stupid Pumpkin Latte really badly, and there was a blasted parking spot right in front of the building on College Ave! RIGHTINFRONTOFTHEBUILDING! And with time left in the meter, to boot! Starbucks is Starbucks, yes… but the line moved fast, and the girls behind the counter were super friendly which seems to be a dead practice in customer service these days. Thank you, baristas — for being cheery as all hell. Truly. And for offering whipped cream when it was totally unnecessary. Taking one star off because my name was wrong on the cup — but hell, that’s why I usually lie and give a fake name anyway.

The people who work at this Starbucks are friendly and cheerful, and this is basically the main difference between this Starbucks and other ones that I’ve been to. The usual coffee and Americanos that I order are pretty mediocre(and sometimes downright nasty …), but it’s cheap and I put up with it when I need the free wifi that Stella’s across the street doesn’t provide. I’m a fan of their strawberry smoothies because it doesn’t taste fake. As far as I can tell they don’t put additional sugar or flavoring in it. Warning: this place is typically full of students hogging the available chairs, tables, and power outlets – me being one of these. But if you can find a place to sit, it’s a nice atmosphere to work in.

BEST Starbucks I’ve ever visited in terms of customer service. Hands down. Also: free wifi and comfortable seating. I only wish it was larger and perhaps two stories.

Nothing is better than a Starbucks full of studying college students. This place was remarkably quiet(everyone’s glued to their computers and has their earbuds in), but for those who were talking, there were actually some fun conversations going on. I liked the staff, most of whom are also college-y age. They move the line well, are pleasant if you’re pleasant to them, and just make for another good Starbucks experience.
