Went on a Friday late evening. Ordered Keema pav, Parsi berry pulao and Irani chai. Good quantity and very tasty. A fresh new addition to Indian street in Jersey city. Eight tables cramped up in a very tight spot, but that’s typical of chai places. Place could do with little more cleaning though. Would recommend and definitely visit again.

The irani special chai was the best chai(tea) I ever had in my life. Also, vada-pav, samosa-pav were tasty. If you live near jersey city, you must visit this café! :)

These guys have the best fast food in the whole of Indian street. I love their pizzas and the chats. Everything is made to order and is fresh off the stove. I just love when people respect food and feed people with passion. We usually order in through the Foodler app which is $ 5 in extra. The pizzas are always perfectly baked and they cater to your palatal needs. My favorites are the hydrogen bomb pizza(all the meats possible with peppers and jalapenos, to die for! $ 14 — serves two), the atom bomb pizza(this a pizza stuffed with veggies, yum again, but I like meat in my food better $ 12– serves two), the pav bhaji(perfectly made bun and great tasting bhaji $ 7) and the chicken tikka pizza(great tikka and $ 12 — serves two). My friends tried the rolls and claim they are good too. The Irani chai here is said to be famous here. Tried, but not a big fan personally. The staff is courteous and polite, the food is great and the place is clean. What more does a good restaurant need?!

Firstly, let me market this place to the uninitiated. Fido’s is trying to be an Iranaian café for those familiar with these antiquated establishments present in Mumbai/India. They share roots and culture with Persians and are famous for thei rmilk tea with khari and rusk(like savory puffed pastry/biscotti) and bun(challah bread). The tea and bun is average in my opinion and does not stand upto the authentic ones. However their kati rolls, kheemas and Indian style pizzas are solid. For the brave, try their atom bomb pizza that has a spicy veg mix with jalapenos and pepper flakes… really hot. A special shout out for their dal, which is very home style and can transport you back to your kitchen on its own !

Yummiest place on Indian street. Simply love the Indian style pizzas here. Also amazing chicken salli, egg bhurji and misal paw. It’s one of the places you don’t mind having your cheat meal at.

This is a great new find on the Indian street. This place is quite different from the other places in this area. The Keema pav and salli keema pav both were great, nice and spicy. The salli keema is tangy as compared to the regular keema and has crispy fried potatoes on the top. Also tried the irani chai and Brun maska. The Irani chai is quite different from the other chais we normally get, it’s not strong like other teas but a little on the mild, sweet and milky side, but the elaichi saffron flavor is quite pronounced. Nice and different, husband really liked it. Must try it.

Pricing — more than fair Food quality — 4⁄5 Summary — The food was alright. The spice level was medium wasn’t as authentic and spicy as expected. Did order as take out so maybe that had an impact on my experience as it was a large order so took a while for everything to be made.

We went here for dinner, and the owner was honest enough to let us know that it would take about a couple of hours for our orders to arrive. So next day we ordered food at home; berry pulao, chicken salli, chicken bhuna roll. The food was great, exceeded our expectations. Would love to try other items from the menu.

Really awesome food and super nice staff. They are new and very keen to make the customer happy. I went there with my husband and ordered irani chai and chicken salli and chicken roll. Chai was a little sweet for me but my husband loved it and the snacks were really good. We plan to go there again and try other things too. Its not very pricy and the quantity is good.

The food is great, the staff friendly and service is prompt. The keema pav is one of the best I’ve had in a long time, so is the berry pulao. Step into Fido’s on a cold day and sip the Iranian tea, you will love it!

Fido café is a little gem. They offer food which is authentic to what they claim. Their Irani cutting was a little too sweet for me but so tasteful that I gulped all of it. We ordered Misal pav(yes, they have a secret menu), tandoori chicken roll and bun maska. Everything was made to perfection. The staff was very polite and nice. We are definitely going back to this place more often now.

One Saturday evening, I was looking for place that delivered in the area on Unilocal’s Eat24 app. I happened to come across Café Fido. Now I’m not normally a huge fan of Indian food but this place looked interesting. It was more like fast/modern Indian, which I had never really had. Then when I saw one of the pictures of the chicken tikka pizza, I was sold. Chicken Bhuna Roll(chicken, bell peppers, onions, cilantro) — I liked it. The chicken wasn’t dry and the naan held everything in it perfectly. For rolls, you can choose the type of bread you want. The only one I had heard of was naan so I went with what I knew. They also had ones called atta, besan, maida, and palak. After that, you choose your spice level — mild, medium, spicy, or very spicy. I ordered medium and it was just right. Chicken Tikka Roll — I’m not sure what made this different from the chicken bhuna roll. Maybe the seasoning? The only major difference is that this was my boyfriend’s roll, which he ordered as very spicy. I tried a bite and my tongue was on fire. He eats really spicy foods and even he said this was a little too spicy for him. Hydrogen Bomb Pizza(mix of all meats with jalapeños and chili flakes) — now I’m not too sure what«all meats» entails, but if I had to make an educated guess based on their menu, I would say chicken and mutton. Like their rolls, you can choose the spice level. We ordered spicy and I discovered that spicy is TOO spicy. At least for me. I don’t like to be chugging water in between each bite. Would definitely order again, especially the pizza. But I’ll be sticking to medium spice. The only thing is — all the food was cold by the time is arrived so we had to reheat. Maybe I’ll try sitting in next time so everything will be freshly made.

Paneer Tikka Pizza — Slightly sweet with a poor base, though, the spice pizza sauce was still pretty good 3⁄5 Vada Pav — 4.5÷5

Wow the food is AMAZING !!! Felt like I was in heaven after. The waiter was great as well– honest and straight forward yet friendly. Newark ave generally has service that is below average so it was nice to feel a change. I just hope they’re paying them well as I had a friend who worked here(she didn’t have papers) and they kept all the tips!!! And paid them hourly like less than $ 5 dollars. Sucks! The food tasted similar to Partha junction so I had a feeling they were connected. We ordered the keema pav with chaapati(don’t get the pav) it was toooooooo good best I’ve ever had. Also had the chicken bhuna roll which was delicious. Irani chai was excellent and sweet no need for sugar. It’s ideal for a chai person. You must visit — way too good not to experience will be returning very soon and very often !

The same owners as Paratha Junction. When they moved Paratha Junction to its new home, they opened a Parsi café. Irani chai and Bun Maska are a must. Pick from the«Irani Hotel Special» of the menu if you want something more«substantial» — Potions sizes are a little smaller than normal for USA. So you might want to order more than one item of looking for a meal. As with other places in Journal Square, keep cash handy. They have a minimum of $ 15 for credit card transactions. They recently put up some framed cartoons on the walls. Makes the bright red interiors a little more bearable.
