Great little spot. I’ve passed it for years and finally came on a rainy day. Food was delicious quick and friendly service. Lovely atmosphere :) highly recommend

Went there for brunch today. Favorite foods at the table were the hash with pulled pork and crepes. $ 5 Bloody Mary’s and $ 6 Mimosas. Love the open air tropical feel. Makes you feel like you are on vacation.

My favorite place to eat in Jensen beach. Have eaten here a number of times, and it never disappoints. Super casual, and the best place to go either with your dog(they bring ice water and bacon) or on your way home from the beach. Just seat yourself, sit back, and relax. The owner is lovely, and goes out of his way to chat and hang out with customers. Waitresses are also great. Today we enjoyed some awesome reggae music while eating and it’s one of the few places where you are NOTRUSHED through eating. Food is timed, and you have plenty of time to finish your apps before food comes out. I love the nachos with homemade turkey chili and my son digs the California fries. Husband and son tried the special ribs– fall off the bone, tender and moist. Other son always orders some type of tacos… he loves them. I always get the black bean burger with avocado and grilled onions. Never ever have an order with special orders, and I totally appreciate that. We’ve also tried the hot dogs, and the Hawaiian pork pot. Never disappointed in any of the food. So seriously chill, great food, awesome staff. Can’t go wrong.

If it was an option for no stars I would give it! If you have respect for ANY life of the ocean don’t give this owner your money. I have a friend that scuba dives and found out the owner got bit by a shark one year. So because of this misunderstanding from the shark he has started serving shark to his customers because of his hatred. My buddy tired to raise a fundraiser to take the shark off the restaurants menu but made a big fuss about it. SAVEOURSHARKSANDOUROCEANS!!!

Great looking place good ambiance… those are the high points. The food was sub par bar fare, and overpriced at that ! Nothing remotely Hawaiian about this place… no Poke, no Kailua Pig, no shave ice, no Kona Coffee, or Houpia’s and no Beach. I’m sure they don’t even know what Hawaiian is !

My first time here was last night. Chill & casual environment, food was average nothing to hype over, waiter was overwhelmed, drinks were refreshing & cold. Definitely a great place to come to chill out with friends have a few drinks & apps. This place honestly would not be my first choice though. Has its ups & downs; but I’m glad we’ve tried it out, only took months since we first moved to Jensen!

Wonderful atmosphere even on a rainy day. I had a burger that was cooked to perfection. Mike, our server, was friendly and very helpful. You can feel the passion of the owners, Frank and Jan, and staff. They enjoy what they do.

It is a very cute setup, they have a front bar and a back bar, as well as a patio in the back that looks like you’re tucked away in a jungle. In the back patio area they have the game of corn hole to play, which is a good way to wait for your food. The food was good, no complaints. It is a beachy bar type of place, so you are eating bar food. Can’t complain eating good food and drinking some tropical beach drinks, while playing games. They offer a punch card for every 15 $ or so dollars you spend, so if you’re a local or a frequent visitor, definitely ask for one! They also have a quaint beachy shop with some funny signs, bracelets and clothes. They have plently of parking and it is right across from a set of freight train tracks, but it doesn’t come THAT often, but if you ask me it is kind of cool to watch the train go by!

I was a bit disappointed with this one. The pulled pork was ok and the fries were good. The chicken sandwich wasn’t very good, though, and the coleslaw was very bland. We ordered an IPA each, but it tasted more like a watered down pale ale. The server was very nice. Maybe we just ordered the wrong things!

I wanted this place to be great but very disappointing food for New Years Eve. However, the service was great along with awesome live music. The atmosphere was nice. Don’t order the chicken flatbread or ribs. The flatbread was subpar – undercooked and barely warm. The ribs were not tender and had an odd smoked taste. The meat definitely didn’t fall off the bone. Both my husband and myself had stomach aches all night. Too bad.

We visited here in July and I have been meaning to write a review ever since. We loved it. It’s a place we would’ve driven by if we hadn’t found it on Unilocal. We didn’t expect to find a Hawaiian themed restaurant in Florida. It’s a casual place that seems like it might be fun later in the evening. We had the pineapple fritters as an appetizer. Yum! And the Fantana Banana dessert really hit the spot. The back patio is really tucked away. We felt like we were in a jungle. We would go back.

The food was fine, nothing exceptional. Had one of the day’s specials, smoked ribs. The ribs were good, but the mac and cheese was extra greasy and the cole slaw wasn’t worth eating. Tiki beach ambiance outside under a thatch roof, which would be miserably hot on a summer lunch. Right next to train tracks, no such beach of the name. The staff was very friendly but kept stealing my napkin. Slow to come take a drink order after I sat down. Bad local live music started up half an hour after I sat down, the pox of so many restaurants.

So, it’s been over a year since we’ve visited Kona. I’m sorry to say that our most recent experience was nowhwre near as good as the first. We sat at the back bar and the service was fine, but the food was disappointingly sub par. The ahi tuna tacos were mostly lettuce and white rice with stale tortilla chips and grocery store salsa. The fish and chips were dry, and the fries were just meh. All in all I’m absolutely not impressed. It’s always sad to return to a restaurant you have fond memories of and be presented with lackluster food. But oh well.

