Myung Dong Barber Shop

I used to go to a Korean barber in Sunnyside who cut really well, but having recently moved to Forest Hills I’ve had trouble finding a barber who can cut asian men’s hair well, until now. Myung Dong or Bön Hair Salon (this is the name on the sign) is a minute walk from the north west exit of Roosevelt Jackson Heights subway stop. Enter, walk up to the second floor, and you will see the entrance to the right.
The salon is bright, well lit and well maintained with 4 barber seats, 2 stylists (on Wednesday afternoon), and a comfy couch for guests and customers to wait. I was immediately seated and the stylist intuitively knew how to cut my hair, the esoteric asian cut. I just asked her to trim and cut neatly and she did a fantastic job!
Total cut + wash + gel style = $ 17. I totally recommend this Salon for asian men in the area who do not want to travel to Flushing or Chinatown.
