Extremely rude when I brought back skunked/expired Stella cidre. Tried multiple times to explain that the cidre is expired or does not taste like how it is. They were immediately defensive in stating that they purchase this recently. Recent or not, the cidre still doesn’t taste right. Would not give me refund for the product. Only gave me exchange for what I brought back(which was two unopened bottles). I had threw the ones I opened down the sink. I mean… If I had known! Would not come back here, they do not deserve my business.

1 star for this place based on the terrible way the owners chose to run their business. I came in here a few weeks ago and bought a small cheap bottle of red wine. The SECOND I walked out of the liquor store-the bag split and the bottle of wine smashed on my foot & ground…(thank god I didn’t have flip flops on). I turn around & walk back in and explained the situation. I am not one to seek out a freebie ATALL, I have a difficult time sending back poor meals at restaurants but I was hoping they would be able to help me out or at least meet me halfway. Especially considering I could point to the broken glass on the sidewalk out of their store window. Not only did the cashier say he couldn’t do anything about it, he blamed it on me and gave me an awful attitude! I remained calm and asked if I would be able to speak to a manager or store owner and was basically laughed at.

By no means do you need to wear your Sunday’s finest for this spot. You don’t mind the fact that it’s a little leaky, a little dirty, because of the really sweet and attentive guys that run this place. This spot is small, but does seem like they have a pretty stocked inventory of the hard stuff. I didn’t buy booze this trip around, but they had plenty of bags of ice at $ 1.50 a pop. I was solo so carrying 10 bags was not an option. They didn’t offer to help, but they trusted me enough to come back and pay on my second trip. I did return, in case you were wondering. Definitely a solid neighborhood package store.

Anyone who hates on this place is not familiar with liquor stores in the hood. This place is aces. Do you have to check expectation dates for beer? Yesssssh. Unless you buying tall boys. Other than that, prices are good, got a decent bottle of champagne for $ 17. Each and every time I’ve been in here staff are so nice and jovial, almost temped to go 5 stars.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I opened up a beer out of a six pack from here and something tasted a bit funny. I checked the date on the bottle and it said August 2011! 22 months ago! Cannot believe this store is still trying to sell that beer. 2 of 6 in the pack had dates from 2011 on them. The rest had tomorrow’s date as the expiration date. I realize it’s only two beers, not a big deal. I’ll just never visit this store again.
