I have to say that I am truly surprised that before I came along that this place has no reviews let alone a Unilocal page. Why am I surprised by that? Because when this place is open for the season, it is constantly busy. Sitting along route 985 on the outskirts of Johnstown is this little roadside ice cream shop. It has that old time feel to it that is charming. You pull into a gravel lot and get out of your car and walk up to the one of the two windows and place your order. Within minutes you have your delicious soft serve in hand and you become happy. Flavors change out weekly and are quite interesting. My last visit they had a cotton candy flavor that tastes very similar to some cake icings. Even though it was interesting I ended up getting myself a chocolate chip cookie dough flurry. Think Dairy Queen blizzard and that’s what you have here. The only thing I think I could have changed about this was that I should have tried this with the chocolate flavor instead of the vanilla. There are days that I wish I could just stop here and waste away the day, but real life interferes with that. Who could pass up sitting at the picnic tables while eating that sweet treat. On a really nice day you could walk across the street and check out the covered bridge if you like, but I suggest just sitting there and enjoying yourself. *Cash only.
