Peking Delite Chinese Restaurant

Has been my neighborhood Chinese spot for as log as I can remember. Always quick with delivery, hot, and cheap. I have to be careful with most Chinese spots due to an allergy to MSG but never have to worry with this place.

For sure better than any other Chinese spot in the West Side. Henry’s Wok is close but a bit different. They consistently deliver good food. There’s a reason why I walk past 2 other Chinese restaurants to come here — one which is less than a minute walk from me.

Disgusting place! I found a roach in my Chinese rice! Omg makes me want to never again order any Chinese! I went to show them myself they just offered another order! I told them they were pigs and this place should be shut down! I called the health inspection on them! I work so don’t have the time to sue but ugh I don’t recommend anyone order from these disgusting people!

I really like the food here. Quick and tasty Chinese food. As far as the other local Chinese restaurants in the area, this one is superior in most things. I love the bbq spare ribs. I’ve ordered them over 20 times and have never been disappointed. The only thing I don’t like is their Lo Mein. I’ve tried it numerous times and it never satisfies. They also have a reasonably priced lunch special. As long as i live on the Westside, I’ll keep ordering from here.
Also, you get a free soda after you spend $ 10.

Best Chinese food in Jersey City. Anytime I go somewhere else I am disappointed. Anything you get here will be good. Try the general tso shrimp!

This place is solid. My favorite here is the lo mein (especially the pork lo mein). The quality of the chicken they use in the General Tso and orange chicken is quite good. I also enjoy the fried rice (nice big fresh shrimp in the shrimp fried rice), as well as the boneless spare ribs (greasy, but delicious). The fried dumplings and won-​ton soup are OK, not my favorite. Delivery is usually faster than they say. Some of the best cheap take-​out on this side of town, imo.

I haven’t had complaints since I’ve been ordering here for more than ten years. I usually pick up and don’t do delivery so I wouldn’t be able to comment on that. The food is what you expect from your local Chinese spot. I usually go with the Chicken Wings and an order of Beef with Broccoli. Sometimes I’ll mix it up and have the Beef Chow Fun and that’s great as well.
One thing to semi-​complain about is the fact that with the chicken wings, it’s hit or miss. Sometimes you’ll get a nice batch that’s meaty and has great crunch to it and sometimes you’ll get the skinny guys.
I have yet to find a Chinese spot with consistent wings like that.

I’ve been to Henry Wok several times since it’s closer but I’ve been wanting to try out Peking Delite for so long. So finally stopped by & got some chicken wings fried rice & Singapore noodles, my two Chinese takeout staples. Also got an egg drop soup at the last minute. When I asked for my total, the young girl added up the order, then did a second look, shook her head a little, glanced up at me, maybe it was a little smirk I saw (?), shrugged & told me my total. I thought it was a little high, but figured «hey, it’s a new place; and you added in soup at the last minute, you’re prob just off on the math.» (Her behavior was odd so it was memorable to me.)
Paid, & grabbed a menu on my way out too for next time I don’t have to wait. Most people walked in to pick up a phone order.
Got home, looked at the menu, and my mouth dropped! I was greatly overcharged!
The dollar amount isn’t big but I’m not at a fancy restaurant & I could just chalk it up to a some extra dollars toward tips. I’m at a Chinese take out place!
Haven’t tried the food yet — but I probably won’t be back. (Unless their food is such effing epic edibles (#alliteration) that I will die if I don’t have some again. But I doubt it.)

I was here last month when I visited my parents at work. They ordered us Orange Chicken and Pork Fried Rice! Delicious! Also try their sweet and sour chicken, sooo good. They delivered in under 20 minutes! These guys are quick, they must have used their bike instead of their car to avoid traffic. We gave $ 5 dollar tip because it was raining. ;)

We order lunch from here a few times a month. Food is always delivered fast. Their hot and sour soup is very good as well as their Gen Tso chicken.
