I am thrilled with this place. Let me get a caveat out of the way. This is an apartment building. There are lots of families/people living here, so there’s always going to be those few that you just can’t avoid. Selfish old guy who takes all the paper cups from the Cyber Café room at night, meaning no one has paper cups available for the free Starbucks coffee and cocoa that they have available in the Cyber Café? Yup, he lives here. Owner of loud, trapped, barking dog that barks like mad every time anyone walks by his room? I think that person lives here, I know their dog does. Minor road noise because the building is on Medlock Bridge Road? Yeah, our apartment faces the road, and I can see how a super sensitive sleeper might care about that, but without our air purifier on, it doesn’t bother me, and with it on, the white noise keeps you from hearing the road. Reading the only other review, yes, like every other apartment in Georgia that I spoke with, you need to get renter’s insurance. The trash is on the other side of the parking lot, which I like because I don’t want it right next to the building. I even use my balcony as storage for my bikes.(Which I guess some people would consider a con of living here?) While I’m talking about things people might consider negative experiences, I should mention that my door handle stopped working… the day I moved in. It worked the first time I entered it, but at 10:30PM, on my first day in a state where I didn’t know anyone within an hour’s drive that I could call, the door handle latch stopped working, and I was locked out. Maintenance eventually came that night and let me in. The leasing team apologized. The small touches, like soap in the bathroom and drinks and snacks in the fridge to welcome me when I moved in were the signs of effort and care that go beyond necessary and into the realm of high quality service. Now that I’m talking about the pros, let me mention some things I really like: The ceilings are high, there is crown molding, the Cyber Café does have complementary coffee and cocoa, the computers, printer and wifi there are free to use, there are big TVs with cable, the gym is nice and rarely occupied, the gate and access card system for the building, parking lot and pool is simple and works well, the pool is clean, the pool grills have been easy to use and had plenty of gas every time I go to use them… I could go on. I honestly think every member of the team, including maintenance and the leasing office, knows who me and my family are. I think they do strive to provide a superior apartment living experience as opposed to doing just the minimum required. It’s still an apartment, and there’s always going to be that one resident. If lived between barking-dog gal and paper cup stealing guy, maybe I’d be less thrilled with this place, but every person who lives here that I’ve actually spoken with and gotten to know has been extremely polite and friendly, and I’m very glad my family and I chose to live here.

Big bugs find their way in the hall way constantly. Security gate is left open on days it is windy since gates malfunction with wind. Garbage needs to be walked to trash or you have to put trash in your car and drive it to dumpster since dumpster is around 30 – 40 yards away depending which building you are in. Grills do not work near pool. Labels are unreadable so you can’t tell how to turn on the grill. I had a package delivered from Amazon and the leasing office had it in their possession for over a month before I received it. They gave us 2 gate keys. The gate keys both broke after 4 months at the point where the key ring holds them. You then have to purchase them again from the leasing office for 25 or $ 50. I forget the price. Many tenants use there balcony as storage. Not a good look for the price a tenant pays to live there. There are always tenants moving in and out of this complex. Every week you see 2 or 3 moving trucks either coming or going. Very high rent for poor quality materials in the units. Floors in living room and bathroom are vinyl type material. They are not hardwood floors or porcelain tile. Walls are not well insulated. We could always hear music next door. We complained to the leasing office and they told us to call the police. Here is information we were not told until we signed the lease. It is good to be aware of the extra fees. You must have renters insurance. That was an additional $ 115 per year. You will get a water bill. You will also pay a sewer bill. You also get a trash bill. These are all additional fees in addition to your rent.
