Park Avenue Pizza

One, they were late by 45 minutes in delivering the pizza. Two, the pizza itself was terrible. I had the white ricotta special pizza and it was the toughest thing I have ever had to bite into. The pizza was greasy, tasteless, and just bad. The food was cold which made it even worse. The garlic bread with cheese was not even garlic bread! It was just a loaf of bread, dunked in grease and smothered with some nasty green stuff in between. Never ordering from this place again!

Park Avenue Pizza consistently delivers exactly what I’m looking for in a neighborhood pizza joint — regularly tasty pies, fresh toppings, classic robust red sauce, an extra crispy crust (upon request), fast service, affordable prices and friendly staff. Tonight I deviated from my family’s regular weeknight pizza order and got myself a social order eggplant parm sub with added provolone and ricotta and a pepperoni roll. They arrived almost a foot-​long, flavorful, and fresh out of the oven. Delicious! Plus they arrived in under 30 minutes.

White ricotta pizza was delicious! Delivery was on time with estimate. Will order from here again.

Ive only had their food once and maybe everything else is better. I ordered the chicken Francese with rice and It came in a orderly time, delivery guy was cool etc. However, the food was trash. Chicken francese is chicken breast lighly breaded and cooked in lemon, garlic and flavors of that sort. My food came, I opened it and it was two plain chicken breast over a huge bed of spaghetti. Where’s the rice? Where the flavors and sauce It was supposed to come in? I’m so disappointed!

My boyfriend lives in the area and we walked in recently when just taking a walk around the neighborhood. He had the meatball slice and said it was great! I ordered a buffalo chicken, which was not bad but also nothing to write home about. The staff was friendly and the place was very clean!

One of the only places I can get thin crust pizza in the area. (The only reason I order from here.) Their menu has a lot of variety but I have only purchased pizza from here. It’s located on a busy main road. It could be hard to find parking if you are coming here to pick up your food.

Most awful place. Do not go there and half the reviews are fake. I wish there were minus marks. rudest customer service.

Skip the BBQ chicken pizza. Despite solid reviews (really was excited to try this place) my BBQ chicken pizza was simply BBQ chicken put on a pizza crust.
Maybe I’m off for expecting more but this item was two ingredients. Very strange.
Am I missing something?

Ordered 2 pizzas and chicken tenders, one pizza with chicken and ham and only came with chicken; 2^nd pizza was supposed to be sausage, peppers and onions and ONLY came with sausage. Delivery took about 1.5 hours.

I thought this would just be a regular pizza spot
I went in and saw they had a nice variety of pizzas to choose from so I choose a margarita and it was absolutely excellent… every time I stop around this area I gotta go in and get a slice. I had the chicken Caesar salad slice too and that was really delicious. Subs and cheese fries (mozzarella not that cheez whiz junk) were good too.

I am SO happy I found this place. I have ordered here twice and my roommate has ordered once, and we have been super impressed every time. The pasta is delicious and the alfredo sauce is just to die for. I ordered the tortellini with alfredo and chicken last time, and it was enough food to last me 2.5 meals. I ordered the spinach ravioli with alfredo this time, and it’s so good I think I’ll be finishing it off this sitting (yes, I’m typing this review while chowing down). The salads are average, nothing out of the ordinary. I haven’t even tried the pizza yet, but I am hoping it’s just as good as the pasta! The wait time is reasonable too, it was 45 minutes for the delivery.

I love coming here and getting a tasty slice.
I haven’t gotten anything else, but this is defiantly my go to spot if I’m going to my friends house.

Nice Hot food delivered. Very tasty eggplant parm and ravioli. First time I’ve ordered, I definitely will again. Friendly staff, Great job.

Ordered through grub hub at 5:55. Called the store at 7:20,we were informed our order was «out the door» (‘park ave pizza lingo’ that the delivery person was on their way-​to Hamilton Park area)
Called again at 8 pm to again inquire. At that time we were told our order was never received,
ARE YOU SERIOUS!
I understand the holiday was most difficult for this vendor, but this insures we will never, never patronize this business.

