The best Chinese buffet in Jacksonville. This restaurant has great all you can eat duck and Flounder in Ginger. The Salmon Sushi is also very good. The Lunch which I had was only $ 9.99 which is a great deal. You will not be disappointed.

Horrible! Old dried out food with no taste. Really bad buffet. Not returning. Most reviews were good. My concern is those people were drunk. No offense. Out of all the places I could have eaten… I feel like a sucker.

I eat here often. Their sushi is really good. Especially for a buffet. They have a nice selection of food as well as ice cream. Their prices are a little higher than I like but the food is really good. I wish they would carry General Tso chicken. But I recommend these guys.

Came here with my brother, and daughter to meet up with some extended family. I have never left a Chinese buffet so disappointed before as I did this most recent experience. We ended up paying $ 43 for the three of us for dinner. Which this price does not include tip yet. Came in and were shown where the rest of our party was. The food was all old. I could tell by the crust that had built up around some of the dishes. The items that I would have eaten had one or two left on the buffet and in the whole hour plus that we were there were never refilled and staff avoided us like the plague when we tried to look for someone to bring out a few more donuts or sesame seed balls. The sushi looked so questionable that I avoided it at all cost. The only reason I did give it two stars was because the sushi chef(who had nowhere to hide because he stands behind the sushi counter) made me two sweet sour chicken rolls. I can’t even call it tempura chicken because they are made with sweet sour chicken. The only other thing that was worth eating was from their Mongolian –Create your own plate– grill. That was at least tasty. After we left we just hoped for the best that we wouldn’t get sick. While I understand that their dinner price is steep because of the crab legs they offer, it’s not worth it at all if you don’t eat these like me or my brother.

We have Recently moved to the area & have been looking for an all you can eat crab leg restaurant. Found it! The crab legs were perfect & we definitely got our money’s worth. Personally, I don’t like Chinese food on a buffet… So I can’t vouch for that. But if you are looking for crab legs, you’ve found a great spot here at Osaka.

Perfectly fine, not great but fine. Place is dated, food is tasty. Something for everyone. Not cheap for a buffet $ 15 or so for adults(11 years old and up). Come hungry without big expectations. Sushi and seafood is fresh but of average quality, the prepared food is at the level of take out.

Went to this place on Valentine’s Day and apparently a lot of other people had the same idea. A Chinese buffet is not supposed to be fine dining so this one certainly did not disappoint in that fashion. What you see when you walk in the door is tables full of people with their plates piled high from discarded broken crab leg shells. You would think that they weren’t going to have anymore the way some people piled their plates up with those things. No mind you there is a line to get the crab legs when it’s that crowded and they really couldn’t keep the bin full. They did their best bringing out a new batch every five minutes or so. Did not try the Mongolian section where you pick your own and they cook it for you. I tried several varieties of sushi and other than being very heavy on the rice it was decent. It was so crowded than nothing set out for more than a few minutes. The egg drop soup was good, the crab legs were very flavorful, the sautéed shrimp dish with onions and peppers I don’t know the name of it but it was surprisingly tasty it was much like Scampi. I didn’t try the ice cream at there were like eight buckets of it. The desserts are all those same ones that they have everywhere that I’m sure come in frozen but they had this pink strawberry flavored cake with this gelatinous, very thin glaze over the top it looked like it was going to be terrible but it was really pretty good. The pepper steak was so chewy that I couldn’t chew it and had to spit it out it was like eating a shoe. Tasty shoe, but still a shoe. I have been here several times in the past both at lunch and it dinner and I can’t say that it was ever bad. Are some really bad Chinese buffets in Jacksonville but this is definitely not one of them. As long as you go when it’s busy so that the food is turned over very quickly you’re getting at least the same quality that you would get any Chinese takeout. I did not visit the restrooms but the floor was pretty clean and despite the chaos the workers smiled and passed by regularly.

I’m a frequent visitor to Osaka partaking lunch and dinner with family for 9 years. Though not a Sushi aficionado I’m an avid Chinese/Mongolian Grill eater. The food has always been fresh, the chafing trays filled full, food always piping hot and buffet areas kept spotless. Have never been disappointed. Expect large Asian & Philippino families on weekends so you know the food’s good. Large crowd for Crab Legs, can get ridiculous folks hogging ALL the legs when the bring the out. Really unsure of negative Unilocal complainers and the underlying reason. I’m a Gourmand, know food preparation and my way around the kitchen and have never seen anything to complain about. Enjoy the restaurant.

