K&G Fashion Superstore

I like this store for the affordable prices on work clothing. That’s why the three stars. But today I was a little disappointed.
I had a 20% off coupon and bought three pairs of pants. Upon paying for my merchandise the cashier takes a lint roller and states «you’ll get a lint roller with this» I replied ok. Then she told me the total & I asked «wait a minute am I paying for the lint roller?» She replied «no you don’t, you get it with the coupon» at that point I just swiped my card & completed the purchase.
I get home, look at the receipt & notice I was indeed charged for the lint roller with a discount of $ 1.
Some people may so oh well no biggie but I have three lint rollers, I only agreed to it because I figured hey it’s free why not.
I called the store & asked for the manager & explained to her what transpired, she looked me up by my rewards card & replied «oh yes I see what happened you’re right she should have told you that you were being charged for it, I’ll speak to my cashier thanks for the heads up, you may return it if you want»
I thought to myself well of course I may there’s no policy that says no refund.
I was just a little irritated, I hate to be over charged for something. If I wanted a lint roller I would have purchased one & if they’re supposed to offer customers items they should ask, not tell them it’s free.
I like the store because of the fact that they have nice things I can wear to work & it’s usually not crowded, but now I know I need to be careful and pay more attention at checkout.

When I walked in this store I was amazed at what they had better quality better salesman and the tailor that did my suit he was the best they let me take my time they wasn’t too pushy they didn’t force anything on me that’s why I give this store 5 stars my wife bought a suit in there for her son he loved it and he lives in Trinidad Tobago so that suit went across the continent that’ll tell you something if I ever have time I will be back to buy another suit thank you so much for being kind to me I hope you’ll be around for a long time k & G is the best and it’s not too expensive other stores I won’t mention prices are too high K&G has the best deals keep up the good work it’s a little hard to find because the sign is up in the air try to bring the sign down a little lower cuz I walked past store like twice but I found it keep up the good work you’ll take it thank you. Thank you

After doing some extensive online comparisons. I learned that K&G might be my best option in purchasing affordable, name brand suits. Time was an issue and shopping around forever just wasn’t something I wanted to endure. My local K&G is located in Jamaica Ave. off Parson’s Blvd. next door to the National Amusement multiplex. Not an ideal location for a reputable that sells suit’s but they also sell woman’s fashion and in that instance they may be right where they need to be. Jamaica’s trying to gentrify but it’s no Queens Center Mall, it’s no Green Acres! Anyway the staff is atrocious and non-​attentive with the exception of the bag boy /​security at the main entrance of the store. There was no one helping on the floor, there was no one at the dressing rooms. The only staff around were goofing off at the register. No one there knew what sales were still valid, it took an off duty employee just walking on to a shift to satisfy the transaction process and get the seamstress who was on another floor. Which brings us to the seamstress, Yes Fatima! I’m calling you out! She swore up and down she could get my suits together in just over 48 hours. I doubted her sincerity and asked her again! She again said «Yes» wrote it down on my tickets and went on with my purchased. 55 hours later, she wasn’t done! Using every stall tactic in the book it wasn’t til’ I called for a manager to refund me that she ran down with my merchandise.
The only reason I give this 2 and not a 1 rating is pricing, the prices are truly appreciated. An though the staff blew it on common service they didn’t try to upsell me like Men’s Warehouse and so many other like stores. Next time K&G I shop online!
