For a food truck, the food is amazing! If you want something fried, this is the place to come! The beer batter they put on their fish, fried jalapeños and onion strings is amazing. My favorite things are the fish tacos, the big Tex Taco salad and those Apple Pie fries. The fresh homemade beer battered fries are good, too! They are located at Hye Winery, but you can just pull up and eat lunch whenever you want. Best Food in the area!

Happened upon Lone Star driving from Austin to Marfa one afternoon and it was really the perfect find! We were hungry and saw the road side sign and decided to stop by. Amy and Neva, the owners and operators of the food truck, were closing down for the day but were kind enough to restart the fryer and whip something up for us. We ordered fish tacos, the Big Tex chili pie, and the Texas Spurs. The food was fresh and light. The fish tacos were full of flavor and the sriracha sauce was a great addition. The Texas Spurs were the best fried jalapeños I’ve had and totally addictive. The truck is situated right next to Hye Meadow Winery and set among beautiful trees and a meadow. Wish I lived in Hill Country to come back often!
