We’ve used this company for several plumbing projects over the past ten years and have never been disappointed. Recently they totally re-piped our house and their workers were professional, efficient and extremely helpful in resolving some complicated issues. Their equipment is state of the art and the staff exceptional in scoping out a project and making cost-effective, code-compliant recommendations/improvements. Highly recommend this company.

Please think twice before calling david gray plumbing. I have used bill fenwick before; they stand behind their warranty. David gray installed bidet in 2 of my restrooms and a pressure valve 6 months ago. All the parts were purchased from them. Now, 1 of the restroom pressure valve is dripping water. When i called cc, they said parts are warranted for 1 year and labor is not. First they said we did not install the part; spoke to the supervisor and he said«yes, part is covered under warranty, which i see that david gray had installed» Now, comes the ironic part of the situation. They say part is covered under warranty which costs $ 20 at homedepot/lowes(i paid approx $ 50 to DG) but labor to install new part is not. I paid for the labor 6 months ago; if your part cant handle the water pressure, why should i be penalized for it. Where is the warranty? DG is cheating everyone. Any work goes good everybody is happy and good reviews. Job goes bad; customer pays for it. THINKBEFOREUSINGTHEM: Its time for me to call a real plumbing company Thanks

I used this company before with great results but today was different. They charged me an astronomical $ 548 for a plain vanilla, easy to install kitchen spigot. There was nothing complicated about any aspect of it. I’d say call these people if you have a complicated plumbing problem, like a belly; otherwise use someone more reasonable and buy your hardware at Loews or Home Depot for the simpler jobs.

They sent a 2 man crew and only one of them was an experienced plumber and the other guy was new and spent much of the time watching the other guy work. The«experienced» plumber took 4 hours to complete the task that I was told would only take around 2. They kept going outside to smoke. Then they spent 15 minutes cleaning up and 45 minutes in the brand new truck writing up the bill, talking, and smoking cigarettes. I got billed for that entire extra hour at the 2 man crew rate. 5 labor hours total. My bill was almost $ 1000. $ 980 to split 2 water lines and add a drain line(so I could have 2 bathroom sinks instead of 1)(I also had the Sheetrock wall completely opened up so all they had to do was the plumbing.) They replaced 2 toilets with 2 that I had purchased separately, and removed 2 pedestal sinks. I almost had a heart attack. I figured worst case scenario was gonna be $ 600. My theory is this: 1. They have a high overhead.(brand new trucks) 2. The crew leader might get paid by how much he is able to bill. I am financially and emotionally crushed and I am telling EVERYONE not to use their services. I used to be a small business owner and understand they need to make a living but I firmly believe I was overcharged about 2 hours or about $ 350.

Handle broke off my upstairs and tub shooting water EVERYWHERE today. The dispatcher quickly got me a manager(John) on the phone to help me find and shut off my main water valve. He had to step by step walk this girlie girl through opening a cement slab, digging through years of dirt to find a valve. Not to mention the calm he kept while I could pliers and literally move adrenaline to get the valve off. David Gray had my back and I thank them for saving me. GREATCOMPANY!!!

May as well return the favor to fellow Unilocalers and leave this review. I hired David Grey based on Unilocal reviews. The plumber they sent– Frank was first class, said he has worked there for 20 years. The office would not ballpark or give me a rough idea of expected cost, which I understand. Some plumbers have flat rate costs for certain services. In my case the DG hourly rate worked out to half of what others were charging for flat rate service. Happy Flushing!

I wouldn’t recommend them. I called for not having hot water in my shower. Scheduling process was smooth and dispatcher called back when plumber was 30 minutes away. I did a little research and presumed it had to do with corrosion of one of the internal parts. After digging into it, he discovered it was a corroded spool and installed a new one. After putting everything back together informed me of an existing drip and whether I wanted that fixed as well. Really? Don’t you think he would’ve noticed the drip when he started and fixed them both together? I opted to have it fixed as well. After hearing a grinding noise for the next 30 minutes I decided to go in and inquire. He had been filing the inside of one my existing handle because he discovered after installing the replacement part that my handle didn’t fit on the new part. Aain, really? At $ 94 an hour, I don’t think filing for 45 minutes was exactly a good spend of MY money. All said and done, just short of $ 400 he was finished. The part I originally needed I can buy new for $ 30 online. I was charged $ 190 in parts and still have all of the same fixtures. I could’ve purchased a new fixture set and had it installed for less I’m certain. Shame on them for not providing better service and recommendations to their customers.

We discovered a leak out of our garbage disposal at the beginning of the week. Needless to say we weren’t excited about it. We’ve hung cabinets, we’ve replaced pantry shelving, and we’ve fixed a toilet or two. For most, garbage disposal replacement probably isn’t a big job. But for us, it was big enough to know we didn’t want to attempt it ourselves. After doing some research(& some Unilocalsearch), I reached out to David Gray Plumbing on Wednesday. Read some reviews about the different disposals they carried, got my price quotes and made my appointment. They showed up today in a timely manner and were out of the house in just over an hour. They even replaced our p-trap but kept the quoted amount I had gotten through e-mail. We have some more work to do around the house(bathrooms & kitchen remodel). David Gray Plumbing will definitely be on our call sheet when we start looking for quotes.

Faced with a slab leak and the knowledge that further slab leaks could occur even if we fixed this one, we had David Gray Plumbing come out and re-pipe our entire house. Their quote was a bit higher than what we received from some of the other teams who came around to assess the work but we were convinced that they would be faster, more thorough, and take greater care. They completed the work in two full days without a hitch. I would recommend them to anyone needing major plumbing work.
