Jenkintown Auto Repair

I would give 2.5 stars based on my two visits here. However, I have only gotten oil-​changes and a couple of minor things on both occassions.
They seem ok. But, I am not sure how good they are with other car repair stuff (especially considering the previous review by dch).
they are little pricey. The reason i go here is that they are close-​by.

This place sucks. I had used them several times for inspections and oil changes. Then I made the HUGE mistake of thinking they could handle replacing my breaks on my car that was about 2 years old. They put in breaks that squeaked immediately, broke the undercarriage on the bottom of the car, broke both axles on the car and a cap around the axle. I took the car back about 4 times, each time they rolled their eyes and broke something else. They claimed that I was having these problems because we drove too much on Broad Street and that stopping at so many lights must be screwing up the new brakes (WTF?). They also tried to blame the undercarriage damage on my wife, saying that she must have coincidentally driven over a parking curb the day after they returned the car back to us.
I wanted to use these guys because I live close by and want to help out local businesses. This was a total disaster. Ended up costing me almost $ 2,200 at Elkins Park Auto to fix everything; which they did on the first try.
Stay away. They are only competent enough to change oil.
Very unfriendly to female customers, even though they have a female mechanic (which we though was pretty cool)
I wish I could give them zero stars!
