Baymont Inn And Suites Jackson

This was a horrible experience. When I booked it they knew I was traveling with a young child. Upon checking in the lobby stunk of weed, smacked you in the face. I question whether the front desk man was smoking. I was placed in a room that had not been properly cleaned. There was trash on the floor and rings in the toilet and tub. The AC barely worked. I was also booked in an adjoining room. At 3 am my neighbors came stumbling in and even with numerous calls to the front they did not stop the incessant loud noise and slamming doors until 5 am. I had to get up at 8 am to continue my travels. When asked how my stay was and I explained why it was so horrible, all that was said is that they would offer $ 5 off my NEXT stay. I laughed and left. Never again!

This hotel is convenient to I-​55 and most of Jackson and Ridgeland, but is one of the dirtiest hotels I’ve seen. The hallways and rooms smelled bad, wallpaper was peeling from the walls, and the trash had not been emptied prior to my arrival. In fact, a liner was draped over the side of the trash can as an afterthought and there was trash in it. The bathroom trash can was in similar condition. The shower was dirty, and there was mold and soap scum all over the shower door. Sheets were threadbare, and there was no bed cover, only a sheet and a worn out blanket. Pillows were small, hard, and uncomfortable. I can only imagine how long it had been since the pillow cases were lady changed.
The hallways were noisy. People coming and going echoed up and down the hallway, and neighbors entering their rooms sounded like they were about to come into mine due to the echoes.
Hallway carpets were scuffed and dirty, and the floors in the elevators were extremely dirty. The entire facility was disgusting!
You usually get what you pay for, but even at a slight discount that is debatable here. At least the desk staff was friendly.

Nasty old stinky
When I came in lady had and attitude, she start telling me about 25.00 in advance for damages. She gave me a room in the third floor when I came in room was very big, but it had a lot of stains on the bed and carpet.
T.v was located under the bed so if you want to watch tv your feet will be on the way.
When I wanted to take a shower I was discussed by how nasty it was mildew outside of shower wall paper unglued, they recently caulk vanity and missed a lot of places.
The shower pan was stained and nasty like they had never ever cleaned!!!
I got dressed and got out of there!
When I told lady how I felt she was very nice and personally look for another room, again in the third floor, every room had a nasty shower (all rooms on the third floor) she was ashamed I feel and let me check out!
I told her I can come and show her how to scrub the floor!!!
Go to the Fairfield Marriot cleaner and is next door!

We stopped on a road trip and stumbled upon Baymont Inn. We LOVED it! Baymont Inn was affordable (which is what we were primarily looking for) but also VERY customer friendly. We got there very late in the night but they accommodated us and they were very helpful. The customer service was phenomenal from the time we walked in without a reservation to the moment we checked out. They also have a very good complimentary breakfast and VERY clean rooms. I am super picky when it comes to the cleanliness of hotel/​motel rooms and I can say this room was spotless. I would recommend them to anyone!

Great value for this area! The breakfast was warm and good. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean. I’ve stayed at other hotels in Jackson and paid more and the experience was worse. I would stay here again. Plus, 24 he IHOP next door! Win-​Win

Booked room through Hotwire at $ 45/​night. Only one person working front desk and she was swamped. Room was dirty. Visible dust on all surfaces and bathroom floor was dirty. Woman at desk was pleasant and accommodating with requested room change. Second room was as tired as first and both rooms didn’t have blankets. First time I have ever been to a hotel with only sheets on bed. Overall hotel was old and tired. Time for a remodeling. Maybe rooms close busy interstates are all this way.

Got a rate of $ 53 + tax for staying 3 nights on Wyndham website (about $ 60 w/​tax). Normal rate is around $ 68 + tax. I enjoyed my three days there. Room 114 was updated, very spacious, and very clean (king bed). Bathroom was nice: ceramic tile, nice shower and shower head, good water pressure for a hot shower. A/​C worked well and you can set thermostat for desired temp. Flat screen TV on dresser. Bed was comfortable. The pillows were good, although shorter, like a square. Has fridge, microwave, kitchen sink, and cabinets. Nice lobby. Free breakfast was ok… had waffle maker. Fitness room. Outdoor pool was small and looked disgusting though (October). There are hotels nearby for $ 40, like Motel 6, but I’m happy with the extra money spent here. They also have a security guard patrolling the parking lot at night, but the place is quiet. You can’t hear the traffic from the room even though you’re right off the interstate. Mama Hamil’s is the place to eat for fried chicken /​southern buffet!!! It’s about 15 minutes north.

The phone in our room didn’t work and nobody would bother to come and look at it. Other than that, it’s an OK place to stay, a little pricey given it’s location in north jackson. Also, don’t ever eat at the Chili’s across the street… horrible service and even worse food prep!

We received a rate of 53 plus tax for this hotel. The location is very convenient along I-​55 with easy off/​on access. Parking is well lit. Internet was VERY SLOW.
The shower was great with a shower head that actually is tall enough for an average person (and in this case a tall person) and spacious.
But the issue is that the room was not clean. Front staff refused to fix the issue or give a credit and we were too tired. There were objects on the floor (open large safety pin, hair ball, etc.), a dirty pillowcase and we weren’t sure the sheets were clean as we both itched a lot. Before we left I noticed that a housekeeper cleaned the empty room across the hall in under 10 minutes. The rates are low as they are not really cleaning these rooms.
