Zen has become my favorite restaurant!!! Some business partners ate here, saw the sign from the interstate and decided to try it. My family and I have eaten take out here 7x in the last 3 weeks. Yes 7x, it is just that great! My favorite is the vegetable fried rice! Absolutely wonderful! Very clean and beautiful inside.

The food was very good. Our host/​chef was not especially entertaining compared to other chefs. I found myself watching them instead of ours. (I hate the buffet style) I love hibachi style dining and sushi bar. I’m not from Jackson but I’m glad they got a real hibachi style restaurant since I do live here now. The salad and soup were delicious. My scallops were cooked perfectly and the rice and veggies were very good. Will definitely go back.

Good sushi, I was pleasantly surprised. Having previously spent a lot of time on the west coast I’m kind of a sushi snob. I honestly didn’t expect much from a place in Jackson, TN, but the sushi was very fresh and well executed. Service was quick and attentive, prices were reasonable. Yellowtail nigiri was buttery and perfectly done.
My only little issues are probably regional more than specific to this restaurant. Didn’t have much in the way of Japanese beers or sake. Didn’t have green tea ice cream which I adore.
Overall I was impressed and I’ll definitely be back.

AMAZING! We picked the Hibachi this past tuesday and it was delicious. We are coming back this coming week to try the sushi. This may become a tuesday night tradition.

I’m used to going to a buffet for Chinese food. But my family and I decided to try something new. We seen Zen on a commercial and decided to check it out. We were greeted upon entrance and sat quickly.
We we’re offered regular seating or seating at the Hibachi table. My kids and I wanted the hibachi table. The food was awesome. Huge servings and awesome service from the chef and the waitstaff.
I had never been to a hibachi table before. The bar style seating at the table took some getting use to but it was worth it.
I brought my 6 and 8 year old with me and they had a blast. It was a great experience and I will return.

My first time to visit. Each one in our group enjoyed their order. One ordered the Hawaiian sushi roll which was an excellent choice. The Hibachi chicken was tasty. Those who are vegetarians the Hibachi vegetables were very good! We all will be back soon! So glad to see this restaurant in Jackson!

Food is fresh and reasonably priced. Decorations are nice, bathroom vanity is beautiful (except maybe hide the pipes). Pretty much expected from a brand new restaurant. I hope they continue to keep it clean and produce the same results. My new spot for Japanese food for sure.

I have a feeling that Zen will be my new go to place for sushi inJackson TN. The restaurant is very nicely decorated, staff is extremely friendly and most importantly the food is delicious. I order the teriyaki beef bento box lunch special which come with white or fried rice, salad, 2 sides of your choice crab Rangoon, onion soup, spring roll, Giza or 4 pieces of californium roll for $ 9.15. The food came fast. This will be my new go to place for lunch. Please support this new business in Jackson TN!