Sushi selection was good, on par with the best I’ve seen in Jacksonville, but that’s the only redeeming quality. Main entrée selection is pretty limited. There was beef broccoli, chicken broccoli, pepper steak, sesame chicken, and a few fish dishes, and that was about it. Lacked a lot of what I would consider to be the essentials/staples of American-Asian food, like General Tso’s chicken, Teriyaki chicken, etc. The meats that were available tasted very overcooked; they were rubbery, there wasn’t any of the«stringy» texture you find in real meat. It was like eating tofu. Fried rice was bland. Lo Mein was decent but a little greasy. Steamed white rice was available in a rice cooker, that was a nice touch. The sautéed mushrooms were good but very salty, had to mix them with the white rice to even it out. The«appetizer» type food(dumplings, wontons, egg rolls) was pretty standard. I went for dinner and my total bill was $ 17.11 after tax. Given that a buffet of this quality is usually more like $ 10, I asked the manager about the price. They said the dinner buffet included crab legs and those are a premium item. At most buffets they are a separate up-charge since not everyone will eat them(as I did not) but here you don’t have a choice. Service was okay. Got two refills on my drink but sometimes it took a while for my empty plates to be cleared. The place wasn’t very busy, so I’d hate to see what it would be like during a rush. All in all not worth a stop. If you’re craving this kind of food and experience I’d recommend Hibachi off Southside. Similar sushi selection, but much better entrée selection, properly cooked meat, more dessert options, and no obligatory crab legs.

I would give this buffet a four star but one major problem I dealt with. 50% of the plates I picked up were not clean!!! There was bits and pieces of left over crab crumbs and dirt or something on the outside of the plates I picked up. Very disgusting. With the clean plates that I could find, the food was pretty good. But I lost my appetite on my discoveries.

My husband and I really enjoy this place. What’s not to like? It’s a great Chinese buffet. I’m not a big Chinese food person, or sushi for that matter. But my husband is so this is a great place for us to come together and we can each have something we enjoy. I like that it’s not limited to just Chinese or just sushi here. They offer a few other varieties as well. Not to mention ice cream and desserts! There is plenty of seating inside and a great big parking lot outside.

It’s good, but the theatrics are the same every time you go to any Japanese Steakhouse ever. Waitresses can be a little slow to fill drinks or pay attention to you if you need them. Sushi is delicious, and of course, is rolled right there in the building. Overall, not a terrible experience. I proposed to my wife here, and if you’ve got enough people, it’s great for groups. If you have less than 8 – 10 people, and want any sort of group privacy, you might as well go somewhere else. They will sit 4 groups at one table.

Really not thrilled with this place. The prices are outrageous and the food mediocre. The sushi looks questionable to the point where I won’t eat it and I’m a huge sushi fan. Some of the food is hot, some of it luke warm. The bathrooms aren’t that clean and the staff looks miserable. We’ve only eaten here because the in laws like it. Not a place that we would come by choice. We aren’t huge eaters, so to get a bill for $ 75 is pretty steep. Especially when the kids maybe eat 1 plate that’s filled halfway and we as adults barely eat much more. Would rather eat at bento café & have better quality food, better service, cleaner environment & a much lower bill.

Chinese buffet with a good selection for dinner. The crab legs and duck are good but only do try it if you like these items I come here a few times when I am in mandarin. Ok is my final score.

Best Chinese/Sushi buffet in town. Great location in a fairly decent neighborhood. Has more than enough parking spaces(under shady old oak trees). Restaurant itself is old and a bit crummy. Restrooms are.well.go poop at home. Service is decent to friendly. I’ve been there so many times(sad, I know), they already know I always drink sweet tea. Price-wise, Osaka is reasonable. $ 15ish. Just don’t bring finicky eaters because you won’t get your money’s worth. Sorry ’bout it. The best part is the selection of the Chinese and sushi buffet lines. They are pretty quick in replacing the trays when it’s running out. Price goes up during dinner hours and weekends. During this time, the snow crab legs, crawfish and sashimi come out. And for about $ 20, it’s a pretty good deal. So put on your sweatpants and come on over to Osaka. Come with friends or come alone. Oh and be sure to use the hand sanitizer near the door.

We have eaten at Osaka Grill Sushi Buffet several times in a span of about 15 years. We have celebrated many friends and family’s birthdays in their private room. Everything I’ve tried tasted fresh and flavorful. It gets an ‘A’ grade. Like the other typical Japanese /Chinese buffet restaurants, Osaka Grill Sushi Buffet has your main entrée buffet tables, hibachi gill, sushi table, and dessert table with similar dishes. The one thing I really liked about this Japanese /Chinese buffet restaurant compared to other buffet joints is that they have crispy duck on their buffet table. Each time I visit, they have it. Awesome! I love duck :)
