City Buffet

Don’t be fooled by this place. It’s just China One/​Jumbo Buffet in a new location. I never liked the food there or here. The General Tso“s chicken was once watered down with what tasted to be ketchup. There are better alternatives in town.

8.00 dinner buffet, cant go wrong. Food was good!

APPEARANCE: The place was in rough shape. It used to be a Ponderosa. I don’t know how long its been a buffet, but it looks very old and outdated, esp the décor.
WAITRESS: Not much interaction, but at a buffet there isn’t much.
FOOD: Superb! Better than some of the buffet’s in town. I had a wide variety of Chinese and it was all up to par. It is an hour away from home, and I stopped there because I was passing through to meet a friend. Its not something I would make a special trip for, but it was defintely good. Selection was good as well.
OTHER: If you can get pass the poor décor, this buffet is very good.

Had to make a trip outside of Jackson and decided to check this place out. We were looking for a buffet and this came up in the list. The place is located right off the highway. The food is hot and the place is busy. My kids are picky eaters and they seemed to find something that they liked. I tried a couple of their items (not big on Oriental food), but I had their sweet&sour chicken, crab Rangoon and egg drop soup; all delicious! I especially like that they had several choices of blue bonnet ice-​cream! The price is very reasonable.
Oh, also the service is great!

The staff is a little brash and unorthodox in how they treat their customers but not necessarily in a bad way. If you’re not one for at times awkward interactions, you might look elsewhere. However if you don’t mind the small cultural differences this place is a great Buffet.
My biggest complaint is that sometimes the food sits to long before they bring new dishes out, but during peak hours this is not an issue and it is rotated regularly.
The sushi at dinner is a must have.

Just opened a few months ago. The food is fresh and hot. Typical buffet items. All have tasted very wholesome and good, but nothing remarkable.