Despite the negative reviews, i decided to give this place a try. Let me start with, though I wasn’t thrilled by everything, I enjoyed the pizza… I’m very picky when it comes to pizza. :-) I ordered a personal pizza with meatball, and added garlic to it. Delivery didn’t take long and when it arrived, I was surprised with the size. .I couldn’t even eat half, so leftovers! It was very tasty. I didn’t find the dough too soft and didn’t find the cheese oily at all. I really enjoyed it. My only complaints were that I had requested that they don’t put too much garlic and it seemed as though someone had just spooned on pureed garlic (and I love garlic), and it could have been hotter. I mention the garlic because I’ve seen other people mention it… makes me wonder how much they’d put if I hadn’t said anything. Overall, I would order from here again.

EWW! GROSS! STAY AWAY! I’m not one to complain but Park Avenue Pizza in Jersey City is flat out disgusting! My boyfriend and I ordered pizza and salad for delivery. The driver took well over an hour to arrive and when we finally got the food the pizza was cold and the salad was warm from sitting on top of the pizza.
The pizza was spongy with orange/​brown cheese; definitely processed. We ordered pepperoni, olives, and green peppers toppings but they were mushy and gross. The salad looked rotten. The iceberg lettuce was brown on the ends and the veggies were soft, mushy and slimy. Not crisp or fresh at all.
The worst part is when we called to tell them we were unhappy with the quality, the staff was rude and told us the food was fine. Excuse me? I thought the customer is the one to say whether the food is fine or not? Anyway, they refused to send another pizza or salad and refused to give us any kind of refund!
Luckily we ordered via GrubHub and GrubHub gave a coupon for another order so we ordered from Margherita’s in Hoboken and it was fabulous! We will NEVER eat anything from Park Ave Pizza again and I hope you don’t either!

Great pizza, fresh topping, Fast & courteous service. Ordered here about 6 times in the last month. Garlic bread is great. So far only the wings fall short. Frozen box wings super breaded so they are out, but the rest is A-​OK.
Make fresh wings and you will be perfect!!!
Park Avenue Pizza In!!!

Got really bored of the pizza places nearby, and I’m a pizza lover! Saw the menu and decided to give them a try. Now we order from them at least once a week… not all pizza. Good guys, and last time I wanted to take a pic of the pepperoni Pizza, but by the time I came back to kitchen with phone that pie was murdered! Not cheap on ingredients.
Also wanted to mention there pepperoni Is beef and not pork, nice alternative.

Good stuff! The fiancé and I have been dying to find a new pizza spot (ours has been sub-​par lately), so we were excited when we got this new menu in the mail.
We ordered the Park Ave. pie (pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, pepper and onion), well done. It was delicious and for once, we actually got a pie that was truly well done. Perfect!
We also ordered the garlic bread with mozzarella cheese which was fantastic. My only complaint is that we didn’t order 64 more. So yummy.
I only knocked off one star because most places offer free soda with the order of a large pie. Obviously, this is just me being nitpicky.
This place is great. They were polite over the phone and delivery was quick. We can’t wait to try other things on the menu! Woo hoo!

Discovered this place via grub hub and I’ve ordered from them a few times. The best part of their menu is the ricotta pizza, which is very tasty and inexpensive for its size. I can’t speak for the other pies as I’ve only ever gotten the ricotta. As for their other offerings, I thought they were average at best and sometimes below average. I think their main issue is that they overload on a particular ingredient, to the detriment of the overall dish. For example, the garlic bread is drowned in garlic cloves to the point of not even being enjoyable. Their beef patties were passable, but certainly not memorable. On one occasion, they forgot pieces of the order and took over an hour to redeliver the item and upon arrival it was already pretty cold. Other than that however, delivery has been prompt and there have been no other issues. Overall not a bad place solely because of the ricotta pizza but it does not really stick out as a place to continually visit.
