My mother was at Cusack Care Center(formerly Center for the Blind — see their website for more information) in Jersey City in 2012 and I couldn’t have been blessed more. The facility had a hospice area(where my mother was through Compassionate Care) and I spent 10 days there with my mother, so I was able to get a feel for the facility and a good overview of their service. The Catholic feel of care and cleanliness was outstanding and the staff was very attentive not only to my mother but to the other residences. There was a sense of peace and quite which I deserately needed at the time. Some sisters(nuns) who lived and worked there previously come every day and with such an upbeat demeanor. I watched the residences(who were there for rehabilitation) carefully and was impressed that they were happy also. Without hesitation I recommend Cusack Care Center.
