Went to them with intermittent knee pain and discomfort. They took X-​Rays, said they didn’t see anything, and sent me home.
Later I went to a Real Orthopedist in Manhattan, who sent me for an MRI, who found torn cartilage in the knee and recommended surgery which fixed the problem.

The Gotham city orthopedics physical therapy is a complete fraud. They say they charge around 150 dollars per appointment but when my bill came it was around 800 dollars per appointment. They had items like 10 min icepack — 200 dollars. 10 min heat pack — 200 dollars. Also the main physical therapist will see you on the first trip and then for only 5 minutes for each successive appointment. Stay away from this place.

From day one the physician and staff have been very compassionate and caring. All my questions were answered and instructions for therapy couldn’t have been any clearer. I’ve been to the office numerous times and would highly recommend their team to anyone in need.

I love my doctor (Heitman) and he is extremely knowledgable. However, I have never been in an out of the office in under an hour and a half. If you make an appt here, make sure you block out at least 2 hours. Even if it’s just for a follow up.