Stop and don’t go any further trust me!!! From the moment you walk in you’re greeted with such warm hospitality. Customer service is definitely NOT lacking here. They treat every customer like their number one. I have never been treated with such amazing customer service as I have received from Kona. I am absolutely amazed! I love to eat I’m a foodie and this place has stole my heart. Lizzie was our server and I’m glad she was this California girl was a newbie at Kona but her customer service skills were exceptional she had my friends and I very entertained Way To Go Lizzie! OK I know you’re probably waiting to hear about the food OK well here it is for an appetizer we all enjoyed pineapple fritters. Oh my God it was absolutely delicious I could eat it for days and days. The fritters are definitely something you should try off there menu. We all ordered burgers different ones I had the Monterey burger which came with avocado Monterey Jack and chipotle mayo which was cooked to perfection and all the flavors combined was an explosion of flavor as you bite down. One of the best burgers I’ve had and comes with a side of fries that are cooked just right and not greasy. I asked for a side of honey mustard for dipping my fries of course. The taste of the good honey mustard is hard to fine and there’s only two places that I love their honey mustard and Kona has one of them. It was so good that I had to ask for there recipe. Thank you Kona for the inside scoop on your honey mustard sauce. I can’t wait to return just to eat here once I’m back down in Florida this will be my first stop. so if you’re looking for a great place to eat and a great fun atmosphere this place has it just stop on in.

Friendly, down-to-earth staff, great atmosphere, TERRIFIC food(I had the mahi sandwich and nachos). Excellent choice if you want to avoid tourist traps — this screams«locals come here» without being rude about it. Great place!

I’ve been here twice in the last 3 weeks. The first time had the mahi-mahi fish fry, fantastic! Others had the seared tuna tacos which they raved over. Tonight went back for burgers. My companion had the cheeseburger, I had the Monterrey which had avocado and a chipotle mayo. Both were wonderful, I really appreciated the medium-rare patty which is getting difficult to find. Fries were plentiful and tasty. Why 4 stars? On both nights the music was pretty loud, the first night so loud we couldn’t really carry on a conversation. I was also a little disappointed with the beer list — they had a few decent beers on tap, but not a single IPA was to be found. These days if you have a good bar, you really have to have a decent selection of craft beers, even if in a bottle. Bottom line: I’d definitely recommend this place to others and would return again. We didn’t have a single bad meal, the beer was cold, the entertainment was pleasant even if too loud. I love the ambiance(see photo) — from the time you walk up to the place you know its going to be relaxing and fun.

Fun atmosphere, friendly staff, and great food! Creative drinks, dishes and entertainment. I had a salad with Blackened chicken, fresh cucumbers, tomatoes, dried cranberries and sliced almonds. My dressing was cucumber wasabi and I added hot sauce — part pepper sauce and part jalapeño! I like my spice which blended well with the sweetness. My father had the dinner special which was shrimp and cheesy grits. The sauce was a light creamy cheese sauce that was not to cheesy. The shrimp were plump and fresh. He got a side salad with Asian sesame vinaigrette that was light and tasty. The menu had many options to choose from and I will be back for the pineapple jalapeño burger. I love pineapple and many of the menu options add the mixture of fruit and spice. The drinks are colorful in the two bars or you can chill on the tables in front with your feet in the sand. There’s nightly entertainment and happy hour specials too!

Found this little place with the help of Unilocal. Leaving Stuart, Fl we found ourselves in need of breakfast but it was 11:30am and most beach communities are busy wknds for brunch so we went lunch at the KBC. We were seated right away as it was empty but began filling up around noon. Our waitress was loose a few screws and seemed in la la land. Had the owner not stopped by shared his story of their version of Sonoran Hot Dog(which I ordered, Mexican Pipeline) We would of been very disappointed in the staff. Law ordered the Blue Filet Mignon Tacos(comes with chips and salsa-salsa was out of a jar) which came on flour(wish our waitress would of told us as the owner did when he stopped by that we could of got them on corn. for an AZ girl its hard for me to enjoy flour tortillas in Fl. they SUCK and my taste buds have rubbed off on Law as well as he eats my cooking) The Filet Mignon was cook as we ask Med/Rare the onion and peppers were grilled to have that wonderful charred flavor(wish the taco ended w/those ingredients) The lettuce, tomato, shredded cheese and blue cheese dressing actually took away from the great other parts. If I may suggest to you if you order this item to ask to skip the salad and dressing and instead add fresh crumbled blue cheese and a garlic aioli.(if they dont have it they should) I myself saw something I NEVER order at a restaurant a Hot Dog that called out to me. Guess I have been fantasizing about a «REAL» Sonoran Hot Dog” since I received a ten day trip to Tucson in March for Christmas.(YAYME) So, I went with the Mexican Pipeline(comes with fries & small cup of pineapple coleslaw). It was very good, but for the cost $ 10.50 I would not order it again. I must say the quality of the hot dog was very good, the bacon was lost in the black beans for me but over all it was the best Hot Dog I have ever ordered in a sit down joint :-)(look for reviews and pics in March from Tucson) Law was upset a coke cost $ 2.50 but Jensen Beach is a tourist spot and you expect that in such areas. The owner made Kona Beach Café for us. His energy/vibe is what keeps this place a go to spot in my opinion. His wife was the one who sat us but other then that we had no contact, she got busy seating the masses coming in. If your looking for a Beach Café in Jensen I would say head in and give it a try.
