Great seafood — you can get fresh seafood raw or cooked to order. Be prepared for a strong fish smell, but it is a fish market! Stop by for a to go meal on the way home. The employees are very friendly.

The selection of seafood on offer was very limited. The pluses are the prices are low and they will cook the food for you to go if you like. The place is kind of divey, but popular with locals, there was quite a crowd ordering things cooked to order when I stopped in.

A small dive looking place that unless you knew how fresh the seafood is you would drive right by it. Scallops are big and fresh. Oysters are cooked perfectly. You can pick from the fresh caught fish on ice too. Everything is fried but the breading is light and they use peanut oil. I saw a hundred fried crabs go through really fast, served with flavored butter if u want it. I didn’t love the crab cake but everything else was wonderful. This place is takeout only. You have it cooked there or by raw by the pound and cook at home. No tables. Flip flop kind of place Really nice staff too

This was my brother’s favorite place in Charleston, and let me just say that we ate damn well in Charleston. We hit up all the tourist hot spots – Fig, Cru Café, Husk, but it was this little gem – this little old gas station dive that stole the show. We dropped by late one morning for a quick snack before lunch, and we immediately regretted it. We attempted to order light – a pound of fried shrimp and 4 fried soft shelled crabs, but trust me, if had we not been limited by the prospect of lunch in an hour, I probably would have gone in for a second pound of shrimp and another 4 soft shelled crabs. Actually, scratch the probably. The crab was so delicately fried, and excuse my language here, but the innards were so incredibly sweet! It was practically oozing out – it really was a beautiful sight. The shrimp, on the other hand, were such delightful little poppers. They were everything you’d want, expect, and hope fried shrimp would be – crunchy, but still plump, juicy, and satisfying. If you’re looking for some fried seafood and a genuine and honest taste of the South, give Fish Net Seafood a shot! It’s a bargain and an absolute gem! P. S. soft shelled crabs are not always in season, so I’d suggest calling in beforehand if you have particular items in mind! PSA: this is one of Sean Brock’s favorite places in Charleston, and I can definitely see why!

The fish is fresh. Probably a good place to buy and cook yourself. Not what I did. Went there because my brother insisted on some home fried seafood as he was visiting from Seattle. He liked it. I hated it. I got indigestion from the grease. Deep fat fried at high temperatures. I would say the grease was rancid too. Really, this is the greasiest seafood. I have ever eaten and I am 60 years old and lived 90% of my life in the South. On the other hand, if you do like it that way, I have to say those were the two largest flounders I have seen on my plate in 40 years. The slaw was good. Not my style but that is OK. The fried okra was not so good. I am guessing they buy it frozen and pre-breaded and pour it into the grease. The hushpuppies were satisfactory. The shrimp we were small and not fresh. Probably not local though the fresh shrimp visible on ice was large. I think I was served frozen shrimp that was dumped into the grease. Suggestion: when you order, select your seafood off the ice and have them cook that.

My mother-in-love brought me here for some Fried Crabs. This was my first experience & they were great ! I would love to come back for so many other things. The prices seemed very reasonable.

Best fried fish I’ve ever had. yes, better than Dave’s downtown. Call in your order and eat it outside where the gas pumps are. $ 5 for a huge piece of flounder and some white bread? Yes. Seriously, a piece of the fish fell on my hand and I thought it was sauce– it was so creamy. You need to check this place out. Also tip– make sure you don’t turn to quickly, the side street doesn’t have access to the parking lot.

I’m not from around here, New York. This food was nothing short of amazing. Shrimp=Awesome. Fried Flounder Fillet=Mouth Watering. The Jesus crab was so good it made me want to never forget that taste. The people were nice. The feeling was fun, not that much sitting room, we sat on the old gas ledge. It was fried food at it’s peak.

If you don’t like fried food, seafood or, more specifically, fried seafood, don’t bother driving out to this roadside shack. However, if you do like all of the above, then this just might be the place for you. Nothing fancy: just honest food for a bargain price — it’s a steal, really, if you go for what’s on special. We rolled into this converted gas station right before the 6:25pm last-order deadline and made the ladies haul their Rubbermaid tubs of seafood out of the fridge for a last-minute fish fry. They were happy to oblige. It’s not crab season, unfortunately, so we tried their special, FRIEDWHITING($ 1.79), which was crisp, moist, and perfectly seasoned(not too salty). I chomped right through the bones. The FRIEDOYSTERS($ 10.99/dozen) were fresh, plump and not overcooked. Fish Net is a dirt-cheap, no-nonsense fried seafood joint. It’s mainly a takeout joint, so we ate in the car. What it lacks in frills it makes up with freshness.

We always stop here on the way to my in-laws in Hollywood, SC… The best seafood in South Carolina! It is cooked fresh and the employees are the best. They only have takeout, but it is worth it!
